Autumn Equinox, Texas Style - A Square Foot of Fauna Series The Autumn Equinox is a time of harvest, the moment when the Sun appears to cross the celestial equator, heading southward. It is a time that reminds me of home and country and earth. Growing up in Texas, the Longhorn is a formidable statuesque symbol of majesty and grandeur. There is something messy and transitional about moving from one season to the next. Much of my style of painting is about creating beauty out of seeming chaotic strokes. This is great great grampa... He’s the oldest guy in Lorence Creek. His favorite is protein pellets mixed with wild bird seed and sun scratch.
