You wanna know the most unrealistic thing in 911?

Getting units to talk to dispatch is like pulling teeth.

I stayed an hour late tonight waiting for my units to tell me what they were doing only to find out they had just decided to go back to station without telling me about it until I called to ask once they were overdue for long enough.

AND I AM IN WILDLAND DISPATCH. My worry isn't, "Oh, my units got in a fender bender." It's, "I wonder if my units drove off a cliff in the middle of butt fuck nowhere and I'm going to have to go find a helicopter with nightvision to hunt them down?"

AND IT DOESN'T EVEN HELP IF THEY'RE RELATED TO ANY OF US. My boss's wife is on one of our engines. They still do not radio in to us properly.
