Here's my two cents, as someone with Shitty Parents.
Cerrit was not a GOOD dad. However. He was not a BAD dad. When he remembered to show up. Sorta got a Jim Carey in Liar Liar thing going on.
#exu cerrit#exu calamity#cr#like. will he win any dad of the year awards? no. but he's not even in the running for Bad Dads#my BIG piece of evidence for this is that Kir is a LITTLE SNITCH#more specifically that kir felt comfortable calling up dad on his little walkie talkie to snitch#listen im not proud of it but i was a Fucking Snitch as a teen#and i can PROMISE YOU if cerrit was a Bad Dad kir would NOT have felt comfortable calling him up about maya sneaking out#like. probably brennen didnt want to show Kir being scared of his dad because. oof..yeah.#BUT! still shows that cerrit was not an Awful Father that kir can still be a /cheerful/ little snitch#i dunno. i like birdman dad. he loved his kids and that might not make his shitty parenting OKAY#but it does mean that it's just Firmly Mediocre instead of Dogshit#you know what i mean?#get that man to his family. let him fix what he fucked up. in my head he made it. it wasnt Easy. but he made it
