Will I ever say no to writing for this Nerdy Gremlin Surgeon? Of course not!

Disclaimer: I kind of did it without thinking and after the re-read I realised this might be confusing for Readers. I highly base the way Law speaks on information given by kaizokuou-ni-naru's translation (info on his verbal quirk here and here). Basically, since I learned that he doesn’t use the lowkey rude -ya towards his crew, I somehow can’t use it for Reader nor any other person who is supposed to be close to him. And, yeah, I teased a little bit, using said information. I hope you don’t mind!

One person has to bend down in order to kiss their partner, who is standing on their tip-toes to reach their partner’s.

Law truly could be an asshole.

Truth to be told, you hadn’t seen him like that for a while. It had been almost two years since you saw this playful light lurking in his eyes for the last time. You weren’t sure if it was because of the post-Dressrosa relaxation or the discernible smell of sake in his breath. You were sure though you just stumbled into a little game of his. And when Law was in a mood for games, it could go for ages.

“Oh c’mon,” you whined when for one more time he moved away from you as you tried to kiss him. Like the height difference between the two of you wasn’t already a problem. Usually Law had it in mind and was bending down to allow you to meet his lips. Or he was dragging you onto his lap, so the levels were more even. When he was in a more cocky mood, he was forcing you to balance on your tip-toes, chuckling at your—mostly failing—attempts. But now…

Oh, if it wasn’t for your stubbornness, you would just bite the first reachable part of his body to teach him a lesson. What an impossible jerk!

You tried once again and pushed against his chest, doing your best to drag him down towards you by the collar of his shirt—but you could as well try to push a mountain from your way. He didn’t even budge, obstreperously watching your struggle from the upland of his impressive height, a shadow of a smirk bending corners of your aim:his lips. In desperation you stood on his boots, hopping on the very tips of your toes and clinging to his shirt—but he only stood on his tip-toes as well, jacking his face even more up. You lost balance and—to save yourself from embarrassing landing on your booty—had to let him go.

“Why are you like this?” you huffed, anger and irritation slowly taking control over you. “What did I do to you?”

“Nothing,” he said, running his knuckles down from your cheekbone towards your jawline, gently caressing your skin, “I just love seeing you so worked up.”

“This is the first time in ages we have some time for ourselves and you already have to be such a douchebag?”

Law’s eyes narrowed dangerously, but a playful smirk remained, giving you a good memory of sailing with your boyfriend and captain on the gentler seas.

“Is this a way you should speak to your superior, Y/N-ya?”

“Don’t you ‘ya’ at me!” Another one of your attempts was stopped by the Room and rapid swift of Law’s powers, which teleported you a good few feet away. “I am not some kind of a stranger, so you could be so…rude!”

Law almost—almost—broke and actually smiled. Oh, he was enjoying this little annoying game way too much.

“Say sorry and we can think what we can do about it.” To accent the statement, the tip of his tongue swiftly licked his bottom lip. He knew well where you were looking.

If he wanted it this way…

“Fine. I’m sorry.”

Now he was openly smirking at you, almost revealing the dimples he had when smiling freely, “I’m sorry who?”

“I’m sorry, captain,” you almost whined.

“See? You can be a polite girl after all.” Law approached you and—finally—bent a little bit. He still didn’t make it easy for you, giving you plenty of space to stand on your tip-toes. You didn’t lose your time and attacked his lips with all the power and fury you had, almost knocking him out of balance. Almost suffocating in a fiery kiss, you frantically moved around the room to finally land on the sofa, you on top of Law, and to fight for your breath.

And you were right. Law’s mouth was so full of the taste of sake you could easily get drunk too.

“Not only an asshole but a drunkard too,” you attacked his lips once again, this time feeling them openly curving into a wide smile under your ministrations.
