I wanna put myself out there and share what I've been working with in the past month!
I decided to write something so extremely niche, A Johnshi/Kencage Taylor Swift lyric fic about my retelling of the canon events of MK1 set in an Omegaverse AU! (Has a smut chapter, Chapter 5, so this fic is NSFW)
I'm hoping for the Swifties out there who also undertsand my extremely niche project to suggest songs that I can use for future chapters! Here's the used songs so far:
Look What You Made Me Do
long story short
Innocent
Gorgeous
Wildest Dreams
I Can See You
Treacherous
I Think He Knows
august (WIP as I type this)
Anyway, I just wanted to share my work! I really hope that you enjoy it! I'd love to hear what you think about it!

Can we have a fic where Unsympathetic Patton slowly starves Deceit? He does it so sneakily that the others don't know he's starving until he collapses to the ground, and they have to pick him up? (I'm sorry. Do you perhaps have a list of your triggers? I don't want to upset you.
(It’s okay, a lot of my triggers are like...visual, or...smell/texture/sound based...like, more prominent irl than online, it’s mostly mentions of drowning, knives (I can write but would rather it only be implied in asks) or choking/near murder experiences that will freak me out online. And, of course, abusive Deceit which gets tagged once in a blue moon. Oh, and also pet names, but that’s a fairly recent development...I should write this out fully as a list, sorry-)
Deceit pulls a face at the food, pushing it away.
“Too salty,” he says honestly, wiping his tongue on a napkin, and the others just nod.
“Want anything else?” Patton asks.
“...I’ll make sandwiches, I think.”
“Alright!”
His food gets messed with a lot. He’s certain it’s Virgil, but he can’t prove it. Burnt or too salty or sugar in a savory dish. It’s annoying, and he ends up living on leftovers or sandwiches. Sure, he could try cook himself, but Patton was touchy about the kitchen, and nobody dared do any actual cooking there without him.
Then one day he comes down to discover he missed dinner.
“Sorry, kiddo!” Patton smiles sheepishly, “I knocked, but you never responded...”
“Must you try to lie?” Deceit asks, frowning, “please, it doesn’t suit you.”
“Why would he lie?” Virgil asks, “you never hear me knock.”
“Correction, Virgil,” he replies dryly, “I choose to ignore your knocks.”
“If you’re telling the truth, you’re a dick.”
“I’m sorry, Dee,” Patton looks genuinely guilty, “I’ll try harder next time.”
“See? Now he feels bad.”
Deceit then starts to notice that he’s being slowly excluded from meal times, and Patton appears to be the one causing it, in one way or another. And he notices that he’s started to lose weight from it.
So one night he decides to just cook, because snacks and sandwiches and excuses aren’t enough. Logan has come to him several times with books on anorexia, and Remus has been dropping more than enough “hints” as to thinking Dee has an eating disorder.
It was nice that they cared, but equally, nobody seemed to believe him that Patton was causing this. In fact, Virgil had looked straight up offended by the idea.
So Deceit just stepped back.
He’s half way through cooking some pasta when he hears light footsteps, and turns to see Patton in the doorway.
“...It’s for Virgil,” he lies, “he was-”
“Virgil’s in my room,” Patton smiles sweetly, sickly sweet, “don’t lie to me, Dee. And don’t cook in our kitchen.”
“I need to eat,” Deceit snaps, hunger making him irritable, “you can’t stop me.”
Patton hums, then smiles.
“Turn the stove off, Dee.”
“No.”
“Last chance~”
“Go away, Pat-”
Patton suddenly slams his hand down on the saucepan handle, hard enough for the boiling water and pasta to flip over himself, burning the skin on his bare arms as he screams.
Deceit stares in horror, backing away quickly as Patton screams and sobs. The others come running down, take one look at the situation and run to Patton.
“He-He...He threw the pan over me!” sobs Patton, “I was just t-trying to help!”
“What?” Deceit blinks, seeing them turn to him angrily, “...why would I do that?”
He’s not given a chance to explain, the others forcing him out back to his room.
He doesn’t dare come out for two days.
He only comes out because Thomas summons him, and everyone is glaring at him.
“Ah. Hello, Thomas. How pleasant of you to call me,” he says, rolling his eyes, “however can I be of service today?”
“I...Deceit, are you okay? You look...thin...”
“I’m fine,” Deceit lies, “just answer my question.”
“Don’t be rude to Thomas, snake face,” Roman snaps, and Deceit rolls his eyes, a little disappointed in Roman for not seeing through Patton’s manipulation.
“Shut up,” is all he can bring himself to say.
“...well, I wanted to know...”
Deceit hears ringing in his ears.
“...talk...Joan...Monday...”
His vision blurs.
“...today...Deceit...okay...”
His vision goes black as he falls.
The others jump, Logan and Roman suddenly realising how starved Deceit must be, even if not understanding why, and rush over, followed shortly by Thomas.
Virgil catches Deceit just before he hits the floor, holding him tightly for a moment then resting him gently on the ground.
“Oh my gosh!! Is he okay?” Patton asks, running over and hiding his smile with concern.
“He’s passed out badly,” Roman murmurs.
“Why?” Thomas asks, “what’s wrong??”
“I believe he may be anorexic,” Logan explains simply.
“Oh no...” Patton sniffs, “...we gotta help him out, then?”
“Yes,” Logan nods, “it could also explain his erratic behaviour as of late...”
Patton stops listening, already planning what to do next to their snake faced friend.
