Literally just realised that the plot of That Fucked-Up Dark Sylkius Fic That Doesn't Even Have It's Own File (Yet) is basically just "anything and everything i do to make my OTP bang is justified, up to and including removing their ability to meaningfully consent to banging each other." Which is... interesting? Damn, is this fic secretly about Mobius as an especially toxic shipper??

I had realised there was the possibility of a few of the hypothetical readers of that story just going "awww, that was kind of fucked up... BUT AT LEAST MY OTP BANGED so that makes it okay and so i consider this story be cute and fluffy. *hearteyes*" but I hadn't made the connection otherwise.

Also because as POV Character Mobius would have the gift of Self-Justification In The Narrative where he's like "yeah but I didn't JOIN IN which I wanted to do but I didn't because that would be wrong and I would never do a wrong thing. engineering dubcon scenarios for other people is fine, however, as long as i am personally convinced that they WANT to have sex and just need a bit of a nudge to do so. and by 'nudge' i basically mean someone they trust non-consensually dosing them with sex pollen."

...actually putting in these terms makes me like this fic plot-bunny more than I did before, so if it does actually end up getting written this may be why.
