a little rant (contains miraculous ladybug season 3 spoilers)

Ok, like

I don’t know what to think anymore?

While some episodes sound really interesting to me and I sense that they have potential (but I’m scared of how are they gonna be executed), some of them... ugh.

You know what I’m tired of? Luka and Adrien seem so chill around each other. And when Luka discovered that Marinette has a crush on Adrien, he didn’t even show any sign of jealousy, it’s like he was completely okay and respected her feelings. And what is going on with the girls that are in love in Adrien? They all fight. Chloe, Lila, now Kagami. I’m tired of it. Why can’t we see them being friendly with each other? Why is that the other girls that are crushing on Adrien are so manipulative and jealous of one another?

Jealousy is normal when it comes to love. But god dammit, that’s just tiring at this point. I really don’t want ML to show that girls are so competitive with each other. It’s almost as every girl thinks of Adrien as ‘their property’ and no one can even come close to him.

And of course, Marinette has to be the victim.

She doesn’t deserve any of this treatment. Expelled, really? Is it because of Lila or Chloe? She’s really not a bad student, all she does badly is that she’s almost always late (which can be excused because of the superhero job etc etc but whatever). She’s even the class president. Remember the S2 ending? And when everyone was talking about how amazing is Marinette? Yeah, I can’t wait to see how many of them are gonna be on her side when she is expelled. Better trust this one ridiculous girl, right?

I’m also a bit mad about the whole Chat Blanc and Felix thing. While I really love the idea of Chat being akumatized, and I also love the PV characters, it’s... wrong. This all belonged in the fanon. It’s almost like the show writers don’t even have the whole story throughly planned, and they just fill it with fans’ ideas. While some of us may be kinda thrilled to see this in canon, I don’t think it’s good. I would love to see something in the actual show which would positively surprise us. And that is not something taken out of the fandom.

This was supposed to be waaay shorter, but I guess I’m really just tired of this. Remember all of this is just my personal opinion and no one has to agree with me. I just wanted to rant.

So, That new episode...

Wow, I have to give props to Lila for making Chloe look like a saint without even trying. It’s almost surprising how willing Lila is be akumatized to the point where she knows the whole “Take their miraculous!” speech. Hell, she just grabbed the akuma out the air. Be funny if she showed up to school with more accessories on her, just to make getting akumatized easier.  I really want to know what is Lila’s deal and her reason for always lying about everything without provocation. It feels like she is trying to make herself sound better to cover up something flawed about herself.

And unpopular opinion but I keep seeing people call everyone in the class stupid (Especially Alya and Nino) but the way I see it is that Marinette has never gotten any solid proof that Lila is lying and she isn’t about to blow her cover as Ladybug to settle some high school drama with a mean girl. Plus, Lila is good at bouncing back from any exposed lie, unless someone had solid undeniable proof. So, Until Lila trips up, it’s better just to leave her alone like Adrian said (Thank you blonde boi for continuing to be the voice of reason.)

The way I see it is that one day Lila is going to get too cocky and she is going to tell the class a lie about Marinette and that is when things will backfire cause the class knows Marinette enough to know Lila is lying. Like, maybe there will be a few moments when the class is split but in the end they will chose to believe Marinette .

Anywho, I’m just excited to see where season 3 will take us. It’s a shame that we’ll have to wait while for episode 2 but if it’s anything like Thomas said:  “Try to survive season 2, because it'll be nothing compared to season 3.” This is truly only the beginning.

(P.S: I was just looking on the Miraculous Wiki at Lila’s page. In the trivia section, Thomas said that he made her to be unlovable. So...Mission accomplish?)
