★ i was looking back through my moodboards and thought of maybe doing another color series but with colors of spring. would anyone be interested? the previous series was colors of summer and i did a moodboard either dedicated to a blog/user on here or someone that claimed the color

★ i know this is a very long winded post so to reiterate: i want to do a colors of spring moodboard series. if you're interested, comment in the replies the color of the rainbow you'd like. i don't mind doing repeats but i'd love to do one of each so don't be afraid to ask for more than one color❣️

having anxiety is like okay i take a pill and the pill keeps the rapid heartbeat a little bit more steady and calms the nausea for the most part. if i'm lucky (rare) it makes me sleepy enough to be knocked out (nap or sleep). but the aftermath of anxiety makes it feel like i ran a mile and the coach is still yelling at me to keep going so i keep running and i'm drenched in sweat and out of breath but still running and it's been days and the race is over you won but i can't stop running no you don't understand i CANNOT STOP I HAVE TRIED IT WON'T STOP PLEASE STOP

the biggest revelation of the place we hold in the world is found simply by walking around in it among everything and everyone

you wanted to believe you were something more, that you make more of an impact. that when you don't go to that party your friends talk about how much more fun it is when you're there. that when you're not at work the shift drags on and it takes twice as long to close up. that when you're no longer dating someone and they think of "the one that got away" it's you. that even though you've packed your bags and made a life for yourself your parents still feel the empty space you left at home.

but it's the most painful reminder of what we knew we already were. to learn that nobody talks about you when you're not there. to see that everything is still in place when you get back to work. to be just another page in the big book of someone's love life. to hear that mom and dad "..are doing just fine. last night we stayed in and watched a movie together and oh! you'll never guess who i saw at the grocery store today..."

you're constantly told there is no one else like you, that you're one of a kind. but does it really matter if you're so special when nobody wants you? when nobody needs you? when the world turns out okay even when you're not around?

no two snowflakes are alike. yet how many of us actually stop and stare at each and every one of them? hold one itty bitty flake on the tip of your tongue, swallow, and softly whisper

"please stay. i love you. you matter to me. i care. my world is incomplete without you."

i was listening to this song the other day and noticed something very interesting and touching in the lyrics. now, i am not an expert in language or vocabulary so i'm only going based off of life experience and basic school education that i received. this is just something that i wanted to share. i'll be going a bit more in depth below so if you're interested in a bit of fun language meanings, continue reading!

translations of one language to another aren't always accurate because sometimes certain words are unique and hold special meanings in their mother tongue. one said example is shown in this song here. the word amor is a noun meaning 'love'. however, in spanish there is also the word querer, a verb which is used interchangeably. it can mean 'to want' or 'to love'.

example sentences of the two uses are:

"yo quiero comer una pizza." - i want to eat a pizza.

"te quiero mucho pizza!" - i want/love you so much pizza!

quiero is the more casual and common form of telling someone you love them, but there's another word in spanish far more special, more profound. that is the word amar. amar is a verb derived from the word amor. because this word is deeper, it isn't taken lightly.

example sentences of this are:

"yo amo la pizza." - i love pizza.

"te amo pizza" - i love you pizza!

more passion, more oomph than querer! but you wouldn't use this phrasing for just anything or anyone. when you say amar, people will know how serious you feel about it! now, back to what i mentioned above. because there isn't only one word in english to say this but rather a phrase, you can also say this:

"te amo." - i'm in love with you.

so you must be wondering, what lyrics is she talking about? well...

but what if we did what i mentioned just before this? what if we changed that last line? then the song would say:

"i wanted to, i loved."
