Ok, so, I'm wandering around Act 3 and I finally find Dammon again in the Lower City--this is my tactician run, so I do a lot of aimless wandering to avoid my problems. I love Dammon and I decided to break into step inside his lovely home to see how he's living. I went upstairs, saw a book and was like, "Oh, maybe it's a diary! I'd love to get to know Dammon and his backstory better!" I walk close enough to see the title and--
D-Dammon?
Dammon?
Man's genuinely out here with one of his only personal belongings being a play so lewd it's been banned, I love him so much.

Finding old oc designs in sketchbooks and revamping them, I love doing that
Gentlemen thieves/ top hat classy thieves are characters that I love really much so of course I created one myself !
I don't have a precise background for him yet, something along the lines of "retrieving lost family heirlooms and seeking revenge"
His family mysteriously disappeared in a fire when he was a child, and he got adopted by an older noblewoman under a new identity.
Now working as a police officer alongside his shenanigans, he tries to find by who and why did his family perish in that fire at their home many years ago.
He commits heists under the name of "Le Lièvre" (The Hare)
Has a pet bunny he calls his little "Arsène Lapin"

Random but I was rambling about my oc earlier and wanted to get these thoughts outta my head.
I play a lot of ttrpgs. Like a lot. I tend to make my player character(s) a femme4butch lesbian bc part of me didn't fully see what femmes might see in a butch like me bc on some level, I used to think I was unworthy of love and the women I like wouldn't like me.
I also started doing it bc we had a toxic player (lowkey homo+transphobic but also implied to be an egg... long story that I don't wanna get into tbh) and I KNEW he'd be an ass if I made a character too loudly and obviously a lesbian and ofc he wouldn't be able to See a femme like I could.
But I wanted to be loud and obvious so I set my nose to the grindstone on femme presentation and feelings and attraction. I've been reading so much stuff on here from so many amazing femmes- stuff they've written and resources written by others that they've shared. Just when I thought I couldn't love femmes more. You prove me wrong.
I feel like being here and reading your thoughts and experiences and rp'ing f4b characters has given me a deeper and more profound understanding of femmes and I understand myself more too. I get it now, yanno? I don't see myself as gross or weird or unlovable anymore. I fun and sexy and cool!! We all are! Femmes n butches have such cool and unique presentation and experiences to gender and I feel like we can Always See each other. Like I know a Femme, capital F kinda Femme from a feminine person. Yanno? I don't really have a point to this post, I just love and appreciate femmes. You're genuine pillars in this community and I'd do anything for you.
Thanks for showing me how to love both me and you :3

