For murder mysteries, I'm always going to suggest skeletons over appless. I find it helps immensely when it comes to helping figure out the killer & red-herrings, and you can add in fun clues and details during plot drops. You can also get a good grasp on applications on who comes across as a good fit for the roles you require.

(As an aside, I've found people that tend to apply for skeletons/bios tend to stick around longer than people who do appless. And less chance for people to just reuse the same chars)

I'm on the same page as you but before lunching into the skeletons, I wanted to be certain it would be of interest to some people. Looks like it is and I've been working on the graphics today and making a list of the first batch! It will be a mix of Gods and humans that are inspired by heroes from mythology.

THE TITANS.

They once ruled the Gods, after Cronus overthrew Uranus, the one who was a paternal figure to them. History repeated itself, as Cronus, and the other Titans, were exiled, thought to be dead, by none other than Zeus. Cronus, who betrayed their own mentor, never saw the same happening to them, the betrayal of Zeus a complete surprise.

THE ELEUSINIAN.

The Eleusinian is a secret society, considered anarchists by Zeus, who are mostly made of humans who rejects the reign of the Gods. Over the years, a few Gods joined, their identity so secret that only a few know who they are. In the last years, they have made their presence known in New Atlantis, hacking systems, sabotaging events and worming their way into the upper ranks of society.

THE MOIRAI.

They are the incarnation of destiny. Clotho presided over the moment in which we are born. Lachesis spun out all the events and actions of our life. Atropos cut the thread of human life with a pair of scissors.

The role of the Moirai is to ensure that every being, mortal and divine, lived out their destiny as it was assigned to them by the laws of the universe. For mortals, this destiny spanned their entire lives, and was represented as a thread spun from a spindle. They are considered to be above even the gods in their role as enforcers of fate.

The Moirai are NPC controlled by the admin.

THE OLYMPUS TOWER.

The highest building in all of New Atlantis, it’s from there that zeus ruled the most influential city in the world. Managed like a corporation and not a government, the God established himself as the most powerful being in all of New Atlantis. Now that the God is gone, someone will have to step in and the race to the throne will be brutal.

The board members of New Atlantis are Hera, Poseidon, Demeter, Athena, Apollo, Artemis, Ares, Hephaestus, Aphrodite, Hermes and 2 humans, one of which is secretly a member of the Eleusinians. 

AGEIS SECURITY.

The streets of New Atlantis are patrolled by Gorgons, those who protect the city. Ageis Security is also responsible for every security systems in New Atlantis, Athena ruling the empire with an iron fist.

ARES WARFARE.

An incredibly lucrative company, Ares Warfare is the biggest arms dealer in the world. Always equipped with the latest technologies, everything that comes out of their warehouse sells quickly and at a high price.

APOLLO LABS.

The biggest pharmaceutical and medical company in the world, it’s all thanks to Apollo that many diseases were eradicated and others easily managed with medications. 

AMARANTH.

One of the biggest charities in the world, Amaranth is responsible for the preservation of all animal and ecosystems with Artemis at the head.

ANVIL TECH.

Everyone uses Anvil technologies, even the Gods. It can be find everywhere, in cars, greenhouses, hospitals, cellulars, and more. With Anvil Tech., Hephaestus showed everyone just how valuable they were, most things depending on their technologies.

CADUCEUS COMMUNICATIONS.

With Hermes came a modernization of all type of communications, all residents of New Atlantis using Caduceus Communications as their providers for internet, mail and television.

DEMETER INDUSTRIES.

While Poseidon controls the export and import of New Atlantis, it’s from Demeter that came the goods. Demeter industries harvest the best produces in the world, no matter the climate needed. Every grocery store in New Atlantis get their produce from Demeter Industries.

LUST.

Lust not only manage and print the biggest fashion magazine in the world, it’s also a cosmetics and wellness empire, with Aphrodite as the face of it. Everyone has hard of Lust, most people own one of their products or wish they could afford one.

TRIDENT EXPORT-IMPORT.

Everything that come and goes in New Atlantis, every shipment as much as travelers, are regulated by Trident export-import. The company has complete control of the sea and air.

The new main will be revealed on monday july 31st.

The skeletons will start to be posted on august 1st, with 3 to 4 a day, which should take around a week to post all 24 of them.

Zeus was the first to step on earth in this new era, to make himself known, revealing that the Gods were real. Millenia feeding his ego, the myth of Zeus was powerful enough to bring everyone to their knees. Raising Atlantis from the sea, a new city was created, one where Gods and humans lived together, in apparent harmony. The Gods were worshipped, seen as superior and they quickly seized control of the world, bringing with them technologies and discoveries that humans had only been able to dream of. But not everyone agreed with this new era, one where madness could lead to the top.

Zeus was found dead at the Olympus tower. Who killed him?

Killing a God should have been impossible, even more Zeus, and the shock of such a news was felt all over the world. In New Atlantis, it threatened the very structure of society, the board members of New Atlantis meeting constantly, trying to figure out what happened to Zeus and who should lead. And with Hera nowhere to be found, suspicions are growing as the Gods wonder if Zeus’ spouse was responsible for all of this.

And The Eleusinians in all that? They had a big year, their presence being known more and more, their message being heard and seen on TV, hacking interrupting the most watched stations, graffiti on appearing on the wall of the city and the growing whisper that some Gods could be part of the secret society. No one has claimed the murder of Zeus yet, but next to Hera, the Eleusinians are being mentioned and the fact that they could be anyone is not helping the unease.

The Moirai have been silent, only a brief message of condolences issued and nothing since, as if they were waiting for New Atlantis to descend into the chaos that is brewing.

can you tell us who the skeletons will be?
