my favorite thing about making self insert ocs is that 90% of the time i dont even want them to interact with canon characters. i just want them to be chillin in the world somewhere
#there IS in fact a 10% of me that goes “now kiss” or MORE likely “youre best friends now” but that is reserved for me only.#i dont know what brought this up exactly. notjing in particular#i just think i probably go about things like this differently than a lot of people and its like#yes i have a riptide oc! no i dont eant them to interact with the plot at all!#they are just sailing on a boat with their best friend and maybe the two od them are cannibals sometimes. like silly background characters.#jonesy and i once made a joke about them being the wet bandits from home alone with ollie as kevin#and i think thats the closest to interacting with canon i need . theyre just There.#idk !!! i just think self insert characters are fun and people should make them more :]#its one of my favorite ways of interacting w a piece of media i enjoy#my trigun oc is like. yeah he was raised by the eye of michael and everything but now he just fucks off in the desert#and rides big birds and does stupid shit. and i love him so much. vash the stampede who. never hesrd of him