since you've been playing elden ring, do you have a favorite npc so far?
Haha, my pace at discovering more of Elden Ring is SNAIL slow. And I don't mean moderately fast snail-like mobs in ER, I mean real life snails. xD So, my knowledge is still lacking. But with what I DO know, I think I can pick a favourite already!
This might come off as a surprise, but this...
...is...
...SELLEN!
Honestly, so far I liked her the most! She gives me very strong Imposter Iosefka vibe (in the scenario if after having made enough Emissaries, the Imposter also joined with them to be several small ascended people hiding in a trench coat pretending to be one BIG ascended person…). Whereas she is still, of course, a unique and interesting character on her own! It is just this kind of a female character after knowledge beyond human plane that reminds me.
I am particularly fond of the madman/woman/person characters who want to know the eldrich truths of the universe, no matter how horrifying they are and no matter what taboos they have to break, and what they have to give in exchange. I also can respect the type of 'scientist that is not above trying their own medicine' because, again, she becomes The Orb herself xd Her sassy and blunt attitude is also very appealing for me, she is a confident character with a very certain motivation! I do also enjoy how no matter what scroll she is given, her reaction is that she is familiar with this sorcery, so she is already very educated!
I've posted my analysis how in Bloodborne, Willem and 'original' Choir (from which only Yurie remains) prioritise ascending humanity and leveling with the gods as people, whereas the Choir as it is later tries to TRANSCEND humanity, and will break any taboos, just like Mensis too. In there, I actually sympathise with Willem's side and see Choir as reckless and desperate fools. But in Elden Ring, for some reason, I actually sympathise with the ideas of Sellen (and her teachers, Azur and Lusat) more instead, whereas seeing how Caria family goes about the glintstone teachings as kinda weak. Not REAL researchers. It is very funny and I can't even explain why I am so inconsistent all of a sudden; doesn't help that Rennala herself gives strong Willem and Yurie vibe! Truly, the magic of narration can make EITHER side feel more sympathetic than the other o_o"
Also, I've learned that initially her Witch's Glintsone Crown was named Grana Glintstone Crown, but it was patched out!
I feel like developers initially did want to make Sellen as important as someone who had her own school and the crown made in her likeness was a common wear too, but it never picked up because… well, her line of studies contradicted with Caria's family agenda and restrictions too much? It is one thing to just explore rocks from space, but completely different one to try and BECOME one! But I decided to go with 'they retconned the idea' rather than with 'they obscured the idea'. I mean, how exactly people would follow this "school"? They'd just become rocks lol. It is not really studying the object when you become the object.
I also honest to god cannot recall this particular shade of green glintstone anywhere else - not in an environment, nowhere on Graven Scholars, and there are no spells or staff associated with this color. So I feel like it is artificial and created BY her; would go with theme of her experimenting with turning people into seeds of a star. Heck, maybe this glintstone also had an… organic origin, too. So it cannot be turned into a weapon (unlike staffs of Azur and Lusat that ARE made from existing cosmic material), but only serve as cathalyst for intellect and sorcery of THE caster.
Also I just gotta say, I really appreciate how in these spheres everyone is always having the both horrified and awe-full expression, but she looks really blissful and calm x) She actually gave a realistic, adequate estimate towards how much she wanted to become one with the cosmos xD Lore says that even Azur and Lusat were devastated when they witnessed it, so she is arguably MORE of a madwoman than those two. Love this about her so much.
Honorable mention: so far, Nepheli is my second favorite. Her design definitely beats everyone else's amongst NPCs yet, but also she is just really appealing character. Badass warrior with two axes with great honor and will to go on no matter what, who is also very sensitive and compassionate at heart, is in touch with her vulnerable side, grieving the fallen, strong but not invincible… It is a very good example of how TO write a strong and badass female character; the power is not to be a solid brick that never cries but to be able to connect with one's insecurities and still get back up. Her being heartbroken when her father figure turned on her was very moving, for some reason this way she feels stronger than if she just got up and kicked Gideon's ass and hated him forevermore after that. I just live for this balance of both big muscles but ALSO a big heart.

@holyguardian:
"Comiiiiing~!" Aerith sing-songed from the second floor of her home. Her footsteps might even be heard as she hurried in a thunderous bare-foot run for the door, taking leaps and bounds that landed her full body weight upon the old wooden staircase.
The persistent knock made her curious. So much so, she completely forgot her mother's warnings about checking who was at the door before opening it up. She ripped open the door, undecided if she were about to give a piece of her mind for all the noise, but a dumbfounded silence became her initial reaction.
"Uh— hey!" Aerith protested when Jae simply walked into her home like he had the right to. She hadn't even said a hello, let alone invite anyone inside!
The presence of two others tempered her reaction. She didn't know them at all, only they looked younger than her, and call her a bleeding heart but she would have invited them inside anyway if she had been given the chance. She was an awkward mix between "oh, please, take a seat and I'll bring you something to eat" towards her younger guests and a more huffy "what are you doing??" hissed quietly at Jae.
He must have known her mother would be out for a business meeting for Gainsborough construction, right? He wouldn't have waltzed in like that if he knew her mother was home, RIGHT?
"That won't be necessary," Jae responds dismissively, looking around and craning his head towards the stairs.
"Your bedroom is upstairs, yes? Well, come on- Shake a leg!"
He clicks his tongue as though siccing a pair of dogs upon the flowergirl, the twins springing into action- the boy pulling at Aerith's hand and arm, while the girl pushes the bewildered young woman from behind, all chattering in a language that sounded similar to that of common Wutai, but with a more nasal and thick dialect.
Yoon follows, blithely taking a seat upon the edge of Aerith's bed and crossing a long leg over the other with a whisper of red silk suiting.
"Faai di lah!" he urges, looking nonplussed as Gainsborough's jacket is shucked and thrown onto the bed beside him. The girl twin starts pulling at the hem of Aerith's trademark pink eyelet dress so she can further disrobe, chattering with her brother in what seems to be an impressed fashion.
"That's Fei and Lan, by the way- Fei's the boy and Lan's the girl," the crime lord offers, helpfully.
"Lan says you have an excellent bosom, very high praise! I think she's going to have fun with this."

