I uploaded a patch to fix a bug in Undertale Yellow (version 1.1 only) that occurs when playing the game in MacOS using Wineskin. (Wineskin instructions here)

Details of fix under cut (contains spoilers):

The bug causes the game to crash during the second phase of the genocide final boss, the error being "Pixel shader not compatible with this device." The fix is a workaround that prevents it from enabling the effect during the fight. I believe all it does is add that black stuff in the background during the Zenith fight (shown below, right is mac, left is not mac).

Fast-spiking interneurons (FSINs) provide fast inhibition that synchronizes neuronal activity and is critical for cognitive function. Fast synchronization frequencies are evolutionary conserved in the expanded human neocortex despite larger neuron-to-neuron distances that challenge fast input-output transfer functions of FSINs. Here, we test in human neurons from neurosurgery tissue, which mechanistic specializations of human FSINs explain their fast-signaling properties in human cortex. With morphological reconstructions, multipatch recordings, and biophysical modeling, we find that despite threefold longer dendritic path, human FSINs maintain fast inhibition between connected pyramidal neurons through several mechanisms: stronger synapse strength of excitatory inputs, larger dendrite diameter with reduced complexity, faster AP initiation, and faster and larger inhibitory output, while Na+ current activation/inactivation properties are similar. These adaptations underlie short input-output delays in fast inhibition of human pyramidal neurons through FSINs, explaining how cortical synchronization frequencies are conserved despite expanded and sparse network topology of human cortex.

Patching Pride Parade

At some point I found out about a mod patch(or whatever it’s called) that’d swaps character models so you can marry the same gender in Harvest Moon Animal Parade. The only problem was that I couldn’t make the patch work.

What you see here was what happened when I attempted to patch it, I tried asking around but the patch creator didn’t seem to know & I think I might have been stupid when someone sent a video on how to download the ios.(I want to thank & apologize to everyone that tried to help)

So the issue I was just using whatever ios I found on the patch. The patch only works on a specific ios that is downloaded in multiple parts.(I think the second person to help me showed this but I was to stupid to realize I needed a specific patch) A friend of mine ended up going step by step through the entire thing(downloading, putting stuff together & stuff) because I have moments were I need a shit ton of explaining when it comes to stuff like programs.

I’m making this post in case anyone doesn’t want to search around & because I eel like I might need this again one day. If there are any issues I’ll fix this or move it to another page & link it just in case if needed.

A lot of credit goes to my discord friend & the links under the list of stuff you need as they’re where I got my info from.

You'll need the following for the patching: -An account for EPForums(it's free & you can just ignore it until you need it again or just delete it after getting everything) -The patch & parts of the ios -QuickPar -Something like 7Zip or Winrar -xdelta UI for windows or multipatch if you have mac

You can find the Pride Parade patch & a link to xdelta UI & multipatcher right here You can find the stuff needed for the ios here which is why you need the account(text file has links in it) You can find links to quickpar & 7zip/winrar here which also involves the account(it has steps for using Quickpar if you don’t want to read this entire post)

Part 1: Getting the ios Once you make the EPforums account go to the second link from the paragraph(I dunno how to word sorry) above. You’ll get a par2 file for Animal Parade & text file. The text file has links to all the parts of the ios, download all of them then once you have everything just delete the text file. Make sure the rar files(do not extract them yet) & par2 file are in the same folder not sure if it helps but by themselves together in the folder alone.

Part 2: Fixing the ios After having the par2 file & extracted parts of the ios you install Quickpar from a link in the 3rd link. After installing it you open up the program, the image below(ignoring source files, base filename & path boxes because I made a mistake) is what you should see. If you’re checking this along side the instructions in the link to get quickpar you’ll notice it says to double click the par2 file. Aside from a popup with options(there are none) what to open it with you’ll get nothing, with the opened Quickpar you just have to click “Open” then search for the par2 file in the window that shows up.

Aside from hiding my computer username the markings just to show my mistake when I first used this. Anyway after opening the par2 file in QuickPar it will automatically start to repair the rar files with par2. It might take a bit so but once it’s done you can finally extract the rar file.(after the repair only one rar file will be in there) & delete the par2 file. If you want to you can now uninstall quickpar as unless you need it again you’re done using it.

Part 3: Patching iso After everything above you just need to download the Pride Parade patch &  xdelta UI or multipatcher.(I have windows & dunno how different these two are but I’m just explaining xdelta UI) Below I re-show my failed attempt to patch the iso because it’s still useful. You don’t need to install the program just open it, the tiny window at the top left is what you’ll see. You don’t really need instructions except part that has a red line you put in the correct & repaired iso.

