I love your question! Kakashi treats women differently! Let me break it down! When its a female opponent ..he treats her no different than the male opponent ..and can kill them without an eye blink. But with a certain respect ..that is ..he never underestimates an Opponent ..wether if it is male or female.He treats Anko in a different manner ..than ...for instance ...a Sakura! He doesnt like Anko that much ...and pays no particular attention to her. No ..he is not always that soft to every woman. If he doesnt like a woman ..he pays no attention to her ..thats that! If he is occupied with such a woman ,....as we can see when it comes to Anko ..he can react ...sarcastic and teasingly. i feel ...that he often times builds up a wall between women ...and himself. Dont know why that is. Maybe he wants to ..protect himself ....from a relationship. But ..(.you have to pay close attention to it )...but when it comes to Sakura ...he treats her in a different way. She is a witness to his statement at the Chunin selection exams. So she ...might as well project her romantic feelings unto Kakashi. Of course she hides it! We can see the shift ...and the change of feelings towards Sasuke in Sakura. When its first ..almost an unhealthy gush over Sasuke ...this ...declines over time. She still likes Sasuke. When Kakashi says in the end of the war to a Sasuke that Sakura does not want to win his heart over but at least wants to rescue and protect him ...Kakashi speaks the truth about Sakura. He ...of all others ..understands her so well. There is no doubt ..that Sakura still has liked Sasuke back then ...but more over ..her goal was ..to protect him from being lost again.. and of course ..she wanted him to be near her. Kakashi has a soft spot for Sakura ,here is no doubt in my mind. But he knew ..he stood no chance against a Sasuke. That is why he stood up for Sakura once again. Maybe Kakashi was all fed up ..with Sakura and her being all over a Sasuke. I will continue...

Where did your Sidestep get your name?

Their name was found in some book authors while they were hiding in a local library at one point, after their first escape. They were greeted by someone asking what's their name. And in their panic, looks around- spot a random book and saw "ANITA" in full text and picked that on spot.

Do they know what it means?

In the same library, because of what they came across- it's assumed they probably asked about baby name books. The librarian was confused and Anita doesn't have time for that so they used telepathy to make them to please lead me to that book.

Anita means "Grace", and it feel fitting them, more or less.

(creator's note: i. picked that name because anita's old name was Grace when I first played rebirth demo back in the day lmao)

Do they feel any particular way about their name?

At first, they treat it as a way to introduce themself whenever someone attempts to interact with them. But after meeting Themmy and Julia, the way they call their name in a particular way that makes Anita actually likes their own name- It did lead to having a nickname, "Neets", coined by Themmy!

absolutely. i stand strong in believing the version of jay they've given us this season isn't the jay halstead we know and love. unfortunately, he's the result of bad writing, and there's nothing we can do about it. but it doesn't change the fact that upstead are the loves of each other's lives no matter what way they swing it. they'd have a lot to work through, but they could do it with the love they have for one another. after everything they've already been through, i think they deserve it. i can only hope that by the time it's over (whether when the show is actually ending or if tracy decides to bow out early) they get the chance to.

Hello! First of all I want to say I love your blog! It is always nice to find someone to share opinions. I want to comment last anon ask and your answer. I agree with you 100%! But, many of my friends who claim to be very objective in their characters analysis of Naruto, and actually use the word “ship” in a negative perspective, always point me out that canonically Kakashi would never love Sakura romantically. They say that my interpretation is too occ and I’m transforming Kakashi to someone else, someone I like but it is not the one portrayed in the manga. I fell very sad when they say this because actually I really feel that their love potentially would really possible and not just for my headcanons but because I really saw some situation in the manga that makes me think so. I ship them basing on some hint I really got reading the panels, is not like put together people who never met each other. The only one I’m changing is Sakura because in my mind at a certain point she would see Sasuke as a dear friend and no more as a crush, and yes this is occ. What do you think about it? Thank you.

