moira re: talon.

here's the thing with talon. moira didn't join talon because they're evil (which they are). she didn't join them to get back at overwatch or to destroy the organization. she didn't join them because she's evil, per se.

the only reason moira joined talon is because they were giving her unlimited access to research, opportunity to do experiments, try new things on people (either willing or not) and progress her scientific career on some level, after being ostracized from the community.

they made her minister of genetics, able to do whatever she pleases with whatever she pleases and that's all moira wants. she'll do anything to progress her research, to be able to do the science that she wants to do. she'll do most anything for the means of her work. and if that means playing along with them, so be it. she isn't with talon because she likes talon, she's with talon because they let her be her, even if that's an immoral geneticist who should probably have all scientific rights taken away.

as we all know, moira has done some experimenting on herself. this has left her right arm very purple and veiny, but has also done some permanent physical damage as well. she has damaged nerves, either rendering them completely useless or frying them. she has caused herself a chronic pain that never truly goes away, no matter what she does or what she takes for it, very similar to the pain that gabriel reyes experiences with what she's done to him.

moira experiences a lot of chronic pain on a daily basis. she shows face for it, though, never letting anyone know just how poorly she feels or how badly it hurts. there is a constant dull ache throughout her arm, and throughout the day there is a lot of stabbing/hot pains that course through it. if pressed the wrong way, damaged nerves can shoot searing pain up and down her arm, and if she lays on it incorrectly it will hurt doubly the next day.

there's also a numbness that goes along with her pain, and an inability to properly use her arm at times. sometimes she can't pick something up, fingers unable to grasp the object. sometimes she drops things without warning, pain too sudden or numbness coming on without any lead up. she can feel her arm pulse at times. it's lucky she's ambidextrous, able to use her left hand/arm when things are particularly bad with her right.

she doesn't tell anyone, doesn't show any pain on her face, doesn't let anyone suspect pain or disability. she cannot appear weak, cannot appear as if things aren't working, or that perhaps her research and experiments have adverse side effects. she has created a serum for herself recently that she suspects will make the pain less severe –– and if that is the case, she will share it with reyes, after all this time.

that damage has also seemed to have extended up her shoulder and toward her neck and is slowly branching out through the right side of her torso / upper body.
