AUTONOMOUS FRAGMENTS @nadine_fecht @samuelhenne @nmkuechler @timplamper @adadprojectspace Hannover AUTONOMOUS FRAGMENTS on the one hand, refers to the idea that a fragment is a part of a whole; on the other hand, it can be a remnant of something that once was or is in its process of being created. As with the works exhibited, they each pose different questions in terms of content and media, but they are always concerned with "fragments" and "fragmentation" in the context of their own works. They explore a variety of aesthetic approaches and techniques such as abstract drawing, collage or installation. They may include found objects or paper that have been assembled into a new meaning, elements of the body that challenge the viewer to think about what has been left out, or architectural structures that can be seen as ruins or incomplete surfaces. NINA MARIA KÜCHLER deals in her work with the fragmentary state of our collective, such as incomplete images from our memory or materials that are in the process of decomposition. Also the drawings and collages of TIM PLAMPER addresses questions such as what is visible, what is lost and what remains? His abstract and playful interactions with traces reveal a connection to that which is no longer visible. The work by NADINE FECHT shows found price tags that she has placed together on a grid. In her work, she refers to the in-between state and the instability in our society. This can range from changing value concepts within society, the subjectivity of individual perception or inter-subjective communication. SAMUEL HENNE, on the other hand, questions the production conditions and constructions of images and their interpretation in collage-like techniques. By taking found objects and images and assembling them as individual fragments, his work questions concepts of misinterpretation and originality.
