Name: Aurelia Stray Age: 24 (Arrival on TSF) Gender: Female Height: 164cm (5’4) Species: Human Abilities/Magic: Powers of Veron Aliases/Other names: Moonbearer, Traitor (people of Sundry), The Lost Glow of the Resonating Moons, Veron’s Champion, Lia (preferred nickname) Typology: ENFP 7w6 Affiliation/s: The Mending Grey Relatives & Relationships: Arthael Taelvaan – Mentor and eventual love interest. Lia doesn’t approve of his indifferent and cold attitude at first and is unsurprised when he tells her that he only took her in as his apprentice because of her lineage so that he could use her for his plans. While she is annoyed by this truth, Lia understands that they can benefit from each other. Charlotte Cherry – Despite acting as mentor to Lia for a brief time, the two became emotionally connected and developed something of a mother-daughter bond. Lia became very attached to Charlotte to the point where she was hesitant to leave when Arthael requested the guild to be able to mentor her. Ultimately, her desire to learn more about her past and be able to tap into her abilities drove her to become Arthael’s student and she was forced to leave The Mending Grey and Charlotte behind. Occasionally; however, she would be able to visit Charlotte on brief visits where the two would greet each other warmly.

Backstory:

Aurelia was born during a time of prosperity and celebration in her kingdom after a long-running war had supposedly come to a conclusion. Her parents, the king and queen of Aqui Roya, craved an heir to commemorate the peace they achieved as well as to continue the line of the Moonbearer. However; due to an unpredicted attack by malicious forces fuelled by the desire to kidnap the newborn princess in a selfish attempt to raise her as their leader, Aurelia was forced away from her mother’s embrace moments after her birth and transported away to Earth through a portal.

‘Golden light who burns the night to bright, but she’s in pain, lost and longing - seeking, wandering, drifting her way aimlessly like a dog searching for its purpose through the fog.’

Personality:

Aurelia has always maintained a kind, open minded and considerate behaviour. She is known to be fairly independent, forced to do things on her own after growing up without much of a parental figure. Additionally, being raised without many friends and lack of family has led her to hesitate talking about her feelings of loneliness with others, countering it with humour instead or just flat out avoiding the subject altogether. Very conflict avoidant, Lia tends to make light of tense situations with humour but understands when to be quiet. As she grows older, she becomes more outspoken about her values and interests, and develops a confident, no-nonsense personality.

Every time someone says "Look at the moon" I hear in my head the narrator of a readaloud I had as a kid going "A lua! disse o ursinho." ("The moon!" said the little bear).

In English the story is called "Happy Birthday, Moon!" and is part of the Moonbear series (in Portuguese, Moonbear was renamed Bino)

I always also hear the part where the little bear admits to the moon that he lost the hat she gave him and she "replies" that "it's okay, I like you anyway!"
