cats (wip..sort of)

i’m allergic to cats but if nico wanted a few i’d happily let them in my house. we’d run a lil cat hotel

finding some kittens and bringing them to nico. that’s it.

[Look]! you signed excitedly bursting into Nicolas’ room. In your arms you held three little black kittens all wrapped up snug in a little blanket you had found lying around.

Nic looked at you then down at the little balls of fur you were smothering close to your chest.

[Did you steal those]? His face was a mixed of concern and confusion. As much as he loved cats he did not want to risk the possibility of disease or encounters with angry kitten breeders. Today was his day to relax after all.

He got up to examine them. From what he could see they looked pretty much fine though a little drenched from the rain outside.

You held them out to him. “I did not steal them dumb ass. I found them on my way home”

Tentatively he took them into his arms. He never trusted himself with other living beings especially the little ones. With their fragile limbs and tiny little bones. There was always a constant fear he would hurt them.

[They’re so warm].

“I sat them by the furnace for a bit since I didn’t want them to die while I made them lunch”.

“Worrick…he will be mad”.

You waves a hand dismissively. “It’s no worse than the things he brings into this house”.

Nicolas nodded, mulling over the idea of having three kittens. Only for a moment though. [We should hide them for now]

Overjoyed you looked around, trying to find somewhere to keep the little things safe. Having a mini kitten family with Nic sounded amazing.

It was quite often that Nic was off on “buisness” and such trips usually took place over the span of multiple weeks , on rare instances even months.

Feeling his big strong arms wrap around her waist she smiled , enjoying the very presence of her beloved once again. Lonely days and nights now forgotten. The empty bed she had once had to lay upon would now have another body accompanying her.

“Get a room love birds. The whole world doesn’t want to witness the two of you making out in the middle of the street” Worick gagged mockingly receiving a dirty look from you as Nicolas placed you down gently. He was always so afraid of hurting you , afraid he wasn’t able to limit his strength. You admired him for it.

“Fuck you Worrick. You’re such a bitter old man”

“Ahh shut up I’m not gonna take this kind of treatment from the same chick who claimed to have cat like reflexes but fell off the top of a roof when a kid threw a baseball at ya”. He laughed ,leaning against the stone wall.

“That was one time ! I’m shocked you didn’t forget grandpa”. You retorted with a grin, taking Nic’s large hand in yours

“Aaaanywho I’m going to be kidnapping your partner for the rest of this fine evening …unless either of you gentleman have any complaint”.? An expectant look up at Nic who nodded , a small smile on his face

Dismissively Worrick waved the two of you off. “I could care less what the two of you get up to hell take him for the rest of this week if you wanna. Right now all I wanna do is lay down on my own bed and have a nice cold drink”. He paused for a moment looking you dead in the eye. “Bring him back in one piece okay ? And if you two are going to engage in “activities” do your best to keep it down the rest of us are trying to sleep”.

And with those final words of parting he was gone leaving you and Nicolas alone together.

You felt like a giddy teenager who was finally allowed to have a boy enter her room. A feeling excitement and sexual prowess filling your veins.

[Do you want to get dinner first. I have not eaten all week. Been busy] Nic signed , pointing down the road to a small ramen shop. It was one of cozier places within Estralum.

It did erk you that he tended not to eat as much on said “missions” but he was alive and healthy..ish so you weren’t going to waste your breath complaining. Nic wasn’t going to change regardless.

You shook your head. [I am going to cook your favorite meal tonight. I have things planned].

Nic smiled down at you again , embracing you in a warm embrace.

It was so nice to finally have that special someone who filled the emptiness within his heart. Twilights like him tend to be treated as pets by humans or just objects to fight in their petty wars. Never would he have thought a human would be the slightest bit capable of loving him. Of course he’d never let his guard all the way down in case of betrayal but he did hope to spend a good portion of his life by your side.

[Lets go quick].

Warm air met your skin as you entered your apartment throwing your jacket on the arm of the couch.

