Miraculous Movie Character Headcanon
So I know I have zero to go on, and odds are this is wrong, but I have at LEAST until 2026 before it matters, so...
Chloé Bourgeois headcanon: This Chloé actually despises both of her parents. Her upbringing is largely the same as show Chloé, but she's made the connection that no, neither of them really love her as a daughter. She's a prize/trophy at best and an annoyance at worst. She openly resents them, but as with most kids she's powerless to do much about this fact, and so it comes out as bullying outbursts.
Some supports for this:
She neve mentions her parents, or calls for daddy on anything. The closest we get is a 'Do you know who I am?' which is a very general notion of self-importance, not the same level of parental-desperation.
Sabrina's far more independent around her. This is not a minion/master relationship like S4/5 tried to pedal. While it's still clearly more take than give on Chloé's part, it doesn't feel like Sabrina *has* to be there. She knows what Chloé is like, and that she can leave. She chooses not to. There needs to be more there under the hood for this to be the case.
The times Sabrina does look scared is when Chloé is raging out. This distinction makes me think she's mad *because* Chloé is raging and those outbursts scare her, perhaps as something abnormal. No Chloé's not a saint, she's a snob, but the intensity of these explosions is something abnormal.
What does this mean?
I dunno! It could lead to some very different interactions, and is mostly fun for laying around with.
Her path to change would be very different for one thing. Since a lack of self worth and feeling a loss of control in her life(parental inflicted) is the root. Heroing and learning to build her self worth by doing good things rather than by tearing those around her down seems like a solid path. This would be an interesting reflection of Marinette's own Journey in the first movie. Marinette believed she was nothing, and beat herself up for it. Chloé believes she's nothing, and beats everyone else up for it.
Zoé could be entirely different if she is brought in. Chloé might absolutely love the idea of a family member who is *not* her parents to be family with. If sisterly-conflict is needed you could have Zoé's absolute desire to be one big happy family clashing with Chloé's desire to have nothing to do with her parents.
Just some overall ideas that came to me and might be fun to explore in fanfic.

Clearly Mayura getting up to something. Maybe intro Lila at the end for the 3rd film? Emilié reveal&big conclusion in the third film for Adrien too.
For the second film:the remaining OG5.
Alya and Nino will probably be like in the first one. Background, included, bit not the focus. That's their *role*. They're the baseline normies we judge the disasters against. 🤣. We should get some djwifi and both Rena and Carapace will be heroes out of the gate.
I think the real heart of the movie And hear me out this is still extremely Marinette focused and based around her narrative growth : Queen Bee.
Let me explain.
Firstly the basic reasons- movie took new turns, keeps things fresh, merchandising, yadda yadda. Now the narrative ones:
Marinette in the first movie is someone who has a great moral compass but no confidence. She is learning to trust herself, and to be a *hero.*
Now, what is Marinette's next step?
*Translating* what she has learned, and applying it as she grows to be a *leader*. Leading a team made up of your boyfriend and two besties isn't exactly narratively compelling. You know what is? Using your experience to teach someone with the *exact opposite* problem you had. Chloé is All confidence, no moral compass.
Marinette, by facing this new/different challenge and finding a path forward, takes her next steps on her heroic ascension.
Not only that but Mari/Chloé were already silly in Movie 1 (I just want to have a nice screaming exchange like two civilized teenagers!) This can carry some of that comedy forward, and since 'Clumsy Mari' has been defeated we have someone else who can take some of the pratfalls from her.
It shouldn't be the *only* thing the movie is about obviously, but this interaction: turning an 'enemy' into an ally, growing, leading. That should be Marinette's next step.
I'm curious, what would you guys want to see in the second movie?

Miraculous Movie Sequel conjecture
I posted about this with a headcanon before, but I've thought a bit more about it and would like to expand on why Chloé makes the most sense for an arc in the sequel.
The most common pitfall for any sequel is attempting to retread the first movie. Reset the progress and rehash. It always feels cheap and shallow.
The second is to go completely off rails into something without grounding or narrative resonance with the first movie.
That said: We can't go through the Marinette becomes a hero arc again. We've actually resolved that. Marinette learned to face her fears and still be the hero she is inside. It's good!
Alya and Nino, Rena and Carapace. I'm excited to see them and I love them, but they don't have much setup for a narrative arc. I expect they'll hero up, but much like their relationship in the first one it's going to be a side-event that flows and is great to see without taking many turns or being at all unexpected. There's nothing wrong with that!
Of the OG5 though, Chloé in the movies is set up for a perfect complementary arc to Marinette's. Marinette had an exemplary moral compass, and lacked the strength to face her fears. Finding that strength was her arc. Chloé has plenty of strength to impress herself upon the world(a bit too much perhaps 😂) but lacks the moral compass to put all that energy to good use.
So, a situation where a Ladybug is training/helping/browbeating a Queen Bee into understanding what it means to be a good person lets that arc get explored while also putting Marinette in the mentor role vs the student/learner role she had in the first movie.
Their dynamic forged in the first movie actually plays into this. There is a surprising amount of give and take on the same level for the short screen time. Chloé starts out dominating the fearful Marinette. Then a confidant Marinette strikes back in a way very 'Chloé' like when you think about it (invading her space putting her down, it's aggro on aggro and we love to see it) and lastly there's an informal truce at the ball but both sides clearly willing to rejoin the 'battle' in the new year.
Will it happen? Who knows. It's set up though if they want to take it. The movie has thus far taken some very smart turns in terms of narrative and characterization. Hopefully they keep it up.
