I want to write and I'm so sorry I haven't posted in like a month. But I was invested in my application for a master degree and the scholarship, and that took all my energy, time and concentration.

Will we date? HAHAHAHAHAH I DON'T KNOW.

He's enrolling in the Army to be a pro soldier (So Levi) and probably leaving in May. Thus, I don't want to get high hopes.

I will write, hopefully starting next week. The current fluff in my life is inspiring.

I gave him one of my earrings this morning and asked him to keep it until the next time we see each other.

i was uh…i was something in high school lmao. if anything, i’d say i was like a mix of eddie munson and steve harrington. very outspoken and easily revved up like eddie, but jockish and athletic like steve. i’ve definitely changed in terms of how much my real world experiences have shaped me, i think i became less of a cold bitch somewhere along the way though lol

Lockdown in Trieste Day 22

Italy has seen 4,053 new cases and 837 new deaths in the past 24 hours. Although it is horrifying to see so many deaths each day, it is heartening to see the daily number of new cases go down. It is clear that we will continue to see large numbers of deaths for more days, as there are more than 4,000 in intensive care.

In our region there are 92 new cases bringing the total to 1,593, and 6 new deaths bringing the total to 113. The flags flew at half mast in Piazza Unita today in recognition of those who perished and in solidarity with worse hit regions of Italy.

The President of the national health service reported today that the curve tells us that we are at the plateau, not the peak; it does not mean that we have conquered the summit and that it is finished but that we have to start the descent. He advised caution saying that the epidemic can start again if we give up on the containment and isolation measures in place. He reported that they are working on developing technologies to carry out large population surveys that require faster tests.

Free distribution of masks started in Trieste by Civil protection volunteers, as shown in the picture. The masks will be placed in mailboxes, so it will not be necessary to open the doors of homes. The city of Trieste has been divided into areas, those with higher housing density and with high presence of people over 75 years of age will be prioritised.

Newsweek reported today that Italy could be virtually free of new cases by the middle of May, according to experts from the Einauldi Institute for Economics and Finance. They carried out calculations using data from the Civil protection and concluded the disease could be practically eliminated between 5th and 16th May. They provided forecasts for each region,  and predict that our region could be infection free by 10th April. This is wonderful news and reason for hope. Even better, they predict that Lombardy (the hardest hit region) could be infection free by 22nd April. What life will look like after that is anyone’s guess, but we can surely expect some return to normality, if not complete freedom. Simple things like going out for a cup of coffee, walking along the seafront in Barcola, and meeting friends for an aperitivo will have a different meaning for me in future.

I had a relaxing, nice day. Skype call with my colleagues this morning during which we bade farewell to Nela who is leaving for 12 months maternity leave. Under normal circumstances we would mark such an event with a company lunch but we had to make do with a toast of coffee cups, and a promise that we would celebrate later. It was a beautiful bright, sunny day but with a cold bora wind. I got quite a bit of work done today, although I have to admit it was done from my bed with a hot water bottle. I went for a walk in the park with my dog late afternoon when the wind died down, and I sat in the rose garden for half an hour enjoying the sun on my face. That is what I most love about living on the Mediterranean, being able to go out on cold winter or spring days in a warm puffer jacket, and sit outside in the sun.

My article on the effects of Coronavirus on commercial real estate appeared today in Slovenia’s daily financial newspaper, I will post a link to an English translation soon.

None, anon, none. I've never dated a younger guy.

I've only dated one person in my life for ten years and he's still my current boyfriend. I've never cheated, and I don't intend to, but when someone is cute, hot, or pretty, I say so. Either man or woman.

I'm attracted to beauty in any form.

However...

A couple of times, guys have approached during the bus ride home. One sit next to me and started talking to me. He wasn't awkward nor he made feel uncomfortable; he was nice, and outgoing indeed. Suddenly, he asked me out, (a bold move) just like that, I didn't even know his name. I said no because I had a boyfriend, though he insisted. He looked so young, I'd say eighteen in that time, and I was twenty-four. The second one, it was even funnier. The guy was sitting on the row in front of me. I saw him taking out a notebook and scribbling down something I thought he was taking notes from a class or something related to uni. But then, he turned around and handed me a piece of paper. I unfolded it and it said I was really pretty. I swear I had to bite my lips to hold back my laugh, because he could see me from the driver's rearview mirror. I didn't know what to do, because those situations make me too shy. Thank God, he dropped two stops before I did and never saw him again.