In “output file” just click the “...” button & when the window opens up just name what you want the patched iso to be named. If you want to name it after the patched file just name it something random as long as it has .iso behind it(Such as “Animal Parade.iso” for me) & rename it after the patched iso after everything is done as for obvious reasons the program doesn’t want to replace the file while patching it. It will take a bit but once it’s done a window with an “ok” button will say it’s been patched.

Once that’s all done delete everything but the iso file that is the output file. Rename the output file now if you want to & move it to where ever you keep your emulator games before reusing or deleting the folder everything was worked on in.

With all of that done you can now enjoy Harvest Moon Pride Parade in your Dolphin Emulator. I probably won’t be because I got projects piling up & some other things to deal with like getting an actual remote. You win some you lose some but this has been the biggest issue I’ve had fixed, this took way to long to deal with.

The Arcana - Charlotte

Say hello to my Arcana Apprentice, Charlotte.

Charlotte mostly wears a purple top and a long multipatched skirt. Her accessories are a simple eyebrow piercing on her right eyebrow and a black Cat collar turned chocker. 

Before the Plague and her fallout with Asra, she worked at the shop during the day and at night she sang at nearby bars, but the constant was The Rowdy Raven. 

During the plague she worked with Julian, even a few times talking with The Count and Countess on a cure. When the falling out happened with Asra, she stopped caring for herself, which resulted in her catching the plague. 

She has a familiar of a German Shepherd, that is named James.

Her Masquerade outfit is a deer, James and Her do a skit every time the masquerade happens and during her and Nadia’s wedding. Chandra’s not impressed. 

NADIA’S ROUTE

-She was immediately taken with the Countess when she read The High Priestess card for her. Charlotte’s a bi mess.

-This poor girl had to crane her neck back a few inches when she met her.

- Chandra and James get up to mischief when the ladies want to go riding. 

-When Charlotte’s memory is given to her, Nadia puts them up in her room for at least a week, letting Portia and Azra to run the city. 

-When Charlotte met Nadia’s family, she was ecstatic.

-  Nasrin welcomed the magician into the family quite easily.

- Namar immediately wanted to work with her on expanding her outfit so she’d look more like a Satravina when Nadia and Charlotte got married.

- Nafizah didn't pay her much attention until the wedding, and learnt about James. James and her turtle chattered for hours.

- Nazali immediately recognized the magician but when Charlotte had curtsied to them, they tried to hide it. When the wedding came around, Nazali got crushed in a huge huge by Charlotte. Charlotte and Nazali regularly sent letters to each other while Charlotte was healthy before dying from the plague.

- Navra and Nahara are both very protective of Nadia and so didnt trust Charlotte until the wedding and afterwards.                                                                      ~Navra learnt of Charlotte’s dancing and wanted to teach her some Prakran dances.                                                                                                                ~Nahara at first wanted to teach Charlotte yoga but decided not too when the magician could just relax herself using her magic or potions. So, in turn, the two practiced fighting, with Chandra keenly watching the two.

-Nasmira was an immediate concern to Nadia when she arrived, actively putting herself between Charlotte and Nasmira. When the initial worry disappeared and Charlotte’s unwavering love towards Nadia showed, Nadia let the two be alone. Charlotte and Nasmira mostly talk about Nadia.

-  Natiqa was the Satravina that made Charlotte really worry herself that should she even be loving Nadia, seeing as Natiqa is the Ambassador for Prakra. The good thing to come out of this worry was that Charlotte learnt a few tips to wear certain clothing that reminded Nadia of home. 

ASRA’S ROUTE 

- She has always loved Asra, even when she was immobile.

- Except when she remembered her past and learnt that Asra basically fucked Julian behind her back.

-Same thing along with Asra about the height thing with Nadia.

- Faust loves James’ fluffiness and uses him as a heater when it gets to cold in the winter.

- Meeting Azra’s parents was a dream come true for her, Aisha was immediately defensive of Azra at first but when she saw the love for her son inside her eyes she backed off. Salim was very different from Aisha, immediately greeting Charlotte. 

-Chimes and Flamel immidiately took to James like that, Chimes, Flamel, and Faust all love curling up together on James’ back in the winter.

JULIAN’S ROUTE 

- Poor baby, when she tossed that potion glass at his head she immediately regretted it even though she was slightly confused when she noticed that the wound on his head had healed. 

- She has to stand on her tip toes to even reach his face. Poor girl can fit completely into his coat if she wanted too. 

