                               CELESTINO CIELOS (MORPHEUS)

[ sean teale, cismale, he/him, unknown ] Whenever I hear RUTHLESS by THE MARIAS it always makes me think of CELESTINO CIELOS. They have been so GENEROUS & ENERGETIC, but occasionally they have gotten a little bit STUBBORN & IDEALISTIC during their TWO YEARS in Evergreen Parrish. They currently work as a LATE NIGHT RADIO HOST, a strangely fitting job for a DAIMON (MORPHEUS, CONTROLLER OF DREAMS). A DOM, they never tried to hide that they were HOMOSEXUAL. HANDS REACHING UP TO THE SKIES, TEARS FALLING AT ANOTHER’S ANGUISH, WAKING UP WITH THE SUN, HOPE-FILLED EYES are pretty much their calling card, and that fits perfectly with their role as a RESIDENT in the parrish.

tino isn’t sure when exactly he was born, but stories say he was created to give mortals hope to fight towards. as a young boy he would grant humans pleasant visions while they slept, giving them a rested feeling when they woke and enough happiness to last the day. eventually he learned how to do it while they were awake as well, but would only use this when they were very unhappy with their surroundings but were still relatively safe to daydream. 

not long after he was born, as in minutes, his brother caelum (epiales) was born. while they share the same powers, his brother’s seemed to do the very opposite and created nightmares. they thought something was wrong at first, but they eventually learned that it was a good tool to use on mortals who were feeling guilty or needed to be punished. 

celestino likes believing that things are relatively always good in the mortal world and falls apart when he’s reminded that this isn’t the case. he purposefully forgets all the bad that has happened and focuses on what good can come. it’s the nature of his powers and of himself as an individual.

sometimes while he is giving someone a dream he will remember the bad stuff and will no longer be able to continue the dream, so his brother takes over to let him rest. this is what happens when a dream becomes a nightmare. 

he and his brother hardly interacted with mortals on a personal basis and so, tino has very little knowledge of how the mortal world actually works. he’s learning little by little and was actually glad when his brother asked if they could stop in the parish to rest. 

powers

oneirokinesis: ability to control, interact with, and walk through dreams (in any form he chooses)

hypnokinesis: ability to control sleep patterns (deep sleep induction and disturbance)

astral projection: the ability to separate one’s spirit from one’s body

umbrakinesis: the ability to manipulate the dark

the unique ability to put his own brother to sleep and stop all nightmares across the universe for the time being (once a week if chosen to do so)
