I wanted to share this client testimonial because so often many of us hesitate to be photographed, but the truth is that we all have something to share, and each one of us has beauty in us. I love seeing and capturing that beauty.
Margaret is a talented painter living in Providence, Rhode Island.
“I never thought I’d hire a professional photographer. I thought that was for someone else, someone with a more important business, someone better looking or with a more interesting story to tell.   I was fortunate to meet Stephanie socially and learn about her work over time. I loved her photographs. The Broad Street project in particular caught my eye. I saw that she finds the world beautiful and interesting just exactly as it is, and reveals that in her photos. One day, while hearing her speak about how much she loves to observe, it hit me like a ton of bricks: She could photograph me. Just as I am. And the photos would be interesting and beautiful because she would be telling a true story through her loving eyes. I love the photos she took. They illuminate parts of my painting process that most people don’t see. They are excellent tools to show other people what my business is. I invited her to photograph my painting classes, a place where it’s not only my vulnerability in front of the camera, but that of my students as well. Stephanie is so gentle, she unobtrusively became part of the fabric of our group. Because of her relaxed, friendly attitude she fit right in. It boosts my confidence to have these gorgeous pictures of me doing what I love to do. Stephanie is dedicated to observation. Her photographs are a genuine reflection of their subject seen through fascinated eyes. Because of this dedication to capturing what is truly there, her work has unshakeable beauty.”
