I know episode 7 is already sad enough but…

When Charles asks Edwin why he doesn’t fall through the floor and Edwin says he won’t waste Charles time by listing them.

It makes me think Edwin had probably been told he’s boring people when he was alive for talking about things he’s interested in.

I wonder how long it took for him to realise he could ramble on for hours and Charles would listen intently to every word.

So in episode 2 Edwin tells Charles he was taken off guard when the cat king whispered in his ear.

In episode 6 Edwin comes out to Charles and Charles figures out that the cat king was flirting with Edwin.

In episode 7 Edwin tells Charles he’s in love with him.

And then in episode 8, Charles leans in and whispers ‘my smile is pretty convincing’ into Edwin’s ear.

so it's this TV show on Netfix!! It follows these two dead ghosts (Edwin and Charles) and their detective agency, where they find ghosts with 'unfinished buissness' and help them move on to the afterlife instead of being ghosts

Each episode, there's a new case for them to solve, and it's really fun to watch them figure it out! plus the character dynamics are so..... OUGH

it's very violent in some cases, though, jsyk

it's eight episodes long, and unfortunately (netfix sucks btw) got cancelled so I'm pretty sure it's going to be the only season

When Edwin is lying on the table being tortured by Ester, you can see through the curtains that it’s daylight outside.

When Crystal and Niko arrive to save them it’s dark outside.

How long was Charles trying to escape. How long was Edwin being tortured for. How long was Charles listening to the torture. 😭

And Charles replying with “you be careful.”

I love how in episode 6 Charles is just so done with Crystal and Edwin’s arguing that he just lets them argue.

When they’re in the tall forest and Crystal and Edwin are arguing over why she didn’t tell them she lost her abilities.

Charles is just standing behind them tossing a stone between his hands and staring off into the distance.

Also Crystal imitating Edwin is youngest sibling behaviour, and Edwin saying “Firstly, I do not sound like that.” Is older sibling.

He’s not wearing his blazer!! Edwin seems to use his clothes as his armour and we only really see him without his blazer in a few scenes, including this one when he’s talking to Niko 🥰

We don’t talk enough about the fact that Edwin calls Charles ‘exceedingly charismatic’ in episode 5.

The definition of charismatic is ‘exercising a compelling charm which inspires devotion in others.’

So in episode 4 of dead boy detectives people are being lured into the water by loved ones voices.

Do we Charles and Edwin would hear each other’s voice?

I think they absolutely would.

I don’t think Charles would hear his parents voices for obvious reasons. And I doubt Edwin would hear his parents voices as they likely didn’t treat him well either.

Edwin could possibly hear Nikos voice but given that he’s I love with Charles I think that’s more likely.

Charles could potentially hear Crystals voice but he clearly has a deeper friendship with Edwin so I think it’s more likely he’d hear Edwin’s voice.

Crystal hears her mums voice in the episode, but Niko doesn’t hear a voice. If she were to hear a voice I like to think it would be her dads voice. If not then I think she would hear her mum’s or Edwin’s.
