I am never forgiving Vessel for closing Sundowning with the song Blood Sport and opening This Place Will Become Your Tomb with Atlantic. Sir how could you do that to your fans? This is just too painful 😭😭

For a while now I’ve been mulling over Durja’s place in my story because I’m attached to her. She started as my ds3 character and was part of an old storyline. She kind of randomly pops in with Sylvaine’s vignettes every now and then but I didn’t know what she was or what to do with her.

But here she is with a new look and new back story and and I’m excited to reintroduce her BUT a lot of her story I’m realizing involves stuff I haven’t talked about on here yet, oops (still need to make that lil website with all the lore stuff ( ಠ◡ಠ )). Anyway, a little more about her below:

She calls herself an ‘Ashen Fury’. She, like Kraw’s father, is from Zenith; the last remaining landmass considered big enough to be a continent. Her Rook was called Mistfall but she doesn’t like to talk much about Zenith, since she believes she’ll never see it again. She leans more towards being bird adjacent rather than dragon, her wings were feathery as well.

Sylvaine had helped Durja after taking control of the Asheweaver estate (a hospital/research facility/mansion essentially). The previous ‘doctor’ and owner of the estate (to be introduced) had left her mutilated and she’d nearly gone into septic shock before Sylvaine was able to preform surgery and safely remove what was left of her wings.

Skip ahead to where Durja now helps Sylvaine out as an orderly/nursing assistant of sorts, as well as becoming her partner (er, one of them, since Sylvaine is poly. Can ya guess who her ‘plaything’ is?). But they have a special relationship over all, might as well be married idk.

YAY YOU'RE STILL UPDATING YAY!

I have no intention of stopping, in other words, even if the update schedule has been pushed to a two-week period for right this minute! To put a long story short, I've got some health issues that make it hard to stay at my desk & consistently work on stuff, & I don't quite have the means to fix those issues right this minute. So I'm pushin' through with what I've got, without putting myself into burnout! That's why it's taking a little bit, but everyone has been incredibly patient, & I'm always grateful for all the feedback I get in the meantime.

So I didn't draw it today BUT I really need to focus on commissions so I'm counting that as my art of the day despite probably not finishing one day TO post. So you get this instead.

Deacon as stated before is basically paid to be intimidating but he truly can't help but light up for the lightning deity because "that's the friend of my boss!" so he properly greets her with a "Lady Fulj" as a formality and respect. While he does respect the deity he's sworn to, he just calls him boss. That's what he gets.

He doesn't have any magical powers but he's got a strong sense of energy regardless. He can pinpoint when Fulj arrives. He can sense in the room he guards to make sure Ymber is still there (though he doesn't teleport and that's the only exit. But when Fulj visits and he's still outside he senses both deities and it puts him at ease.

What impresses Ymber immensely is the split fire deities - he can personally sense that one is around but he doesn't know which. He simply recognizes their energy as "fire deity, be on high alert". Then one day as he's getting tense over it (the fire deities like to tease him), Deacon reassures him "hey it's the guy today! I noticed he is less brutal in his comments it will be fine C:" and Ymber is stunned that he can identify which one is there before seeing them.

Deacon can also sense spirits and in Ymber's temple can actually see and hear them. But he doesn't tell them or interact, he lets them be in peace. Until he laughs at something one says and the spirits realize he's heard them for the past multiple years which is ... embarrassing. In addition to that, he can usually sense a monster out of town. On his rare walks with Ymber he's able to guide them around the monsters easily so neither one has to fight (though he gladly would fight em and he knows Ymber could one shot any of them).

He wants to be well trusted by Ymber and figures it won't happen, Ymber is simply too closed off and reserved. That's fair. Deacon assumes it's his mortality at play and why entrust him with his past experiences when he's just going to die sooner than Ymber would bother with. Which then shocks him when Fulj gets upset about "he didn't even ask for consent" and gets angry at Ymber for not telling Deacon. So she guilts Ymber to tell Deacon "um, I apologize for not asking you but I have extended your life. By a few centuries. I'm sorry" expecting Deacon to get upset at having to leave behind any loved ones as he doesn't age or die anytime soon. But! Deacon as a dedicated follower aiming to only please his boss is delighted by the trust shown by wanting to keep him around longer and proceeds to take his job as guardian/bodyguard even more seriously (which is hard to do with how serious he was before).

Anyway I won't go into the details now since this is already an essay but I've been shoving suffering onto Ymber and Fulj and why they are both like they are - withdrawn (Ymber) and enamored by humans (Fulj). But not for happy reasons.

a slight Penny redesign because while I like her vol 8 look the early volumes Penny will always have a special place in my heart.

I added the two tones in her dress and the wide sleeves from her v8 look but mainly keep everything the same since there is little need to fix perfection XP. Though I did lean a bit into a more vocaloid-ish look with the circles and green stripes, I also added her v8 robot legs since I personally prefer robot characters that visually look robotic, or at least off/inhuman.

I also got rid of the ahoge since I just couldn't make it work after I added the big Roxy Lalonde swirl in her hair since there would be too much going on :((.

She kinda reminds me utatane piko. Thb

Howdy, I'm still alive. Not many drawings lately, but a lot of ling fun time. I just wanted to share my crafts hehe

My niece had fun playing with the ling plushies, I taught her about the goolings, and she drew Wiwi a couple times. I made her a Wiwi plushie and I'm gonna make a Lewling and a Hoardling too since she really wants her own. Makes me happy. That's what they're made for to make folks happy.

But sewing is so tedious 😵‍💫

Now that I have talked about my new beloved Spirit Hunter series.

I looked at something for my newest OC for Spirit Hunter (because we know ya girl can't go a day without making art for OCs or make a new one lol. I basically breath that stuff) and I was not prepared for what I read. I still can't believe what I saw with my very own eyes...
