Random thought: In The Girl Who Fell Out of the Sky, I remember it being mentioned near the beginning that Letitia + Jay Hellion and the Harringtons (inc. Alethea) went to Xanthia, and then Elder Equilla started that whole lockdown while they were there and I remember that the main cast got trapped and escaped (obviously), but not any indication that the rest made it out? Either I'm remembering wrong and it was stated somewhere that the others broke out too, or it's a pretty major loose thread for the end of the series (although it's already pretty open-ended with some other Xanthia stuff and Max still running loose so maybe that's the point?)

Yeah, I noticed that! It's odd that book 3 is stated to be the end of Piper's story when there's so much left unresolved. I imagine the Harringtons and Hellions, with all their diplomatic power, might have started instigating systemic change in Xanthia, because let's be real Equilla needs to be overthrown asap. I might write a fic set after the books addressing a bunch of the dropped plot threads bc there's so much the books never got to explore, and from what I understand we won't be getting a book 4.

also, is there any tgwcf ships you like/love/hate/dislike?

Haven't seen many ships other than those introduced/hinted at in canon, and otherwise I'm not huge on shipping child characters, but here's my two cents on the text:

Daisy and Myrtle - they are so cute!! when the big strong one is sunshiney and the small energetic one is emo <3 <3 <3

Smitty and Kimber - they are both insufferable people and more importantly they are insufferable TOGETHER. peace and love,

Piper and Conrad - I mean, I can see it. I actually think the two as a romantic pairing is written better in the fics than the books themselves. (And I love those fics) Still love their dynamic as just friends, so personally I prob won't depict them as a romantic couple

AnnA and Jimmy Joe - very shoehorned in there, part of Book 3's weird determination to put everyone in a het pairing, but I think they'd make good friends

Lily and Jasper - no, that is stupid.

which of the TGWCF cast is most likely to engage in Steven Universe discourse

So I imagine Daisy started watching it for fun (+ because she heard there were lesbians in it) then Myrtle joined, followed by Smitty and Lily (though they won't admit they like the show). Now when they see a take they hate online, Smitty and Lily dictate to Myrtle as she types up their arguments as fast as they can say them and through their sheer bitchiness and speed the trio causes several accounts to deactivate. Daisy has no idea about any of this

Do you have any headcanon voices, theme songs, ships, etc, for the TGWCF characters? Personally I headcanon Conrad sounding like Ben Shapiro

but yeah, I've always imagined the main crew as just my classmates from when I read the first book (in grade 4 I think??) so my imagination was always a bit limited in terms of appearances and voices

(also i highly doubt it but if any of my old classmates see my art I'm so sorry for using your faces)

As for ships, it's mostly just Daisy/Myrtle (do they have a ship name?). I was kind of disappointed when book 3 tried to pair off a bunch of m/f couples and then made a point of saying Daisy and Myrtle were going to the dance "as friends".