thanks so much for asking me! First of ...Naruto series is not an adult series ...rather one for kids young adults and Teens. So of course we do not see overly romantic or sexual scenes. God forbid! But....and there is a big but....! Kakashi would love Sakura romantically and here is why: Whenever I rewatch Naruto ..and I do it over and over again ..I am stunned again and again ..at how gentle and kind Kakashi is to Sakura. I kind of realized this ...when I began to write a FF for Reader and Kakashi ..where all scenes of Naruto classic beginning are contained in that FF..and there I realized the many occasions ..Kakashi seemed to be drawn to Sakura. And its an ongoing thing ...it does not ...end with Naruto . ..no no! I was literally stunned ...at how much ..Kakashi seeks the attention from her ...first I ...I grew jealous ..out of it! it was ..as if almost ..the reader stands in competition with Sakura ..when it comes to Kakashi. And its fact and canon. I could not believe it at first! In order to write the story as accurate as possible I had to rewatch. That is the beginning ..why I now am highly vocal about Kakasaku. Now ..if you watch it because of the fights and what not ..and are focusing on such things ..or the Jutsus and Chakras ..the arcs ..and the character growth ...you do not realize it. You have to watch it very closely ..and then ..you can see it what I mean. Or write a FF from the persepective of the reader who is part of the series...as in my case. Kakashi says of himself ..that he has many hobbies ..and the official characterization of him says ..that he has many hidden talents ...and that he is rather very domestic. This tells me ..that we dont see the whole personality of Kakashi in the series. When we see him ...being positively surprised of Sakuras strength in the seconed bell test ...and him thinking of the possibility that Sakura could be the better Kunoichi than a Tsunade ...I feel ...that is love and admiration! When we see him ..rescueing her ..over and over again ...not critizising her ....worried about her ...and in the end of fourth great Ninja war holding her ..standing by her side ..stroking her cheek ..touching her ...defending her against a Sasuke ...and it is all canon. He is sooo gentle to her. And to no other woman. That is the point. I feel Kakashi has hidden sides ...that is not shown in the series. We see hints of it. Him aproving of Asumas and Kureneis relationship , him loving to read Icha Icha ..who he himself describes it at one point ( Jiraya interviews Kakashi) as dramatic ..romantic and what not ..tells me ..that he indeed can be wonderfully romantic as well .I also feel ..that when it comes to love ...Kakashi has to have a deep connection to his love interest. He is not the man ..who is just struck down by physical attributes. The most important thing to him in a relationship ..I would say ..is trust and Teamwork. Everyone can be romantic in some way or another. It depends ..how you define romance. Romance can also be ..very simple natural things in our daily life. Next time ..you can go to your friends and let them read my answer to you here! SasuSaku for me ..is the irony pairing. Sakura in my opinion did not grow much...but ..with Kakashi on her side ...she would have! No doubt about it! Conclusion ...of course Kakashi would love Sakura romantically ..its all there ..and its canon! There are so many hints that point in that direction. I hope ..I could help you out ! 🥰

I had talked about Neets' gender time and time and time, and I can never shut up about their gender- and ofc the way I also perceive my own gender through them but this is anita so let's focus on them, ha!

To give a short answer; Anita identified themself as transmasc nonbinary, preferring they/them but doesn't mind all pronouns but they would be grateful if is they/them through! It's different with how I had been developing this guy for nearly six years... which leaves me....

...For a long answer!

When I first created Anita back in 2019- they were going to be simply afab nonbinary with no intentions to change who they are.

They used to wear binders but only often, and likes to wear hair short which they still do in the recent iteration...Er, mostly oc counterpart and happy end Au counterpart- but their current self is a mess and we knew that. But... That time was all there was about Anita back then. They're just. nonbinary. A person. That was it.

Around late 2020 or early 2021, I started to develop them in a original setting, which mind you, it's good to experiment different settings with your OC, 'cause you will never discover yourself or your oc's self discovery if you don't go that way- which. happened to me!

Let's just say, drawing Anita with top scars spark a tiny fire in the back of the mind and the way they look... so happy that way. So I had been drawing Anita with top scars since then, and that fire begun to glow brighter and brighter each year. But at the period, they were still identified as nonbinary, simple as that.

