Posting an addition to ZM-verse.
Written largely prior to seeing S4 (everything but finishing out the sex lol), but not posted earlier because I was so fucking nervous about what they'd do to Homelander/Ryan/Billy. Well it's all fine.
The only thing S4 really negates is apparently Homelander is not fazed by cockroaches and I did not know that this is the sick kind of person he is at the time of writing, and have not edited it to conform, sorry Kripke (jk it's nothing). Also some of Frenchie's existential crisis about choices and freedom in season 4 seems to make an appearance here. It was written before I saw it, for better or worse.

The Indian Sodium Molybdate Prices witnessed a significant price drop of 19.7% in March 2023 due to lower demand and increased supply, including cheaper imports from China and South Korea. Although production activities remained strong in India, the decrease in prices was supported by a decline in overseas demand. Additionally, Chinese producers had high inventories, anticipating an increase in demand from both domestic and foreign markets, which did not materialize, leading to an abundance of the product in the market. As a result, imported products were cheaper than initially expected, further impacting the price drop.

Some of the scenes are from the “season 2” fic ZnMoO4.
Author is fretting under the cut.
I wrote myself into a corner by having Butcher promising to let HL reunite with Ryan the next chapter. It’s not a corner in the sense that I don’t want to write it, it’s an intimidation-about-whether-I-can-handle-it corner and high-activation-energy-to-get-it-right corner. So it hasn’t had an update since Nov 😒
But am I obsessed with HL recognizing that his phobia of being confined is also associated with being really really fucking turned on? Mayyybe. Am I itching to write something else in that vein? Maybe. Seriously considering snipping off the last bit of the last chapter and giving them one more day of PWP to settle into both being powered before collecting The Child— and having to learn to be a lot more ninja about their sexcapades.
Guys, is it an ao3 sin to excise part of a chapter written months ago? 😇

Back to Mineral mapping on Jom'Gol, here's the next TWO groups, BORATES and TUNGSTATES AND MOLYBDATES.
Both of these are so small I figured they shouldn't get a huge spotlight, so its better to combine them.
BORATES
Borax - Na2B4O7 • 10H2O - (Slate Blue) Kernite - Na2B4O6 • 3H2O - (Denim-Navy Blue) Colemanite - Ca2B6O11 • 5H20 - (Palatinate Blue) Ulexite "Cotton-Ball Ore/Television Ore" - NaCaB5O6(OH)6 • 5H2O - (Steel Blue) TUNGSTATES AND MOLYBDATES
Scheelite - CaWO4 - (Yellow-Orange) Wulfenite - PbMoO4 - (Tangerine-Orange)
There's only a few mineral groups left, but one of the groups (Silicates) takes up the bulk of all minerals that exist, so it is going to be painful to map.

Physicists find unusual waves in nickel-based magnet
Perturbing electron spins in a magnet usually results in excitations called "spin waves" that ripple through the magnet like waves on a pond that's been struck by a pebble. In a new study, Rice University physicists and their collaborators have discovered dramatically different excitations called "spin excitons" that can also "ripple" through a nickel-based magnet as a coherent wave.
In a study published in Nature Communications, the researchers reported finding unusual properties in nickel molybdate, a layered magnetic crystal. Subatomic particles called electrons resemble miniscule magnets, and they typically orient themselves like compass needles in relation to magnetic fields. In experiments where neutrons were scattered from magnetic nickel ions inside the crystals, the researchers found that two outermost electrons from each nickel ion behaved differently. Rather than aligning their spins like compass needles, the two canceled one another in a phenomenon physicists call a spin singlet.
"Such a substance should not be a magnet at all," said Rice's Pengcheng Dai, corresponding author of the study. "And if a neutron scatters off a given nickel ion, the excitations should remain local and not propagate through the sample."
Dai and his collaborators were therefore surprised when instruments in the neutron-scattering experiments detected not one, but two families of propagating waves, each at dramatically different energies.

Wulfenite is a lead molybdate oxide mineral that crystallizes in the form of masses, squares, or small prismatic, and tiny tabular crystals. This mineral is usually golden orange or yellow, but can be found as blue, red, grey, white, and even colorless. The color hues come from tiny traces of chromium within the crystal. Wulfenite forms in heavily oxidized lead deposits and can be found in association with a number of other minerals such as Pyromorphite, Mimetite, Hemimorphite, and Smithsonite. The first discovery of this mineral came in 1845 by W. Haidinger in Carinthia, Austria. He named it in honor of Austrian mineralogist Franz Xavier von Wulfen who had previously written about the crystals in the lead deposits of Carinthia. The Red Cloud Mine in Arizona (USA) has pulled out some of the finest quality crystals of Wulfenite the world has ever seen. Other notable localities include the Los Lamentos mines in Mexico, the Mount Peca mines in Slovenia, as well as the veins found within Bulwell, England.
