Finding stuff

Let's assume your room is organized and there is a clean space to work (in other words your clothes and other equipment are no longer on your desk). The next step is to make sure that everything you need to study has a place. History notes and books are together, science ditto and the same for every subject. If your notes and books are not organized it is a bit like trying to remember your telephone number while thinking about the last sports match you watched - not going to happen. Different color files for different subjects, a notebook for study notes for each subject and an organized space for all of this so you can find it easily. Not everyone can spend the money on a whole lot of different equipment or they find it difficult to work with pen and paper for each subject so perhaps you need to organize computer folders on your computer or plenty of loose pages for writing notes that can be kept together with your textbooks and school files. Whichever suits you best, get it done. When there is a place for everything and everything in its place it is so much easier to focus on the subject matter rather than breaking off all the time to look for the information that could be anywhere between the school file, folded in the school bag or lost under the bed.
