The New York City living room of collector and co-founding partner of Pace Gallery, Fred Mueller, as photographed by Billy Cunningham for Architectural Digest, June 1982. "The aesthetic and spiritual link between Oriental antiques and contemporary American art is the motif of the collections Fred Mueller has assembled in his New York apartment." He had loose fitting metallic slip covers made in shades of smoky lavender for the lounge chairs, which brings to mind Syrie Maugham.
