Miami Valley Hunt & Polo Club, Dayton, Ohio - We had a roaring good time this New Year's Eve at this historic polo club, nestled in the hills of Miami Township. The club will be celebrating its centennial anniversary this year so we had to see what it is all about! Its origins go back a hundred years to the original founding families, names that most Daytonians would recognize. The Lowe, Mead, Patterson and Talbott families used this place as a retreat from the busy streets downtown. When first established, the club ranged for over a hundred acres. Polo matches were once held here, with teams from all over the world invited to entertain the members. The saltwater swimming pool is still fed today by the natural spring on the property.
