My first painting since returning from Christmas Island 2 months ago. I entered this paint sketch portrait of my friend Australian photographer Rod Mc Nicol in the Doug Moran Portrait Prize - Australia’s grandest art prize. I am humbled and honoured to share that my painting titled “Smith street Elder and Friends has been selected as a semi- finalist. I discovered the opportunity a few weeks ago on Arts Hub.
