Srikanth Bolla was born visually impaired in Seetharamapuram of Machilipatnam, a city in Andhra Pradesh, on 7 July 1992. The boy faced several issues in life due to the disability. Even after completing primary schooling, the student was forbidden from pursuing science in 12th. The child had to file a case and wait for six months until the lad was allowed to pursue the stream and later scored 98% in the board exam. The youngster was rejected from taking admission to the Indian Institute of Technology, where he wanted to achieve an engineering degree. Later, he became the first international blind student by attending the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Subsequently, Srikanth was provided corporate opportunities in America, but the boy desired to return to India and help physically challenged. Therefore, Srikanth co-founded Samanvai Center for Children with Multiple Disabilities in 2011 to create several motivational stories. Consequently, he started a printing press to provide educational, vocational, financial and rehabilitation services. In 2012, the intellectual started Bollant Industries that manufactures Areca based product and employs differently-abled people. The firm manufactures eco-friendly recycled Kraft paper from municipal waste or soiled paper.
