Next Gen Note-taking?

Anyone else using Roam Research or similar?

Really interested to learn from people who have adopted a Roam like system, then abandoned it. Does it scale? Do you get an ROI? Why did you abandon it?

I've only recently discovered this way of taking notes. Up until last week, I had kept a daily note/dev diary, to track my work, in a markdown format.

Because of this i've gravitated towards Obsidian.md, which seems fantastic. I really like how the data is just markdown and stored locally. I'm still in the early days however.

I will probably create a longer blog post (or perhaps series) on this topic - its becoming quite the obsession.
