Fly Navy ! These Hawkeyes are so cool looking ! While we were out there shooting, I was hearing a 'popping' sound and had no idea that it was coming from the propellers which just made watching it that much cooler. Airborne Command & Control Squadron 113 (VAW-113), known as "Black Eagles", was established on 20 April 1967 flying the E-2A Hawkeye. So much power behind these blades, they were working patterns and when the gear was up, damn these things could move!!! In 2020, the squadron was redesignated Airborne Command & Control Squadron from Carrier Airborne Early Warning Squadron. Thank you Mark & Dan for a great day...
