One tree hill did not want to be stay a teen drama some of the episodes are legit mini horror movies. Like Peytons fake psycho brother and Nanny Carrie the writers clearly wanted to do a different type of show

No because One Tree Hill was wild. Like you've got Lucas and Nathan as the main brothers who aren't even 3 months apart in age. They live in North Carolina. They're both obsessed with basketball of all things. Nathan loves hip-hop and Lucas is a Rock/indie person. Haley is Lucas's best friend and you think oh Dawson’s Creek EXCEPT NO she dates Nathan. And they get married??? After like two months??? But actually they have one of the best love stories on the show??? Oh and Nathan gets emancipated. Haley has a relatively successful music career. And When Stars Go Blue charted because of it. The entire third season is sponsored by SUNKIST of all things. Brooke Davis is introduced as just another cheerleader like she's not even in the pilot but then she dates Lucas except he's in love with Peyton who dated Nathan. Oh, and Brooke starts a fashion empire in high school because she was pissed off about a guy. Peyton's Mom is dead, her dad is never around. She drives a car that Lucas writes a book about. Peyton also has a stalker???And got shot???? AND DATED PETE WENTZ. Yes, that Pete Wentz he even actually guest starred. Nathan and Haley go from almost divorced to parents in the span of a school year. Brooke is essentially couch surfing at one point??? Lucas and Nathan's dad is convinced Lucas tried to kill him??? And then kills somebody! A DOG EATS A HEART TRANSPLANT Nathan's mom gets addicted to pills. Lucas’s sister is also his cousin and the same age as his nephew. There's a four year time jump. It survived the WB-UPN merger. Episodes were an hour long. It ran for 9 seasons.

I just have some food for thought the next time someone wants to attack my boy Nathan Scott for the whole Nanny Carrie situation. Why didn't Haley fire Carrie?!?!

It's hard cause I see both of their perspectives, they are both victims of Carrie, and also understand that this is a show and certain things have to happen for the plot. But if I forget that this is a show for a minute why didn't Haley fire Carrie!!!??? Like I kinda get why Nathan didn't cause the dude is a sweetheart when it comes to women... sometimes a little too much. He isn't gonna yell at a woman to leave him alone and he didn't wanna fire Carrie because she was helping taking stuff off Haley's plate and Jamie liked her. There were other reasons (I went into that in another post so I won't rehash all of it). Nathan also tried to nicely tell not to do stuff but Carrie did not respond or listen to subtleties. That's where Haley, as a fellow woman, comes in. Nathan can't hit her but Haley needed to punch that bitch and then fire her!

Haley is a badass and has such great instincts when it comes to conniving women. Like Haley had Rachel clocked since the moment she looked at Nathan and Haley did not give Rachel an inch (as she shouldn't). All the red flags were there with Carrie! She heard Carrie call Nathan "Daddy" in a suggestive way. She heard Carrie make an inappropriate comment about how good Nathan looked in the pool!! And I know that Haley clocked it. She was staring daggers at Carrie after she made the comment about how Nathan looked good in the pool. Why did she not fire her!! There's millions of nanny fish in the sea!!

Nathan's a badass too and no pushover but he knows how to deal with guys. When a dude gets pushy he'll just punch him or threaten him. But Nathan doesn't have a whole lot of tools in his belt to deal with pushy women. The dude's learning but in S5 he's not quite there yet.

Btw this is NOT an anti post for Haley. Again both Haley and Nathan are victims of Carrie and at the end of the day I don't overly blame either of them for it. Carrie is a psycho and all blame should be laid on her shoulders! It's just food for thought because so many people attack my boy Nathan and I'm done with that shit.
