Monster Office FAQ
What is Monster Office? Monster Office is a worldbuilding project made by @TheFairyGodMonster. The objective of this project is to create and develop Character and Environment art as well as create a compelling world that can hopefully one day be made into an art book! To keep things fun though this is also a community where people can create their own characters and interact with others in the Monster Office setting!
Where does Monster Office take place? Check out the Setting Page!
What do I do to join? Anyone can join and all you need to do is make a character and start having fun. You can submit an application to the ‘Apply Now’ button on the main page so everyone sees your character. Then feel free to send asks to other members and show your interactions using the community tag #MOInteract. You can make as many characters as you want but try to keep the applications to two per person.
What can I post to the tag? The tag is mainly meant to show conversations/interactions between members as well as prompts that may pop up for the community once in a while. If you have something happening to your character that relates to others and the office you can also post it in the tag. However if there is a personal arc your character is going through that does not have anything to do with the Office Setting or other characters I would recommend keeping that out of the tag so things don’t become too cluttered.
Can I post NSFW stuff? Monster Office is meant to be viewed by everyone so please keep things PG in the #MOInteract tag and submissions. If you want your blog to be NSFW that’s okay but I would recommend making it clear on your blog and in your application that it is NSFW because some of our members are minors.
Can I include the Dreamons in my plots/interactions? If you want to interact with the Dreamons feel free to shoot an ask to the blog and I’ll reply to it when I can. If you want the Dreamons in the background or for some quick interactions for a comic you can as long as you keep them in-character! Please avoid making backstories that tie your characters to the Dreamons or creating relationships with them that I didn’t agree to. Remember, if you’re not certain always feel free to ask!
Why did that person’s ask get a drawn response and mine only got a written response? I have a full time job and do what I can but some asks just don’t have a lot to work with in terms of drawing a response. If it’s a simple question about worldbuilding or something I’ll probably just answer with a simple text response. If I can think of a fun drawn response I’ll try to make one but it usually means the ask gets answered later than sooner.
I work at Midnight Inc, can I still use the MO tag and participate? Absolutely. Midnight Inc. is an affiliate of REM so feel free to join the fun.
Do I have to work in the building to participate? Nope! If you wanna run your own business and cater to MO employees feel free to! Im sure employees need places to go and be when they’re not working.
BASIC RULES:
1) Be kind and respectful to all members and their characters 2) Keep it SFW 3) Don’t God-Mod 4) Keep your posts in-setting (Basically just make sure what you post makes sense in this world and don’t just make up your own rules as you go along)
I may add onto this if problems arise but for now this should do. I don’t have the time to police the community so if you have problems with another member try to handle it between yourselves but if an issue persists you can let me know and I will try my best to handle the situation.
Common Character Questions:
What gender is Fairy? They don’t have a defined gender but respond to he/she/them pronouns.