- Malak and James loves to wake up the two, sleep deprived people.

- When her memory came back, she crushed Julian in a hug, almost crying. 

-Mazelinka remembered her but hid it once she saw the signs of a completely different Charlotte. 

MURIEL’S ROUTE

- When she first met him, she was actually quite scared.

- The second time she met him, it was quite the same

-When she met him the third time, she was prepared to forget him until he gave her the cure to this forgetfulness.

- Poor girl has to stand on her tip toes to even try and lean on his shoulder.

-INANNA AND JAMES ARE FUCKING CUTE, JAMES AND INANNA CUDDLE BY THE FIRE.

PORTIA’S ROUTE

-THESE GIRLS AND JAMES CREATE SO MUCH TROUBLE.

-JAMES AND PEPI LOVE YOWLING/HOWLING AT MIDNIGHT.

-PORTIA AND CHARLOTTE ARE THE SAME HEIGHT SO IT DOESNT MATTER, THEY CAN SHARE CLOTHES IF NEED BE. 

LUCIO’S ROUTE

-Okay, so Lucio initially recognized her, but when she said she hadnt been to any of his parties, he stopped asking.

-He was pleasantly surprised when Mercedes and Melchior came walking in with James at their tails, playfully biting at it. 

- James, Mercedes, Melchior, and Camio can be found during the winter to be curled up on the bed at Lucio and Charlotte’s feet when they sleep at night. 

- Lucio practically melted when ever she sang, remembering the nights, when she’d sing for him and Nadia, and occasionally Valerius. 

- Meeting Morga was a force that scared the hell out of her.                                           ~ Stepping in front of her when Morga got ready to kill Lucio was the scariest thing she could’ve done.

- When Lucio ran into the chains to get Chimes and Flamel, she freaked, rushing in immediately to stop him and break through the chains.

HARVEST MOON: PRIDE PARADE RELEASE V0.2b (update)

Finally! A mod to let you marry your favorite same-sexed Bachelors and Bachelorettes in Harvest Moon: Animal Parade for the Nintendo Wii!

This mod replaces the Male playable character models with the Female ones and vice-versa.

FEATURES:

Play as a ‘guy’ and marry the Man of Your Dreams, or play as a ‘girl‘ and marry your one and only Best Girl.

All outfits have been swapped, so changing out of the default outfit shouldn’t break anything.

Graphics for stamina bar and map screen have also been replaced.

Dialog for bachelor and bachelorette heart events, marriage, and childbirth have been re-tooled to fit.

Game Title ID changed from RBIEE9 to CBIEE9 to be compatible with GameTDB integrations. (Thanks, @sgibbz​!)

HOW TO INSTALL:

Run multipatch(mac) or xdelta UI(windows) (the screen both give you should basically be the same)

Select your patch file that you downloaded where it asks for a patch file

For "source file" or "file to patch", select your Animal Parade .iso file

Choose the location/filename to save it as. Anything is fine as long as it ends in .iso

Run the patcher!

The file that it spits out is playable immediately!

For the dolphin pack:

Unzip the folder you downloaded to your Documents\Dolphin Emulator\Load\Textures\CBIEE9 folder

In Dolphin’s “Graphic” settings window, click on the “Advanced” tab

Check “Load Custom Textures”

KNOWN ISSUES:

I’ve gotten reports that the mod may not work on an actual modded Wii. I will look into this, but finishing the mod first is my main objective.

All animations are still tied to the ‘original’ gender.

Some of the dialogue/text has not been changed, such as some events and the names and descriptions of the outfits.

Children may still refer to you by the wrong name (i.e. “mom” for the male character). I think I’ve figured out how to fix it, but haven’t implemented it yet.

This version still contains the awkward, unfinished version of Julius’s rival heart event. I apologize for this.

Thank you so much for your kindness, but I don’t feel like doing that. Call me an idiot but I’ve never used a cheat, never downloaded and installed fanmade/community content, never played a fanmade level, never used the TRLE. As far as I can tell, the only I’ve done is to install TRAOD multipatcher by Nakamichi so it improved the game experience for the stream I did.

But that’s as far as I’m willing to go, I don’t really trust this kind of sources - no offense, Stella - and I’m very purist in this kind of things. No cheats, no external stuff. All I’ve done in Tomb Raider, I’ve done it myself. And I’ve beat all the classics, and LAU trilogy, and the first reboot without ever using any trick.

I guess I will be watching some gameplay in YouTube if eventually I get too much curious about this level. But for me, it’s a nope. Specially when it comes to cheating.