“It hasn’t changed”. Nicolas stated bluntly observing his surroundings.

“Well you haven’t been gone that long love , it’s only been about 11 days”.

[a lot can change in just a few days].

You dismissed his comment deciding to instead get things started in the kitchen. On normal circumstances you would sing softly to yourself as Nic rested on the couch or got up to his own things but tonight the two of you were all over eachother.

Similar to newlyweds.

[You know…I thought about you a lot when you were gone].

Nic raised an eyebrow in a mixture of amusement and curiousity

You turned the stove down low and turned to face him , placing the spoon in your hand down upon the counter.

[All day every day I thought of you].

[Is that so]?

You nodded. “I couldn’t wait till you got back and now”.

Nicolas tended to feel nervous when he got too comfortable with someone. There was always a chance of disappointment but with Y/n it was different. In the best way.

flu season

i caught a cold from my brother so i wrote this plus i needed a excuse to write for nico …this is sort of a wip but also not i just don’t know how to end it

“Eugh…I see the bearer of the plague hasn’t left yet” Worrik scoffed , covering his mouth with one hand and backing away from you in a dramatic fashion.

God, he sure was pushing his luck extra hard today.

If you weren’t in such a sickly state you would have jumped off the couch and given him a good & hard punch in the gut.

But alas. You were too weak at the moment to do such a thing. Instead you flipped him off , snuggling deeper into the soft woolen blankets. They smelled just like Nic. A pleasant mix of smoke ,cinnamon and fresh rain.

It was such a familiar, comforting scent you couldn’t help but be a tiny bit obsessed. Almost like home to you.

“Shut the hell up”. You paused to cough a few times. “Nicolas said I’m allowed to stay since he doesn’t want me on my own while I’m like this”.

“Are you serious right now !? You’re just as good at fighting as the two of us”. He protested “You don’t have to be HERE. I know you have other allies around here go to someone else’s place and make them sick instead”. Worrick was visibly starting to get upset as are you.

“What’s the big deal asshole ? I’ve literally been here for like a day”.

“Youre in his T.V. watching spot” Nicolas spoke , entering the room with a cup of steaming tea in one hand and what you could only hope was a cool towel in the other.

“Well why’d the hell you tell me to sleep here then dumb ass ? I know damn well one of ya has a cot in this place I could have slept in one of your rooms”. You quipped, looking up towards him.

Despite your pounding head you sat up and crossed your arms.

[ did not want to make you uncomfortable]

“And I didn’t want to germs to get all over it. I’m the one who does the cleaning around here ya know”. Worrick huffed indignantly.

“Nic just send her home please I WANT TO WATCH MY SHOWS”.

Worrik was acting as childish as ever. Typical.

He could be quite terrifying to those in the outside world but living with him is the real nightmare. Times like this made you glad you didn’t live with him and had your own place.

“Nicolas…I’ve known you both since we were young I really don’t mind sleeping on your floor. Hell I’ll even sleep in bed with one of you I just really need a nap”.

He nodded and shot a dirty look towards his house mate. Nicolas trusted your skills as a fighter and as a former assassin but on days like these he much preferred to have you close so he could keep his eye on you.

Just in case. Normally he wouldn’t give a care in the world but seeing you so weak..it scared him

[She is staying here…I will move her to my room] Nic signed and kneeled down beside you.

Placing the items he was holding on the coffee table behind he allowed all his attention to go to you.

Your eyes met for a brief moment only for you to close them quickly in order to avoid looking like a love struck teenager.

You’re a grown women for gods sake.

Placing the palm of his hand on your forehead he nodded to himself as if he was taking mental notes. Like a doctor of some sorts.

[You are very warm. I will get you medicine and you can lay in my bed]

“Are you sure Nico ? I don’t want to make you sick too”

[I don’t mind. I want you to be okay]

You felt your heart flutter inside your chest as he scooped you up in his strong arms and carried you off to his room.

Too starstruck to say anything you stayed quiet enjoying the closeness between the two of you.
