what some people see as 'fluff' can be important!! simple things like a character acknowledging an everyday item in their environment that seems 'pointless' can add a bit of depth to the scene! writing that only includes what is 'nessecary' gets...kind of droll after a while. for example in a recent thread i included this bit: "Finishing off the joint, it was snuffed out in the ashtray he'd made specifically to sit outside his door (it was really just a couple rims welded together along with the few bottom inches of an old metal bucket, but hey it worked even if it did look shitty as hell)"

was it nessecary for the scene? no, far from it, i could have just said the smoke had been snuffed out Period, but saying that kazuichi custom made an ashtray just for his garage out of random scrap is now an insight into his character; the care he has to not just leave cigarette butts outside of his garage, that he went out of his way to make a specific place to dispose of them, and that by using what some see as garbage effectively, it shows his ingenuity, skill and forethought into the simplest of things that dont really impact anything 'productive' to the thread.

it adds depth with just a simple little footnote which helps makes the scene and the character just a little more Real. its a step past what is 'needed' that can seperate your writing from others, and make it more fun to read!! it helps make your writing yours uwu

It has been much too long! Almost over a year by now! However, in this time I spent away from my rp blogs, I’ve finally managed to set a good bit of my life straight again. Things are looking up and I have an increased amount of free time in my hands now, if a bit tentative with organizing it all.

That said, I will be returning to this blog as of today!!!! I understand many of my former rp partners are no longer active, however I will not archive these blogs nor will I recreate them. A lot of what is in here is meaningful to me and I intend to keep it in place.

I will also be returning to both my sideblogs; @the-militant and @gontxkerusu. If you’d like to rp with either of those, please send me a message and I will set up a starter shortly!!!

WHAT  INSPIRED  YOU  TO  TAKE  ON  THIS  MUSE: i had just recently been released from the hospital after trying to kill myself, and wanted an outlet or an escape from life lmao.. i had always been so attached to leaf’s design, like how i felt she would be based on the way she looked or the vibes i got from frlg, so i took those things and went for it. at the time like... she was almost an ideal??? of what i wanted to be?? not anymore, of course, but she has turned into this own little person and has remained so important to me.

WHAT  ARE  YOUR  FAVORITE  ASPECTS  OF  YOUR  CURRENT  MUSE: her positivity? her dorkiness? she is a lot of things that i wish i was, and like... idk, she is just so friendly and positive and i LOVE that. edgy or angry charis are fun, but i just really think that positive characters are super important nowadays, because strength comes from a lot of different things and can be seen as so many things.

WHAT’S  YOUR  BIGGEST  INSPIRATION  WHEN  IT  COMES  TO  WRITING:  tolkien, sapkowski, a LOT of gothic horror. dracula is my favorite book even to this day. i also do a LOT of dungeons and dragons and that kind of thing, so making characters and world building and that kind of thing is something i just do for fun a lot.

FAVORITE  TYPES  OF  THREADS:  all of them. it depends on my mood always, but i like threads that heal both characters, or offer some sort of growth opportunity. like!! threads just to be cute or goofy are fun, but if there are things that put people at odds i LOVE IT. ALSO ANGST???? ANGST IS SO GOOD...............

BIGGEST  STRUGGLE  IN  REGARDS  TO  YOUR  CURRENT  MUSE:  leaf has stopped dreaming to be honest. she has kind of resigned herself to deciding that she just has to... do what she has to do?? like, i want her to find excitement and self worth and just BE HAPPY. she keeps people at a distance if they aren’t red or green, so!!!!!! Any, all.... just yes.... I like a mix of generes to be quite honest, so just tell me what you want or I'll just go by whatever vibes haha. My only thing is not having every singal thread be constant angst. I know a lot of rpers enjoy that, but for me it just.... falls flat after awhile.

— plots versus memes

Both, but I have little footnotes lol. I'm super picky with starter memes, a lot of them don't sound like actual dialog that any character would ever say. So if I can't see them being useful I'm not going to post them (same thing with sending them in.) With plots it's a similar story. I'm not going to like a plotting call or come up to you to plot if I don't have an idea. I've been here long enough to know that leads to both of us running around in circles....
