You stared at the CTV security cameras with wide eyes. You couldn't believe what you were seeing.

Two people had broken in without setting off the alarm. They actually broke off the lock that secured the blood bags.

You have seen situations like this before. There had been a sickly patient with a rare blood disease that needed regular transfusions but couldn't afford it.

But this—

You watched as the man and woman bit into the blood bags and drained them. You felt nauseous just looking. You weren't even supposed to be here. You had only come back because you had forgotten your phone, and as you passed by the security screens, the break-in happened.

All you needed to do was leave quietly. You had already pressed the panic button as soon as they broke in. All you had to do was wait for the police cars to arrive any minute now.

As you got up quietly and tried to walk towards the exit, you turned your head back, paranoid that someone was behind you.

But then you walked into a wheelchair and knocked it over.

Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck.

You quickly stumbled to the nearest supply closet and hid in it with the lights off. The smell of bleach lingered in the air, and you closed your eyes as your heart pounded.

You tried to breathe quietly and slowly.

You heard the footsteps first before the voices, muffled at first until it came closer to the door.

"The schedule said it was going to be empty at this hour. How was I supposed to know someone would come back?" A man's voice said.

"Shh."

It became silent, and you felt your heart skyrocketing as you clenched your hands into fists.

The footsteps came closer to your door until the hand was on the doorknob.

You could hear the slow turning of it even if you couldn't see it.

The doorknob turned all the way, clicking open. You clenched your jaw and closed your eyes.

Suddenly, sirens were approaching quickly.

The doorknob was released as it turned back in place.

You partially released your breath and waited until the door was opened again but by the police this time.

There had been no sign of anyone in the hospital. The security cameras and the footage were destroyed. Still, it was evident that the blood bags had been broken into—empty bags on the floor.

You went home that night, exhausted and anxious.

You entered through your door, taking off your shoes before turning on the lights.

"There's our little peeping tom."

You jolted as you looked up and saw the man and woman earlier on your couch. The woman was smirking at you while the man had his eyes narrowed.

"You were lucky earlier but I wouldn't bank on anyone interrupting you now," the woman quirked her brow. "What should we do with her, Buck?"

The man stared at you, frowning. "Eat her?"

Your heart stopped in your chest.

"Don't tease her like that, Bucky," the woman glared at him before she looked at you. "We don't eat people. At least not anymore."

"What do you suggest we do with her then, Wanda?" Bucky rolled his eyes.

Wanda's eyes freely roamed your figure.

"This is the pretty nurse you were talking about, weren't you?" Wanda talked to him as if you weren't there. "Why are you all grumpy now?"

"Because we got caught!" Bucky scowled as he looked at you. You tried not to jump.

"Well," Wanda grinned. "Maybe we could see if our pretty nurse can keep secrets and make a deal with us. What do you think, miláčik?"

You had no idea what Wanda just called you, but you nodded.

"I...I can keep a secret," your lips trembled, and it wasn't convincing, but you'd keep any secret if it meant they didn't eat you. They were hot, but not I'd-let-you-kill-me hot.

"See, Bucky?" Wanda looked over at him. "Now maybe we could have someone help us get what we need instead of breaking into places all the time."

You had to think quickly. "I can get the schedule for blood shipments from smaller clinics and request them."

"You'd do that?" Bucky narrowed his eyes at you, suspicious.

"You wouldn't believe how much blood gets disposed of because they expire. Better that they get used any way they can," you chuckled, still nervous as you pinched the side of your pants.

Bucky didn't say anything else as he continued to stare. Until he finally said, "I still think we should eat her."

"Bucky—" Wanda started to say exasperatedly.

"In a way I think she'd like it too," Bucky smirked, and Wanda bit her lip, trying to hide her excited grin. "What do you think, doll? Want to give us a taste of you? Promise we won't bite."
