As much as I could continue to post photo after photo of Ireland, I will finish off this series and hopefully be back with more in March. 🙏 Saving the best for last, we have the lovely Cobh (pronounced cove). This little coastal town in southern County Cork is known for two reasons: having one of the deepest natural harbors in the world and also that it was where the Titanic set sail (though built in Belfast). ⚓️🚢 To say it’s charming doesn’t even begin to do it any justice. SWIPE ⬅️ for a look past the iconic deck of cards houses! Naturally I found an animal to befriend and even had a home cooked Irish breakfast (vegetarian friendly 🙌). #Trincomalee (#Trinco) sits on one the #world’s finest #naturalharbors. This #historic city is old almost beyond reckoning: it’s possibly the site of historic #Gokana in the #Mahavamsa (Great Chronicle), and its #Shivatemple the site of #TrikutaHill in the #Hindutext Vayu Purana. Most people just pass through the city on their way to the nearby beaches of #Uppuveli and #Nilaveli, but the town has some charm, plenty of history and an interesting melange of people.#ThilankaTours #Srilanka