It wasn't until a couple years back that I finally accepted that they are truly transmasc too, when I tried the trans option in Retribution and... it changed so much about who Anita is from there on, as well as the friends I had made that made me discover genderfuckery which helps me to really see Anita differently than I first designed them.

It is truly a difference, a change, and one that I am so glad I did it- it fits them and it just makes me happy!

Now how does Anita go through this? Echoing your last question...

Anita had always hated being feminine, they do not like seeing themself as a cis woman. It just bad taste in their tongue if they refer themself as a woman. Especially with what they had went through in the Farm.

It was thanks to Sentinel and Themmy- especially Themmy, actually. They were the reason Anita begin to discover that they can be different than the one they were assigned as. It was a slow transition as Themmy had tried to be patient despite I like to think they wanted to tell Anita that they can do it. But didn't want to overwhelm Neets on it but over time, Neets did eventually started to find their own identity by themself.

But what truly makes them really happy was the moment they finally try going on T and. The moment, they noticed the changes- especially their voice- It had altered the chemistry in the brain as they realized... they can basically gave a big fuck you middle finger to the Farm for making them being feminine. And while they could've be a man, Anita just can't really picture themself as a man- they're. They're merely just Anita. a person who forged their own path with no one forced a label on them. So, Anita is.... Anita.

They had started to cut their hair, and wear more and more masculine outfits. It helps them feel grounded, more themself than they ever were at the Farm. And it had gave them that confidence.

Of course, we knew that by the time HB happened, they lost that confidence- they start letting their hair down in the most depressing way, and just the fact they were planning to have top scars prior to the incident but instead, they never did because at this point of the present day, they feel that they don't deserve it.

But really, no matter what, Anita will always be more comfortable as transmasc nonbinary than they ever were as a cis woman.

( Especially, you know that down in the future- in a Happy End AU, they do get to be the guy with the most confusing genderfuckery who still like women in a sapphic way. And no one can stop them. Because once again, they are happy being themself because they chose this for themself on their own terms. )

ADDED: Just remembered that I did jest that Mirlene had spend these moments when Anita was Aoyun everytime she call Aoyun with a feminine term and going "hold up, do she hated that term???" and thought Aoyun is a closet trans when in reality, its just Anita. I can't wait to see more interaction between her and Anita as themself- not As Aoyun who happened to be a cis woman (whose gender doesn't bother them bc its just. the same to them.)

How do you feel about Hailey in season 10?

lets be real. the whole season is pretty shit, if you ask me. to put it frankly. i don't think there's really a single character (with the exception of kev who felt like the only solid ground throughout the course of the year) who was on their a game or felt like themselves. there were times, actually most of it if i'm being honest, where i didn't really pay attention to anyone outside of hailey/tracy. it exhausted me to. but it's no secret that hailey is a shell of the character she used to be. this whole season put her back several paces. i realize losing her other half plays a part in that and there's some of it that makes sense, but i'm just left staring at the screen going 'are they really having her do this?' and most of the time it has something to do with voight. i could probably forgive mostly everything in this season when it comes to hailey as an individual character if they just kept her solid in her distrust and bitterness towards hank voight. how did she start off the season questioning this man, questioning her husband in following him, and then just turn around and do the same thing when it spiralled jay to a whole other continent? that will NEVER really make sense to me, although i do try to look at it from a perspective of she was a victim of abuse. hank, perhaps not physically, is still abuser in her life. that does things to a persons mind and hailey is exceptionally vulnerable on an emotional level throughout the entirety of this season for obvious reasons. idk, i have a whole rant wrote about hailey and voight specifically in regards to s10 but i don't want to drop it on this post. tl;dr - i'm mad. hailey didn't deserve to be treated this way. she is just as out of character for the most part as anyone else.

My guess is ...if his love interest is ....in some way special ...out of ordinary ...and captivates and convince him ...if she ..can provoke and can challenge him positively all-embracing ...yes ..I believe ...he will get over a Sakura. But ...on the other hand ...Sakura always will remain ..special to him ...because they experienced so much together. Because ...when it comes to her he finally is experiencing this ...interest into a woman for the first time. The saying goes ..that you never forget your first crush.
