The Child (Rey x Reader)

Request: “Can u do a request where Rey and the reader have a child together?” requested by anon.

Words: 798 (when will I write something longer?)

It was almost dark, the sun was hiding behind the mountains casting shadows and protecting spots of a soft light. The sky was clear, you sat there looking at the tiny stars that started to show as the daylight went down. 

Her laugh combined with the rumble of the engines while she was running from side to side playing around.

"Mom look what I can do" she giggled and showed you her cartwheel, not perfect of course not, she was just a child. It melted your heart seeing her so happy.

"Oh my! Sophie that was fantastic". You applauded her. After the war was over you could finally spend more time with your little daughter without fearing losing her. She have been your reason to join the fight, to protect her and make sure she would have the peaceful life she deserves and all have been worthy.

You observed your little girl memorising every features: her small body running around, twirling and  falling softly to the ground without fear. Her hair falling over her face, that tiny dimple she has when she smile and her melodic laugh, she was so beautiful. She was everything to you.

You thanked the Resistance have won but most of it you thanked Rey. When she joined the rebellion everything started to work.

You loved her with all your heart, she supported you since day one, she was always there for you no matter what even when she was away you could sense her looking over for you and she loved Sophie with her life.

There was no secrets between you and Rey, when you introduced her to your daughter she was beyond excited.

Rey was a natural with the kids, she knew how to make them laugh and have a good time and she also cared for them, she cared for your little girl. With the time her visits started to make longer and more frequently, Sophie adored her stories and so you did, Rey was a  good storyteller. You two used to sneak at nights, Rey holding you steady by her side as you cuddle in silence, you liked to run your tum across her cheek, it always had the same effect on her making her blush sightly before closing the space between your lips, making you know how much she loved you.

"Mom she's here!" Said the little girl jumping. "She's here, she's here" laughing you got up and walked with her, both of you looked up at the sky to find the known x-wing ship landing. Then the cabin popped open and let you met Rey’s gaze, who smiled at you.

Impatiently Sophie and you waited for Rey to came out of her ship, the child couldn’t helped but run as fast as her short legs allowed her.

“Mommy” she shouted

“Hey kid” said Rey getting on her knees and extending her arms to recibe a big hug from your daughter, they held each other close until you arrived. “How’s my little pilot?” Rey asked Sophie, a big smile lighting her face.

“I’m good. Mom and I visited uncles Poe and Finn today” the little girl announced

“You did?” 

“Yes! Uncle Poe promised to teach me to fly when I grow up!”

“No way” yelled happily Rey, and then her face got serious “But I thought I was going to teach you”

“She likes Poe more” You teased Rey, she winked at you in response and you knew she was planning something.

“Is that so?” Rey interrogated, her hands starting to find the tickle spots of your daughter, she twisted and soon started laughing.

You stood there, looking at your girls the most beautiful of the galaxy for sure, nothing compared with this warm feeling inside you everytime the three of you were together. 

After begging for a long time finally Sophie escaped out of Rey’s hands and ran to hide behind you.

“Hi, Y/N” Rey said.

“Just hi” you smirked as she got closer and wrapped her arms around your waist, looking close you observe her soft face, your gaze focused on her lips, finally you kissed her soft lips gently and smiled at her afterwards.

“I missed you” She whispered “But don’t tell Sophie, she thinks I only miss her” you giggled.

“I missed you as well” you gave her one last kiss.

“Moms, can we got home already?” Sophie said.

“Of course” you said and extended you hand to take her little one in your, she extended the other to Rey, you walked home talking about each other’s day and the thinks Sophie wanted to do the next day and her dream to be a pilot just as her mom, Rey.
