A lot of half hearted bantering and inside jokes. Tom watches out for him like a brother of sorts. Their monster forms would play and groom each other quite often!

Been having way too much Pokemon in the brain lately, just replayed Legends Arceus, and I wanna throw my hat into the ring and give my version of Eddsworld and their pokemon teams.

I don't have fully fleshed out yet, all I know for certain is that in my world Tord would have a Houndoom (dark/fire), a Metagross (steel/psychic), a shiny Scolipede (Poison/bug), a Golurk (ghost/ground), and a Tyrantrum (rock/dragon)

Reagan would have a female Emboar nicknamed Mrs mama pig (Fire/fighting), a Grumpig (Psychic), a Lechonk (Normal), a Tyrannitar (Rock/dark), and a Drapion (Poison/dark)

Dante would have a Frosslass (Ice/Ghost) and a Murkrow (dark/flying)

Tom would definitely have a Chandelure (Fire/ghost), a Gengar (Poison/ghost), a Glaceon (Ice), a Toxtricity (Poison/electric), and a Hydreigon (dark/dragon)

Matt would have a Sylveon (Fairy), a Croagunk (poison/fighting), and a Milotic (water)

Edd would have an Umbreon nicknamed Ringo (Dark), a Pumkaboo (ghost/grass), and a Mega Rayquaza (dragon/flying) - I wanted to give Edd something overpowered to represent his poweredd/wtfuture versions, and since I see Edd as a casual trainer it would be funny for him to have this overpowered noodle lizard backing him up whenever.

Patrick would have Vanilluxe (Ice), Slurpuff (Fairy), Appletun (Dragon/grass), Alcremie (Fairy), and a Pachirisu (Electric)

Paul would have a Yamper (Electric), Arcanine (Fire), Daschbun (Fairy), Stoutland (Normal), and a dusk form Lycanroc (Rock)

And finally Vlamis would have a Weaville (Dark/ice), Frosmoth, (ice/bug) Baxcalibur (Dragon/ice), and a Hisuain Zoroark (normal/ghost)

That's what I got so far, might expand further if any more ideas come to mind! Suggestions are welcomed!

Tom's not much of a hugger, but any amount of money will do! Unlike the others he doesn't resent Reagan nearly as much.

Tord and Pat will take a little more convincing however. It better be hundreds of millions of dollars or else! Money and a hug in exchange? Nothing says they can't beat the shit out of him for free afterwards right?

He would eat that attention up. He would blow kisses to the crowd, wink, cry (fake) tears of joy, and pose seductively

How much would you have to pay Paul to hug Reagan and what would be Reagan’s reaction?

Dude, Paul has done a lot of things in the past for money. Desperate things he's not proud of just to maintain himself afloat.

But with where he is now, sorry, no amount of cash in the world is going to get Paul to touch Reagan even with a ten foot pole. He's more than happy where he is, doesn't need the money, and he detests Reagan. There's no way in hell he is going to hug Reagan after what he did to Tom, Tord, Ella, and Edd. As far as he is concerned, Reagan is a psychopath who deserves all the karma he gets.

The ONLY way I can see a scenario where Paul hugs him is if Reagan were to turn over a new leaf and heavily repent for his mistakes in front of everybody. And even then, Paul would begrudgingly hug him for like twenty thousand dollars worth of cash. It's hard to be affectionate towards someone who's tried to kill your friends, sad backstory or not. Reagan would probably tease Paul the whole time like "Oh Paulie <3 I'm so flattered." Before Paul slam dunks him to the ground. Sorry anon, that's probably no the answer you were hoping for.

But yeah, if Reagan ever works toward redemption, I can see Paul and Reagan gradually bonding over terrible family dynamics., and Paul serving as an example to let the past die in order to strive for a better future.

hi!! im super new here and just found always gold!! i was wondering (bc it said sequel) where i should start? is it in the "man lets talk" series on a03? is there an order that i should read it in or just read the whole thing? sorry if any of this is redundant!!! i cant wait to start reading !!! :3

Yeah, I recommend going through the order as listed in the ao3 Man, let's talk soon series. Start with My little test subject first, as this is the core of everything, it takes place after the Eddsworld episode The end. There are a couple of minor stories littered throughout the whole of Man, let's talk soon series which are more for fun and worldbuilding sake which aren't mandatory for the whole experience - read them if you wish, but you can follow the events of always gold well enough if you haven't read them.

After My Little Test Subject I recommend Rise of the Rebellion and then follow it up with Requiem, and then you can have the choice between The Engagement or jumping straight into Always Gold.
