the rain has been pitter pattering upon the roof all day & the buckets were collecting water from the leaks. and one would think she'd had enough of it for one day. but instead of hunkering down and waiting it out inside her bedroom, she walks outside. always loved storms. would sit by the windows when she was just a child, watching the rain. listening for the thunder, watching the lightning and counting. none of that tonight, but there is the rain. walking out into the downpour & head tilted back, just letting it soak her. the temperature wasn't too bad, feel how it soak through her hair and clothes before feeling a familiar pricking at the back of her neck. like she has her own sense, when it came to theo. eyes flutter open and she look over to him. hint of a smile tug at the corner of lips while straighten up & she can only watch as he comes closer. feel the warmth of his hands against her cheeks and in this moment, it feels so very natural. leaning into him, pushing herself up to kiss him. hands go to cradle his neck : pulling herself closer as kiss deepen. just enjoying it for once, throwing caution to the wind.

𝐈𝐓 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐀𝐋𝐋 𝐀 𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐓𝐋𝐄 𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐖𝐇𝐄𝐋𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐆, 𝐈𝐅 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐀𝐒𝐊𝐄𝐃 𝐒𝐎𝐏𝐇𝐈𝐄. she was used to the bustle of busy households, that was no secret. working within households like these wasn’t unusual nor was the beginning of her life before the arrival of her stepmother—however, how so much attention placed on her, & feeling so badly equipped, made her anxious feelings worse. the last thing she wanted to do was embarrass the bridgerton’s, her husband, her new family. it was hard enough with the whispers of benedict having married someone below his station. as determined as she was . . sophie wouldn’t be able to stand it if she messed up royally ! ; so, she’s removed herself for the moment. politely excused herself for something to drink & a moment of fresh air, that the ballroom had grown suddenly “stuffy” for her. benedict had squeezed her hand gently before letting go, & now sophie finds herself closing her eyes & breathing deeply. the other speaks & she turns in surprise: ❛ oh, daphne ! ❜ exclaims sophie, ❛ you startled me, i apologize. i wasn’t expecting anyone to follow me out. ❜ eyes glance momentarily back inside before settling on daphne. ❛ it is . . i am overwhelmed in truth. having so many eyes on me, kind & unkind, has proven more difficult than i anticipated. ❜

breathing laboured, a little out of breath from the intense sparring session when he slipped up. guards down before kelly’s left hook connected with his jaw. now holding an ice pack against his jaw, a snort escaping the team leader as the officer keeps lecturing him about focus. not his fault she looks like that, too easy to get distracted.

a  breath  is  expelled  from  his  lips  as  he  watches  the  familiar  truck  approach  ,  adjusting  his  hat  as  the  window  rolls  down.  lips  don’t  have  a  chance  to  part  before  orders  are  given  to  him  ,  eyes  narrow  a  bit  even  seen  behind  the  shade  of  his  sunglasses​.  ❛  and  go  where?  ❜  a  pause  as  he  eyes  him  ,

much bolder than her, small declarations of the matter of the heart. she is the one who is stalling, fearing for his reputation when he time and time again reassures her he does not care for such matters. all he cares about is her. palm of her hand pressed against his, other rests upon strong his strong shoulder. feeling the dip of muscle beneath her calloused fingertips. hands of a worker rather than a lady. the bold declaration and she falters in her steps, flush creeping up her neck and staining her cheeks rosy.     ❝ you certainly are bold.... some may even say headless, ❞ her included. so little to offer.     ❝ but i beg you never will, ❞ wishing upon every star each night that this fairytale she is currently living will never end. that eternity will be theirs.

@moiraied ❛ ❛ i see no need in wasting time. ❜ ❜ there was something about her hand in his that felt right. isaac didn't believe in fate or destiny, but with her hand in his and his hand on her waist, he could believe in such cosmic power in that moment. they took their spot on the ballroom floor, their bodies close, but not too close as to start rumours --- how rumours can start like wildfire in this city and burn out of control, but if those whispers included their names in union he didn't think he minded.

the duke grinned down at serenay, their feet taking them through the motions of the start of the song. her words reaching his ears and he took a glance around the crowd before answering. ❛ ❛ none that could convince my heart to leave you. ❜ ❜ isaac was a bold man, a man that knew what he wanted ... and he wanted her. mind, heart, body and soul.

Aurélia’s reputation as a hardcore sleeper precedes her. Everyone on the team now knows that she can fall asleep anywhere. And that’s probably not an exaggeration. Thank God for coffee, which everyone has also realized Aurélia has a fondness for. So much so, that coffee is now always ready when the team comes in for early morning practices. So, when the young woman walks into the locker room, it’s with a coffee cup in her hand. As she reaches her locker, she’s about to take a sip, but her eyes take note of her teammate nearby. Sympathy washes over her at the sight of her exhausted teammate. She reaches out with the cup. “You look like you need this more than me.” She can always get another coffee.

a hollow feeling he left behind. there, in her chest. asked her to leave with him and she isn't sure he knew, that he took her heart with him that day. and she isn't sure she could take it back now. not sure her heart would recognize who she had become. not sure he recognize who she had become. because she did change. change more and more, until she became a whole other woman. one that could survive in the red keep. did she think they were meant to be together ? once upon a time. yes, she did. truly believed it would be the two of them. given her a moment & she would have gone with him. she would have stood by his side, even as he left this place. but she never got the choice, not truly. her father made sure of that. made sure he could use her, just as he wanted. swallow softly as she looks over to him, and she think, it's a little harder to breath. a little harder, because there is a lump forming in her throat.     ❝   i guess we will never know.   ❞

crease between his brows, doesn’t know how to tell him. nor does he know how to tell anyone, even if jack has more or less figured it out by himself. not exactly subtle with how his eyes tend to linger at 66-david. knew from the very first day kelly had stepped foot into hq that she was the one for him. question was if he was the one for her.

@mythsonly. can't help the grin that curl upon features & perhaps she take it as a confirmation that she should definitely do the jigsaw doll for halloween this year. the makeup being one thing, but could make the suit a little more sexy and play around with it.     ❝   so, it's perfect .   ❞      small shrug of shoulder. think she could put together something from her own wardrobe, just needing the makeup and a red bowtie and that's not entirely a bad thing. ❝   yeah, think it'll be great to be honest.   ❞      soft murmur while looking from the costume she put back in place and back to ava. just need to figure out what to put her best friend in now.

❝   not seen any scary movies lately ? pull a character from it and just make it your own ?   ❞ inquire while gaze trail across the hangers & rest of the costumes. wide range of choice, but just like her : ava didn't seem to find anything here that sparked interest, so perhaps think a little outside this shop. ❝   wednesday addams is probably hot this year ?   ❞

@scribare ❛ ❛ that doll freaks me out. ❜ ❜ ava scrunches her nose up a little, just thinking of the little doll was going to give her nightmares, though her red - headed companion would knock it out of the park --- honestly, ava thought jules could pull anything off. the woman was effortless, and if they weren't best friends she would be more than envious of that. ❛ ❛ though i'm sure you'd make it look hot. ❜ ❜

a laugh falls from her lips as jules takes the costume from her hands and places it back where it belongs, and that's in the shop and not on ava's body. though she didn't blame jules's less than enthusiastic response. ❛ ❛ i have literally no ideas this year. ❜ ❜ a small exasperation, her lips forming a tight line as she looks between jules and the many costumes that adorned the shop. it's not as though she didn't have options, it's that nothing interested her. her eyes went back to searching through the hangers. ❛ ❛ do i want scary or cute ? ❜ ❜
