mikudayo is a derivative character created in the image of hatsune miku. she is a human-size mascot costume based off of the hatsune miku nendoroid, how ever the costume was clumsy and awkward. she first appeared in 2011 in "Tokyo Game Show 2011", where she was promoting project mirai, however mikudayo scared the children there. mikudayos name was officially recognised in apr 2012, and mikudayo herself became an official member of the cfm line up on 24 sep 2012. she is often depicted as evil in the fandom. the fanloid fandom wiki says mikudayo first appeared on 11 sep 2011, however the vocaloid fandom wiki says it was 17 sep 2011. a youtube video uploaded on 19 sep 2011 by rlgofs (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OP7BPyfTLOA) says it was 18 sep 2011, and i could see the difference between the 17th and 18th being just time zones, so ive chosen to go with the 17th. mikudayo has gotten multiple art exhibitions, including one in yokohama which features the art of cha_bo (cha_bo39 on twt). this was held in 2016 from 1 may to 8 may at the Hachiban-kan venue in Naka-ku. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hUDQC7qOX5Y here is a video showing it in more detail. much of the art is creepy and horror-like, and shows mikudayos creepiness

Aku mendengar suara mobil dan motor berhenti ketika sedang menyuapi Mama. Tak lama tersengara suara pintu dibuka dengan kasar, disusul suara tangisan Nisa yang mulai terdengar saat masuk ke rumah.

“Sebentar ya Ma.” kataku. Ku letakkan piring di nakas Mama dan berdiri.

Belum sempat aku keluar, Nisa sudah berada di depan kamar Mama.

“Mama.. Mas. Mas Raka. Hu hu hu…”Teriak Nisa.

Ia duduk di sebelah Mama, “Ma, Nisa nggak tahan lagi. Nisa nggak kuat. Ayo dong Ma, sembuh. Ayo Ma kita lawan Papa.” Nisa menangis sembari menggoyang-goyangkan badan Mama.

Aku yang kaget dengan kelakuan Nisa, reflek menegurnya, “Nisa! Pelan-pelan, Mama bisa tersedak. Kamu kenapa?”

Nisa hendak menjawab, namun Papa menarik tanggannya hingga berdiri. “Nisa! Kamu salah paham nak! Wanita tadi hanya teman Papa.” teriak Papa.

Nisa menghempaskan tangan Papa, dia terlihat benar-benar marah.

“Jangan dikira Mama, Nisa, Mas Raka, diam selama ini karena kami nggak tau kelakukan Papa. KAMI TAU PA! TAU KALAU PAPA SELINGKUH!” Nisa berteriak.

“Dan tadi, bukti-buktinya semakin NYATA! Mana ada teman yang pegangan tangan! Aku emang masih SMA, tapi aku nggak bodoh Pa! Semua kelakuan Papa tadi udah aku rekam! Mau liat ha? Liat mata aku Pa, ayo bilang sekali lagi kalau aku salah paham bilang sekali lagi kalau aku salah paham!”

Nisa mengeluarkan gawainya, lalu menunjukkannya ke Papa. Rekaman video yang memperlihatkan Papa keluar dari mobil dan menggandeng mesra seorang wanita. Tanganku mengepal, kutahan sekuat tenaga agar tak melayangkan tinju ke Papa. Aku tak sanggup membayangkan, Nisa harus melihatnya dengan mata kepalanya sendiri.

Raut wajah Papa berubah, entah karena kaget, tak percaya jika anak perempuannya bisa membentaknya.

“Papa tau nggak siapa penyebab Mama bisa sakit seperti ini? TAU NGGAK PA?”

“PAPA ORANGNYA! Papa yang membuat Mama, lumpuh nggak berdaya, nggak bisa bicara, semua karena kelakuan bejat Papa. Papa nggak tau kan kalau Mama sudah lama curiga? Papa juga nggak tau kan kalau sehari sebelum Mama sakit, Mama ikutin Papa!”

“Papa pasti nggak sadar alasan kami selama ini cuek ke Papa itu apa? Papa nggak tau kan kenapa mas Raka nunda skripsinya? Itu karena kami protes ke Papa! Kami kecewa pa!”

“Papa nggak tau kan kenapa Nisa nggak kasih surat pertemuan orangtua ke Papa? Karena Nisa takut dan malu Pa! Nisa nggak mau Papa datang ke sekolah, Nisa takut semua orang di sekolah tau kalau Papa selingkuh!”

“Tiap malam Pa, Nisa lihat Mama menangis tanpa suara. Tiap malam juga Pa, Nisa nggak perrnah tidur nyenyak. Nisa nggak percaya, kalau orang yang seharusnya menjadi cinta pertama Nisa, malah menyakiti Nisa. Nisa sakit hati setiap kali mengingat Papa tidak setia! ”

Jujur, ini pertama kali aku melihat Nisa mengeluarkan emosinya. Selama ini, dia tak pernah marah bahkan tak pernah menampakkan kekesalannya Dia tak pernah protes, hanya diam saja. Mungkin karena itulah saat ini perasaannya meledak. Dia tumpahkan semua perasaan yang tertahan.

