41. The big city

Sure, a large city was far from the least disruptive place he could go, but it was also one of the most interesting. Right in the center of human activity.

As far as Shade was concerned, he had just as much of a right to be here as anyone else. It wasn't his fault his presence made the people around freak out and seek cover. It wasn't like he was doing anything or breaking any laws. (Unless you count accidental jaywalking caused by his feet being too wide to stay on the sidewalk.)

Really, all he was doing was looking around and basking in the attention he received just by existing.