“Regalli, do you really think Game Freak intended for the Link Cable thing in Delta Episode to imply every Pokemon cartridge is its own unique pocket universe, and that every generation exists in its own continuity where their Pokemon and mechanics now retroactively Have Always Existed?”
To the second, absolutely. You don’t have a plan to move a meteor to another universe get shot down when another character asks “but what if we moved the meteor to a universe without Mega Evolution? Wouldn’t they be screwed?” WITHOUT intending to imply exactly that. To the first…
Listen, I don’t care if they INTENDED for the ‘every cartridge is its own universal iteration’ thing, it makes SENSE, okay? Like. Think about version differences. Starting in Gen III they impacted the route the story took. Why is that? Which is canon? Pokemon multiverse, all of them are. Some universes have Maxie screw up, some universes have Archie, some universes they BOTH cause mayhem and Rayquaza needs to get the fuck down there and tell everyone to knock it the hell off. Why is the Ultra Beasts plotline replaced with Rainbow Rocket from SuMo to USUM? Pokemon multiverse, Anabel and Looker only show up in SuMo variations and Giovanni only gets the Rainbow Rocket idea in USUM ones.
Why do version exclusives exist? Pokemon multiverse, they only live in this region in certain universe iterations.
Why can Leaf never challenge you at the top of Mount Silver in HGSS and you never get the choice? Pokemon multiverse, all HGSS cartridges come from a universe where Red exists, and for that matter they are separate from universes where you the player character did because of his specific team. Hell, that’s the case for any game where Red and Blue make battleable appearances, isn’t it.
Come to that the only individual cartridges that actually directly connect in continuity to each other, the only Pokemon games built on an assumption that not only did the EVENTS of the previous game take place but that they occurred under the guidance of a Player Character, specifically YOUR Plaher Character, are Black 2/White 2 and then only if you link your own save file. Every other Pokemon PC does not explicitly exist in every other game so they may just have generic versions of their character like Red and Blue and Green from Let’s Go or the Hilda/Hilbert Battle Subway NPC. But what about trading and cross-game transfer, you ask?
You guessed it! POKEMON MULTIVERSE. Canonically thanks to naming the plot device in Delta Episode a Link Cable, you can make a case that every instance of trading Pokemon back to the start of the series was multidimensional travel. (And, in Gen II-Gen I, canonically also time travel.) Union Rooms and the like actually connect distinct universes together. Hisuian Pokemon can show up in ScarVio without any explanation because they’ve been dimensionally transferred and anyway, in this universe they may never have actually gone extinct. Hell, we don’t technically know they actually WENT extinct, they just didn’t exist in the DPPt and BDSP universes. Maybe in the PLA universe they’re known as Sinnohan Goomy or whatever. Or maybe in the PLA universe it’s still known as Hisui. We don’t know. That whole “previous life” thing in ScarVio with the phone cases has the woman never having heard of Hisui (despite a photo of Laventon being visible on the board for history class).
It’s Pokemon Multiverse all the way down, folks. I don’t care what Gamefreak intended in this case, the end result actually holds up enough on reading I just accept this as canon.
