this is an appleshy nextgen, her name is Pollen Dust, she uses she/her pronouns (for now idk), and i love her :)

i tend to make a lot of nextgens bc it's easier for me to take two horses and make a new one than it is to create a character from scratch, y'know?

anyway, yes, Pollen Dust - i don't know much about her rn other than that she's just the most whimsical bitch yet is still down-to-earth, and her talent is growing flowers & keeping bees (i see them as two prongs of the same talent, that being pollination).

also, the family nickname was inspired by my alternate name ideas for her, "briar rose" and "bramble patch." i decided to work it in as a nickname, "briar/bramble baby." the idea is that she's always been very curious, so as a young filly, she'd sometimes wander (/stumble) into densely planted areas and come out looking absolutely mangy, and fluttershy would say "ohhh, it's the bramble baby!" in a dramatic silly voice, which would make Dusty giggle.

Dustin is not a biological Duck. He was adopted by Donald and Dasiy when he was a baby. He happened to be the same age as their daughter Delia. They were raised as twins even though they were very clearly different. Delia was hot-headed while Dusty was always calm. But they were both close to the other. Inseparable almost but Dusty liked to travel and he found that he enjoyed discovering things and meeting new people. 

It’s how he met Claire Teague. He was oblivious at first but she was great and he found that he was always looking for her out in the wild of national parks. One thing led to another and Dusty Duck was smitten and in love. Before long, he was also a father to Dahlia Duck. It was a little difficult at first but traveling and seeing the world with his girls was turning into the best adventure of his life.

But now, his sister accepted the immortality that came with the Duck clan, he also had the choice but he was torn.  He couldn’t imagine a life without his little family but he also didn’t want his sister to be alone.

◈Describe your character; How do you see your character in your own eyes and not based off the bio. How have you developed this character into your own?

There is so much depth to Francesco that people lack to understand or even see. He is older, has pretty much everything and can come across like an asshole. That’s not his fault! Behind the front he puts up, there is a man who is still searching for himself. Growing up in the shadow of his brother and then watching his own brother struggle through his own realization of not being able to race has really left a lasting impression on him. He always aims to please the people that are in his life. Which is sad because his own father hates him. Fran tends to mask away from his feelings, pushing them in and not letting them show which makes him seem like he has everything under control. Oh man. I always say that Francesco is his own person. I know, I know. It sounds crazy, but he has taken a life of his own I swear.

◈What’s your favorite thing about your character? what’s your least favorite?

This is a hard question because there are so many things that I LOVE!! For once, his sassiness / honestly. He doesn’t care what people think of him and is not scared of saying whats in his mind. EVEN if it’s not sooo nice ha. That’s just who he is. The other thing I love is the fact that he can be one of most loyal friend you can ask for. HE WOULD STAND by you through thick or thin. And if he had too he would fight your battles.

Least favorite? Well, his impulsiveness which can be both a  good & bad thing. He really needs to think things through before doing them XD because that shit is gonna get him in deep ass trouble.

◈What are some of your favorite relationships your character has formed? (Friendships, relationships, yada ya)

I haven’t had enough time to form deep relationships.  BUT So far.

Lightning: Of course! You all knew I was gonna mention him, but he makes Fran want to better himself and that’s all I want for this baby. The fact that he is willing to be selfless around this guy should say something.

Dodger: It’s funny because of all the people that have spoken to Fran, only a handful of people have understood that Fran is NOT from the US & has a hard time understanding the slang. Yet! Dodger takes his time to explain things to him and I think that such a nice thing to do so BLESS! Shit, they are friends forever because of that ha!

Eve: Drinking Buddies turn Friends.  Although I haven’t had the pleasure of developing their friendship fully. These two are soooooo alike! ;) I can not wait to see where they go.

◈Has your character changed you in any way? Or do you yourself in yourself in your character?

