How I like to describe Cybertronians:

apex predators, living war machines, space guardians, walking weapon arsenals

I’m not trying to be pedantic since, by definition, they’re technically correct.

However, “techno-organic” doesn’t quite fit what I’m thinking of when I look at the planet.

It’s a subjective preference thing—not an “I’m objectively right” thing.

Upcoming Changes

Next week, I’ll be stepping back from the TF fandom.

I’m making some drastic changes in my personal life, and this means I need to cut down on my time in the fandom. A lot.

As for what stepping back will look like, I’ll have to feel it out and try a few things until I find what works.

I don’t plan on staying away/disappearing completely.

I’ll delete the app from my phone and access Tumblr through a browser a few times a week, or when I have free time. I’ll keep the queue full, and it’ll publish a few times a day. You’ll still see me around when I like and collect posts for my queue, slowly answer the old asks I’ve let pile up, and maybe make a post every now and then (i.e. clear out my very-full idea “folders”).

I’m not sure when I’ll be back back. It could be 6 months, or it could be a few years. I’ll have to see how things go.

In the meantime, between now and the end of the month, I’ll reblog some of the ask games I’ve had saved in my drafts. I want to have a bit of fun before I close my inbox and restrict my DMs to mutuals only.

On February 1st, I’ll publish a post with more details about my plans moving forward.

I can tell when someone on here is having a Senator Shockwave phase because the tag isn’t very full, and I’ll get a string of notifications hitting a bunch of my Senator posts all at once. lol

This happens at least once every two weeks.

Chris McFeely and his videos are a lifesaver to this fandom, but I’m gonna need more than “The Basics on [character].”

I’m working on Whirl headcanons, and I just realized something:

Out of the beloved oddball trio (Whirl, Cyclonus, and Tailgate), Whirl is the youngest. Yes, Tailgate has the least experience, but his body is still old (even with Cyclonus’ spark charge).

Whirl has a lot more years left than both of them. And a whole lot more spite.

I’ve posted a lot of Soundwave gifs, and the Tumblr gif library collects them and files them under “TFP Soundwave” for others to use.

I keep those notifications on because, occasionally, someone will use one in a Soundwave post that I find interesting.

But with this being a website that humans use, most of the time, when I get a notification that one of my gifs has been used, it’s for some kind of thirst post, reader x bot headcanon set, or self-ship post. 💀

It’s gotten to the point where, every time I get one of those notifications, I prepare myself to see something that’ll make me want to leave the planet.

As always, people are free to do what they want…but I’m still gonna be over here like, “…that is not my blorbo. Get a room.”

This isn’t to complain complain, of course. I’m fully aware I have the power to stop it at any moment.

But since l’ve discovered some gems through the gif notifications, I’ve chosen to put up with the distasteful majority in order to avoid missing out on the good ones.

Plus, I think of it as useful data to collect for a story where Soundwave and the others inevitably discover this sort of thing. They all find out that, amongst other things, humans are good at two things in particular:

pack bonding with non-human objects

thirsting after non-human creatures

Last week, this post made it to my dash, and it reminded me of the experience I had a little over a week ago:

I woke up early in the morning with sleep paralysis, and in the middle of my twilight sleep panic, SOUNDWAVE showed up.

I’m dead serious—I remember him looking at me, and he didn’t have his visor on, so I immediately recognized him as my Soundwave.

And he proceeded to TELL me what to say to break the paralysis.

​I don’t remember exactly what he told me, and I chalk that up to my disorientation because Hello??? Soundwave is here????? Talking to me???

But I remember being desperate, and I wasn’t about to say no to Soundwave. lol

So I said the words as loudly as I could in my head, and within seconds, I was free.

It was…an experience, to say the least.

I’m still lowkey freaked out that it happened…but you know what? I’m glad The Blorbo in my head is finally paying rent. It took him long enough. zhdhfkgk