I don't know why I feel more comfortable around younger people. I guess we share more interests rather than with people my age. Most of my high school classmates are married or have kids, and I'm here watching snk and writing fics of Levi. xD

This might be triggering, so I'll put the warning here.

TW: depression.

Well, I've dealt with depression for years and after all this time I sometimes wonder if it will ever go away, or one simply learns to live with it and keep it at bay. Hence, I built a routine and try to stick to it in order to be productive and balance health and hobbies as well, and also prevents me from overthinking.

However, sometimes worthlessness and hopelessness strike back in the form of nagging thoughts and harmful self-speech (which is what's been happening lately) and I start to withdraw and nestle in my comfort zone. I don't hang out, or work, or write, or workout, or do the things I like because I lack the energy to get out of bed. (I'm an overthinker and the queen of people pleasing which makes things worse) So I really need to push myself out of that circle through meditation, self-care, prioritize my health, change the speech toward myself and remind me there are beautiful things out there, that I deserve good things as well, that I have family and friends who love me and support me, that there is a novel I want to finish, that there are books i haven't read and music I haven't listen to. (I have a list of the things that keep me rolling, as silly as they are.)

Thus, right now I'm going through that process, and since it is an energy guzzler, I've been reorganizing my priorities.

That's a rough explanation of what's going on.

Honestly, I don't have much love or relationship experience in general since I've only had one boyfriend in my life. Unfortunately, this year, we broke up because the distance was cooling down the relationship, but we continue to be friends.

This year, since I joined dancing classes, (bachata, salsa, and merengue) I've got to meet new people, and most of the guys in the class are younger than me, and three of those are nice and kind and approach me during class, but I'm not too interested in involving myself in a new relationship so soon. We just talk in class and have fun dancing and laughing at our mistakes; in general, people who dance always have a positive attitude. There is one, however, who I really enjoy talking to and texting, and even though he's ten years younger than me (legal though), he's more mature than many child-men I've met. For now, we treat each other like friends.

With time, I've come to realize that I'm more attracted to younger guys or guys my age or maybe one to three years older than me, with youthful and laidback personalities. If a guy over 33 talks to me, I'm calling my dad hahahaha, I just don't like older men because I feel we don't share many interests and I find them boring. (just my opinion).

To answer your question, I don't have much experience to share but to accept that I like younger guys more than older guys because of their spontaneity and careless nature, and I easily get along with them. I'm attracted to those that make me laugh. And I don't know if they are good lovers or not because I've never been with any of them, I don't engage in casual sex or situationships, and I haven't dated other guys but my now ex-boyfriend. However, I've heard from other girls that younger men have a lot of energy and want to impress the woman, but I can't avow.

I also know others who like the best of both worlds, though not me. They like the experience and maturity of older men, and the youthfulness and energy of younger guys. There aren't rules when it comes to relationships, as long as the people involved consent and state their intentions clearly.

I'm starting to think that levi and hange were more than friends....never seen levis voice be so soft with anyone....

I'll be honest, I don't ship them romantically; however, the special bond woven between those two is so strong, unbreakable. (*sobs*) For me, they are like a married couple without the mawkish, giddy, romantic part of a relationship. I mean, they've been fighting alongside since year 844, and as we saw in the no regrets manga (sadly the anime adaptation left that out) Hange was the only scout who didn't frown upon them because of their origins. In fact, they friendly approached the group and offered cookies, and Levi eventually found in them someone in whom he could trust. (He lost his best friends and was roaming alone, and for such sensitive heart growing up in the underground, planting the seeds of a relationship and nurturing it is not an easy task). Levi and Hange had that superpower that allowed them to unravel whatever the other one was thinking or feeling without using words, and to reach that point there must be a high level of intimacy.

So yes, they were more than friends, life partners, I'd say.

For Levi being so soft with them in THAT scene—for someone like him who tucks his true feelings in the farthest corner of his heart — and let those words out, just imagine all the love, respect, and admiration he holds for Hange.