I see so much of Francesco in me that it’s not even funny. The family issues he has to face is something I’ve kinda gone through. Those who know the story can tell you that it wasn’t an easy upbringing for me.  I don’t have many friends in real life and I don’t even try to make any new friends because, I guess I don’t want that connection, Or maybe I have a deep-rooted fear of getting hurt? who knows. Fran would say something like “I don’t need friends, they are pointless” but at the same time feel lonely and go on with his day. And that’s me ha. It is hard to let people in my life, but those I do let in end up becoming my world. Fran is the same. In my eyes, he is far from perfect, but it is in those imperfections that have allowed me to take a second look at my life and maybe try a little harder.  Fran has brought back my love for roleplaying right when I start to forget. He motives and inspires me and that is something I am very thankful for.

◈Do you think your character has had a big impact on Walt? Is it a good impact or bad?

No, not really. Francesco isn’t anyone of importance to impact Walt in any way. Not to mention that I haven’t been here long enough to do so ha! Of course, in his mind, he is very important. My only hope is that in opening himself to the idea of friendships he in returns can help those who need it. If that makes any sense lol.

◈Favorite thing your character has done and worst

Worst: I can’t think of anything aside from pushing people away. Damn you FRAN!

Favorite thing: Being an understanding Friend to Lightning and helping him through his own set of issues.

◈What is some progress you hope to have with your character in the future?

I just want him to be a better person that’s all.

◈What is one thing you would tell your character?

Just continue being you. Don’t let people fill you with doubt and most importantly open your heart. It’s ok to have friends, not everyone is going to hurt you. Don’t let your past define your future. You are loved <3

◈What has been YOUR favorite thing about Walt?

Y’all know I am old as heck! I’ve been roleplaying since I was 12-ish and let’s just say I am not a teenager anymore. Walt was there after I had Damian and was going through some hard times. It has always been a pleasant outlet filled with loving people who care for one another. Although I’ve only been back for close to a month, it fills like there are many of us who don’t feel included or left out and in doing so there is almost a division in the group. I love Walt with all my heart and coming back was not a hard choice, my only hope is that we all become united.

◈Has your experience been a positive one? (BE HONEST YO.)

Kinda!! Francesco is Francesco and I feel that him being himself can be a turn off to some people. Maybe it’s his overdramatic personality  :/ STILL! I want him to have friends and SHIT! I know I know! I shouldn’t complain but that’s how I feel. And it’s sad. But I HAVE HOPE!

Dusty put the bag down on the table because he knew he’d get an earful if he left it on the floor. Claire had gone to see her family so he’d meet up with her later but he needed to see his sister first. “Delia! I’m hooooome.” He loved his echo in this house. It was weird the things that reminded him of home.

Dusty loved grocery shopping. It was odd, yes, but something about wandering down the isles and picking out all the things his family needs. It wasn’t often he got a grocery store since her and Claire often stayed away from ‘civilization’ since they loved to explore. 

He walked into their apartment with arms full of bags and only half of it was unnecessary. He did enjoy being in town near both their families. 

“Babe, I’m home.” It felt surreal sometimes when he said that. In this apartment were his two reasons for living and nothing would ever feel that good.

living part-time in elias had it’s perks. their family was there so when she could claire would use them as a babysitter. because when they’re not around she doesn’t get to enjoy enough alone time with her beloved. she was so giddy because daisy agreed to watch dahlia for them to go out. which was going to be a surprise for dusty. not that they couldn’t go places with dahlia but they took her most everywhere and claire thought it’d be nice to be just them. 

when dusty walked into the door claire dawned a mischievous grin, trying hard to keep the secret but it wasn’t working. “hey babe!! how was your day?” she asked, walking over and pulling him into a hug. “i am about to make it even better... i may or may not have sent out little one to her gigi’s... so we could go to the fall festival on a little date?” she said biting her bottom lip nervously. how was it she was still nervous and had butterflies?   ( @whyioughta​ )
