Centuries ago you sought a cure, and a witch possessed of dark magic promised you your resolution. With the secrets of the necronomicon in hand they imbued your old body with life once again, haunting your mind with memories of the Inferno, memories of fire and damnation that your psyche was quick to suppress. Not quite the human you’d been in life, but neither could you walk among the vampires as one of their own. Your existence spared the rumors of a cure and so you fled, never living in one place for long before you’d move onto the next. Terror they came to call you, as if you’d known that this was what you’d ultimately become. Late nights spent sleepless as you dreamt of the hell your eternal soul had escaped from, hard days that ground and wore down the immortal body that had been given life once more. If you were to live a normal life then why did all those around you continue to age while you did not? Family came and family went, dhampir your children were called, a name that suited them as they hugged the border between mortal and eternal. You hoped for a place to start over, so to Rome you aimed to once more start again.

On the squalid, smoke-filled, streets of Gotham City, everyone fends for themselves and you can never trust those closest to you. Those at the top stay there through ruthlessness and fear, and those at the bottom are always looking for ways to rise. Bloodshed and violence are daily occurrences, and the G.C.P.D. are constantly fighting a losing battle against the waves of crime and corruption that never stop coming. Those who aren’t on the take themselves, that is. In this city, staying on the right side of the moral compass and keeping your mind intact is no mean feat. But there are a few good people fighting against the seemingly endless tide of darkness and villainy spewing from the streets of Gotham. Some folks recall the good work of Thomas and Martha Wayne, and hope that their son Bruce can turn things around for the city. Others put their faith in Jim Gordon and Harvey Bullock, and the boys in blue at the Gotham City Police Department. But most people think there’s no saving this city. Some people even think it should be razed to the ground. Whether you’re a hero or a villain, or something in between, life in Gotham is tough. But maybe, some day, things can change.

SUMMARY: gothamstreetshq is an appless DC RP set in Gotham, drawing inspiration from Fox's Gotham, Joker (2019), and The Batman (2022). With a blend of inspirations from TV, comic, and movie iterations of the Batman universe and other DC properties, we aim to create a friendly, old-school, vibe with plot drops, events, and writing tasks.

sure thing friend . i answered a similar question right here so check that out for more options . they could be famous for their connection to the max adams case : their parent(s) were on his defense team , their family is still trying to get max adams out of jail / are firm believers that he is right and money is the root of all evil , they could even be related to max adams or one of his many victims . other things they could be famous for are : owning an airline , being a well known tattooer , being an artist or art collector or the owners of a massive gallery / museum, own a major corporation ( coca cola , target , kroger , nokia , lamborghini ) they could be stock brokers , owners of a massive commercial / advertising company , own a massive construction company , be investment bankers , having run a giant ponsy scheme or stealing a massive amount of money , even just have wealth that's been apart of their life for so long that nobody really remembers where it came from , they could simply be famous for being rich and well dressed . if you need more ideas feel free to come back .

THE PLOT

Neville Longbottom was the chosen one. An infant fated to hold a legacy of either triumph or tragedy. Plucked from his crib after a valiant battle, Neville’s life was ended – and with it, the desperate hope that Voldemort might be defeated. Three years on, a war still wages. Voldemort and his followers perpetuate violence in many ways, having infiltrated the Ministry of Magic and instituted a muggleborn registry. Those deemed in opposition to his authority are at risk of interrogation, imprisonment, or worse. And the opposition is splintered. Vigilantes take to the streets to protest with violence, believing there is no other option. But the Order of the Phoenix harbors a secret, brought to them by a disillusioned Regulus Black. They know of the horcruxes, and will do anything they can to locate and destroy them. It’s 1984 in London, and we are in the midst of a perilous battle.

Every child looks at the world with a naive ignorance, that nothing could ever go wrong, that people were happy, always told the truth, and did the right thing by others. That’s how you were raised, a family of witches with both values and power. All children grow up but your maturity came too young, you lost the person that mattered most to you and at the same time ended up losing yourself. Wavering footsteps that delivered one in front of the other, you didn’t know where you’d end up but Rome was never part of the plan. Where others turned to the dark for power you never had to, your family raised you better than that, and you were powerful enough in your own right that you didn’t have to concern yourself with making deals with devils or whatever else. Amaranthus became your home, the place where they’d challenge you, push you, and you thrived off of it. You ventured into the Otherworld and slayed a hellhound, eager to pass your initiation and join a new coven with a new family. Childhood naivety behind you, you saw the shadows in Rome for what they were, a new enemy around every corner, another reason to sharpen yourself into a blade. Sometimes the enemies were the ones under your own roof, other times they looked just like you: witches who needed to be brought to heel before they could do more harm than good. They trained you, and when you rose in the eyes of the sovereign it was as a watcher for the Amaranthus, a marshal of the senate.
