What's Mog and Sausage's dynamic on the superhero/vigilante au? Just wondering because my mind goes straight to some good ol' enemies to lovers. (old man yaoi goes crazy)

I had a dream that Mythical Man was fighting another villain in like a warehouse. All the windows and stuff were covered so there was almost zero light except for the spot Count Quagmire was peeking through.

Count Quagmire just watches Mythical Man at an enormous disadvantage, even losing and getting very hurt so he steps in cause that's his rival, no one else is allowed to hurt him.

I love this idea! Quag won’t let anyone touch his bae-I mean rival.

Also…people are having dreams about my au??? Like I don’t think I’ve ever had a dream with my own characters even.

in the superhero AU do Mog and MythicalMan/Count Quagmire and Sausage ever interact?

Yesssss they do!!!

For Sausage and Count Quagmire, it’s very different from how Quag and Mythical Man and Sausage and Mog interact.

Because Quag knows Sausage personally(and has romantic feelings for him), he’s very open around him and can even seem overly protective or clingy. And the whole time Sausage is trembling in anxiety and discomfort because he can’t really do anything about it.

Quag being emotionally unstable and Sausage being unable to transform into Mythical Man in front of him without revealing his identity means Sausage just has to….let it happen.

Quag could be seen venting or touching Sausage without his consent, because as Mog he usually wouldn’t have to ask. Quag is comfortable with Sausage but Sausage is not comfortable with Quag.

For Mythical Man and Mog, Mog absolutely despises Myth because of his time with him as Quagmire. And because Myth knows Mog personally and is good friends with him as Sausage, he is overly friendly and insistent while Mog is having none of it lmao. It might even turn into Myth desperately trying to win Mog over, because he can’t wrap his head around why Mog doesn’t like him as the beloved local superhero, Mythical Man.

Ooo what are their respective powers and abilities? (For the superhero au)

Sausage has the classic superhero abilities like enhanced strength and endurance. He can also fly due to his wings. A lot of his powers are light based and could probably be compared to the Green Lantern’s where he can pretty much summon anything he wants out of light(the only differences being the light is gold instead of green and probably has a lot more limitations to what he can make). A limitation I have in mind is maybe he needs enough light to take from his surroundings to make what he needs. Kinda like photosynthesis where he needs to charge up light. I also can see him being able to make plants grow really fast.

For Mog, he has vampire and bat like abilities like gliding, flying, enhanced speed and strength, night vision, echolocation, and other things I’m probably not thinking of. Mog relies more on his goofy gadgets than any magic or superpowers. These tools being a multi setting ray gun and spider legs attached to his back

Would the light he uses need to be natural? Because I imagine he would use flashlights as swords

I also imagine that his halo produces a tiny amount of light and only makes small objects

No, the light doesn’t have to be natural. I do think light from the sun would be inherently more powerful tho. The thought of him using flashlights as like a lightsaber is amazing actually. I’m definitely taking that idea sorry not sorry.

(hypothetically) what would happen if myth and the count figured out each others secret identities?

Uhhhhh it would be kinda rough at first but I think they would stop fighting, knowing that they both actually deeply care for each other. They’d probably start working together. And maybe get the extensive therapy they both desperately need.

I actually wrote a short and real rough fic about Sausage finding out Mog’s identity but uhhhhh I don’t wanna share it lol(for both spoilers and because I think it could be significantly better. Just know I think about it a lot lmao)

Been thinking about your mythicalswamp superhero au all day, I was wondering if either Sausage or Mog ever suspect the others secret identity? If that makes sense? Like, have neither of them noticed any similarities at all?

I think they would see the similarities between their superhero/villian personas, but untimatly brush them off because neither fully believe the notion the other could be the person they were fighting. They also don't want to believe it because their so close and it would hurt them to find that out, so they ignore it

May I inquire about Mogswamp’s motives in the superhero au?

Sure thing! This is actually one of my favorite topics in the au(with mythicalswamp as my #1 favorite ofc)

Mog is a vampire and relies on blood to feed off of or he will literally die. He can make mimic blood that works to quell his hunger, but it’s only a temporary solution, and as a freelance artist living with his roommate, Wandy T (omg and they were roommates), he can’t really get his hands on the things he needs. So uhhh he decides to steal them because he doesn’t really have time to save up money and/or get it legally.

I don’t have a solid reason for why Mog decided to go with the flashy persona of Count Quagmire, but openly being able to use his powers would be helpful and empowering for him. I think he’d have fun pretending to be someone greater than himself, at least in the beginning.

But of course, the fake blood would stop working and he’d have to resort to taking blood from real people.

And as for killing people and sucking them dry of their blood, Mog doesn’t want to do it. He feels intense remorse and guilt for everyone he’s hurt, but he doesn’t have any other choice if it means survival.

And as a vampire in a mostly human dominated society, he’s kinda gone down the stereotype that they’re all manipulative killers. He’d might as well embrace it if it was the only thing people would see him as.