“Dada.. Nisa… sakit… tiap kali liat Papa. Sakit… Hu uuu uu..” Nisa memukul dadanya dengan keras berkali-kali. Aku buru-buru menahannya dan memeluk Nisa. Dia meraung-raung sejadinya.

“Nisa.. sakit Mas.. Siapa lagi pria yang harus Nisa percaya?” Aku mengelus kepalanya berharap bisa sedikit menenangkannya.

Papa tak bisa menjawab apapun perkataan Nisa, ia juga menangis.

Kami tak sadar, dua bola mata Mama sedang mengamati kami, dua telinga Mama sedang mendengarkan kami. Kami tak sadar, Mama juga menangis dan menahan amarah.

“Raka.. sampai sekarang juga nggak percaya Papa bisa setega ini kepada kami. Raka masih nggak paham apa alasan Papa berani berselingkuh dari Mama. Hari-hari Raka habiskan untuk berpikir, haruskah tetap membiarkan Mama di samping Papa? Atau haruskah aku bawa saja semua keluar dari rumah ini agar kami tak terluka dan Papa bisa bebas melakukan apa yang Papa mau? Haruskah aku seperti itu Pa?” Aku membuka suara.

“Aku merasa menjadi anak dan kakak yang gagal Pa. Aku gagal melindungi Papa, aku gagal melindungi adik-adikku.”

“Jika aku saja merasa gagal? Apakah Papa juga tak merasa gagal menjadi orang tua?”

Air mataku tak terbendung lagi, untuk pertama kali pula aku bisa menangisi masalah ini.

“Raka.. Nisa.. Papa…tak berniat selingkuh awalnya. Kami tak sengaja bertemu di reuni sekolah.. dan tiba-tiba saja dekat. Papa… khilaf nak. Tapi Papa cuma dekat aja, nggak ngapa-ngapain, nggak pernah berzina.” Papa akhirnya membuka suara.

Nisa melepaskan pelukannya, dia maju dan mencengkram kerah Papa. Aku kaget, tak mengira ia akan seberani ini. Papa juga terlihat sama kagetnya, namun Papa tak menghindar, ia biarkan Nisa mengungkapkan perasannya.

“Aku, nggak peduli mau Papa berniat awalnya, mau nggak! Tapi, fakta kalau Papa selingkuh akan tetap membekas di ingatan Nisa. Papa yang berubah sejak selingkuh juga nggak akan bisa Nisa lupakan seumur hidup. Papa ingat ini baik-baik, Nisa nggak akan pernah percaya lelaki manapun lagi, ini karena Papa! Kalau nanti Nisa nggak mau menikah, juga salahkan diri Papa. Dan terakhir, dengar baik-baik Pa, sekali lagi Papa berhubungan dengan wanita itu, entah melalui telefon atau ketemu, maka hari itu akan jadi hari terakhir Nisa  panggil Papa dengan sebutan Papa!”

Suasana mencekam sejenak, hingga terdengar teriakan dan dentingan barang pecah belah jatuh.

“AAAAAARRRRRGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!”

Kami menoleh ke arah Mama. Mama lah yang berteriak sembari menghempaskan piring dan barang di nakas, untuk pertama kali setelah 10 bulan sakit, akhirnya…… Mama bisa bersuara.

“MAMAAA…” Aku dan Nisa berteriak dan bersamaan menghampiri Mama, sedang Papa hanya mampu menoleh ke arah Mama dan terduduk lemas di lantai.

“Da.. daa.. Ma..ma… sa..kit..” Mama menangis sembari menepuk dadanya.

Aku dan Nisa memeluk Mama erat. 

“Ma..ma.. sa..kit.. li..hat.. a..nak..ma..ma..sa..kit..”

“Ma..af..kan..Ma..ma.. dan.. Pa..pa” “Ma..ma.. sa..yang..ka..lia..an. Sa..yang..Pa..pa..mu ju..ga.”

Dalam pelukan ini, kami berbagi luka. Tak akan kami biarkan Mama menanggungnya sendirian lagi. Tak lama kami juga merasakan, Papa ikut memeluk kami erat. Suara tangis kami terdengar bergantian. Tangisan yang penuh luka namun juga ada perasaan lega. Setidaknya kemelut dalam keluarga kami akhirnya terpecahkan, tinggal mencari titik terang saat tenang.

Church and Cherry Blossoms

Location: Yamatecho, Naka-ku, Yokohama, Japan Timestamp: 14:53 April 4, 2023

The Yokohama Sacred Heart Cathedral, also known as the Yamate Catholic Church, has a rich history dating back to its establishment in 1862 by French missionaries. Sadly, the original structure was destroyed in the devastating 1923 Great Kanto Earthquake that rocked the Tokyo/Yokohama areas.

Fortunately, the church was rebuilt in the Neo-Gothic style by a Czech architect, and the construction was completed in 1937. This new structure is a testament to the resilience and determination of the church's community to rebuild their place of worship after such a tragic event.

Throughout the years, I have passed by the cathedral on numerous occasions. However, on this specific day, luck was on my side as I had the opportunity to visit during the full bloom of the cherry blossoms. The exquisite pink petals, juxtaposed against the backdrop of the Neo-Gothic architecture and robin-egg blue roof, instantly caught my eye.
