A fic about the struggles Bokuto has with his borderline personality disorder and how he manages his life on the volleyball team. Again, norio has beautiful writing and as someone with a mental illness, the fic does a great job at portraying it.

I love this series so much! I actually read Physical Conditioning first, and then fell in love with the way the author portrayed both Bokuto and Akaashi. Set in California, the series follows teenage Akaashi and Bokuto as they “practice” dating. Chaos ensues, of course. I also loved how Kuroo is Akaashi’s sibling in the series because it adds an interesting perspective. Also, SURFER BOKUTO!

Okay, I obviously love these authors because I’m recommending multiple works by each. What can I say? These authors are so talented! This work I found very unique because it is set in Meiji era in Japan. Based on the fairy tale “The Six Swans”, Bokuto becomes voluntarily mute and has to complete a quest for his family, and he meets deaf Akaashi. The fic is very Bokuto-centric and is a beautiful coming of age story. Definitely a unique work!

This fic made me a matsuhana stan. This beautiful fic set in high school with the Seijoh crew follows the budding of the relationship between Hanamaki and Matsukawa, and how Hanamaki got his pink hair. It made me believe in love.

Mind the tags, but the story does have a happy end and worth the read. Semi deals with some mental health issues in college, but meets the weird and quirky Tendou who changes his perspective. This fic really hit close to home for me and it made me love the dynamic between Tendou and Semi.

Once again, DeathBelle writes a beautiful piece of writing about Tendou and Semi in an Exotic Dancer AU. The entire series, titled Plumage, follows the Shiratorizawa players as they dance in a club called Plumage. I enjoyed the characterization of all of the characters, and the plot is so interesting and heart-wrenching. DeathBelle is very talented, so I recommend checking out all of their works.
