Impression no. 1,2,3,
The title ends with a comma, intending the numerous impressions beyond 1, 2 or 3. Impressions are constantly and subconsciously made everyday in our lives.
My work explores the mutiplcity of representations that can be gleaned from landscapes through the use of colour and patterns. These art elements embody connections and personal interactions towards landscapes. Paint ‘impressions’ hence symbolise my implementation to and within these environments. Various colours and shapes denote certain feelings and emotions that are subjective and may vary for individuals. My work is open for interpretation, stimulising new ways of viewing our mundane scenery through a new “lens”.
