✖️ Continental Considerations As I've been digging up past Boredom with the hubs and wheelbuilding, I was reminded of the significance of my choices. The pink Chris King hubs and headset, then the ENVE fork were all nods to the original Rapha Continental Bikes. This, in turn, opened up an entirely new can of worms that I realized was more significant than I imagined. I want to dig more into that later, however, and just continue reminiscing about the black and pink bikes I coveted more than anything. Aside from the colorway I think what struck me was that they weren't carbon and they weren't running the latest top of the line componentry or the lightest wheels. It sounds ridiculous to say it, considering the pedigree of the builders and overall prices of the bikes, but they felt more down to earth, more grounded. At that point, they were a breath of fresh air to what I had been accustomed to riding and selling for the past decade plus. I distinctly remember @mrjoestaples’s @mootscycles and @jeremyddunn’s @therichardsachs, but those are only couple of those legendary bikes. My @gunnarcycles build is far from what's considered top of the line with the 105 shifters, brakes, and cassette, but it felt as good to ride as it looked and I couldn't have been more stoked.
