A classic trope! Nightowl is stuck with an absolutely wasted mc after a night of drinking. How would he handle that situation?
Fuck. Me.
You're walking back at night -- or moreso, trying to walk back home. You're leaning heavily against your best friend, laughing and jeering and totally ignorant to the red hue on the tips of his ears.
"Whaaaaaaaaaat, come on!! Why not? They were totally into you!!"
Nightowl grabs your arm as you stumble over your own feet and sighs. "For the millionth time, I wasn't interested in them!"
You roll your eyes. "I have no idea why. They were fucking gorgeous."
"So how about you ask them out, then?"
"Mmmmmmmmmmaybe I will!!"
You giggle and lean your head against his shoulder. It is not easy to walk with your head on his shoulder, but Owl is not about to stop this from happening. His heart picks up a bit as you intertwine your hand with his and lift it to look at his nails.
"Chipping."
"H-huh?"
"Nail polish. Chipping."
"Oh." He extends his fingers a bit and nods. "You're right."
"Is that why you dint wanna talk to themmmm? Embarrassed?" You scoff and shove yourself off of him. "I mean I would be embarrassed tooooo."
"Oh, fuck you."
You laugh and Nightowl wishes he could bottle that sound.
"You. You have to not say that. Like that."
"Say what?"
"'Fuck you'. Don't say that."
Nightowl nudges your shoulder affectionately before placing a hand on your lower back to keep you steady as you walked. "Sorry. I'm joking."
"GaaaaaaHHHHHHHHH THAAAAT's THE PROBLEM!!!" Before he can blink, you've grabbed his shirt collar and yanked him in so his nose bumps yours.
"H-hey-!"
"So you don't like them." You take a step forward and Nightowl is forced to take a step back in response. "You don't ever like anyone."
You keep walking until Nightowl's back is forced up against a wall, just outside of the streetlight. He swallows as his gaze flits between the two of your lidded eyes. "What's wrong with that?"
"So who is it?? Why aren't you dating around anymore, huh?? WHO IS ITTTTTTT????" You whine and shake him drunkenly.
He takes your wrists in his hands to stop you and you let go of his shirt with a whine. "What are you getting at? I'm able to not date, you know?" He's trying to keep his voice even and steady, and he really hopes you're too drunk to notice the number you're doing on him.
You scrunch your face up and wrench your hands free. "Nothing. Ugh!"
You stomp over towards the street and Nightowl moves to follow you but you hold your hand up and shake your head as you walk.
"No. I'm gonna throw up. Vom time."
"Ah."
He watches as you bend over the street and release an entire night of bad decisions into the gutter.
Ah, yep. That's the one.

Having someone be aware of a secret isn’t always a bad thing. It can sometimes be a relief even, the knowledge that someone else knows. That you’re not on your own anymore. That there’s someone to talk to.
Chapter 09 - You Seem Happy, 2477 words
The walk back to the Monastery was pleasant that morning, even though they were a little later getting away from the studio than Cole would have personally liked. A full conversation with Chamille when the studio announced it was time to clear out for closing about actually organising a day to meet up with the other elemental masters; because there really didn't need to be a world ending disaster as an excuse to be in the same place at once. Then Lloyd and her had gotten to talking whilst Cole had excused himself to clean off in the bathroom; well that resulted in them leaving as the sun was cresting over the horizon line, more than an hour behind when he usually left.
Lloyd could really talk sometimes.
Yet it had been a relaxed silence since they'd set off. Cole was in a clean set of clothes, with a hoodie over the top to keep the morning chill away. The grass that sprung up at the side of the path was dusted with a light frost and a thin mist hung low over the lands.
He took in a deep breath, enjoying the cool sensation that was brought with it.
Then Lloyd turned to him, poised as if he was about to break the silence that had settled, which he promptly did, "So, that was fun." He grinned, shoving his hands into his pockets which didn't hinder the bounce in his step. "I mean, dancing is one thing, but you and Chamille not even having a plan?"
"Free-styling." Cole provided casually.
"Free-styling. And a random song too, it was brutal giving you opera music, I mean, how do you even dance to that? Then you and Chamille were just like," Lloyd made a half-attempt at doing the robot, with an elaborated, "Woosh!"
"And then, then Chamille was all like," An arm wave, a pretty good one if Cole's eyebrows shooting up was anything to go by. Though he just carried on watching the scene with a small smile, and the fact that Lloyd was basically dancing down the single dirt road that led back to the Monastery. It was a long trip, but he had a feeling it would go fast.
"And then you were--"
"Lloyd," Cole interrupted quickly, placing a hand onto his shoulder, "You haven't slept all night, you're getting your second wind. Take a breath."
Lloyd paused and did as he was told, though he was still smiling far too much for that hour of the morning.
"You were so cool!"
He'd said that multiple times already, and Cole was starting to believe it.
"You can't tell anyone." He added after a short second and maybe half a block down the path.
Lloyd kicked a pebble in his way, before nodding his understanding. He brushed some hair back from his face, "I know, I know. You said so earlier."
Even then, with that vein of conversation at a resolute end, Lloyd still looked like he had something to say. Cole tilted his head, "What?"
"I'm not shocked you got into Marty's."
That was a bit off track, Cole rubbed the back of his neck in embarrassment.
"Yeah, well--"
"You've been sneaking out for a while, haven't you?"
There it was, the supposed crux of the conversation. Abrupt, but sort of expected if he was being honest. If he took into account the clear worry that everyone had expressed, it was obvious that this talk was going to turn into an insightful one-to-one.
There wasn't much point in lying anymore, so Cole simply nodded, "a couple months."
He didn't miss Lloyd's wince, "Have you even been sleeping?"
"Big talk coming from the guy who knows I've been sneaking out, staying up and spying?"
Lloyd's eyes widened, then he schooled his expression and fixed his gaze on the path ahead. They'd get to a woodland soon, and then the base of a far too long staircase, then home.
"Don't try and change the subject, Cole."
There was a nervous laugh, and he was more than content to let everything go back to silence again. Just the sound of crunching gravel beneath their feet and the intermittent noise of bones popping as Cole went through his joints to help release any pressure, but eventually the evasion tactic wore out, and he relented. "It started because I wasn't sleeping." He explained losely, "Or like, when I went to sleep all I had was nightmares."
There, he'd said it.
Lloyd seemed to falter in his walk, almost drawing to a full stop as he watched and listened with far too much maturity for someone his age, and too much focus for someone who was wide awake at near six in the morning.
He was going to crash so hard around lunch time, Cole could tell a mile off.
Yet this time, the silence was a physical feeling. Cole had finished making his point, it wasn't in depth, but it was there. Yet Lloyd's staring just brought more words to the surface, "Of, you know, when I fell from the Bounty."
There's a pregnant pause, and Cole cleared a lump from his throat.
"It's all I could think about and I would just wake up panicking--"
"Why didn't you tell anyone?" Lloyd questioned, with concern lacing his voice.
Cole just brushed it off, but the worry was warranted. If it was anyone of his family in the same situation he was in, he'd be worried for them too. Maybe that was a testament to what they were actually feeling in that moment. He would feel hurt if someone kept something like this from him, since Cole knew he could help in some way. "A walk fixed it, I didn't want to annoy anyone."
"Cole, it's not annoying if you need help. We're all here to help you with whatever problems you have. That's what family's for."
Cole shrugged, smiled, then focused his attention on some of the neon orange paint stuck under his nails. He picked at that, stared at it.
"I know that." he whispered. Of course he knew that, he knew that he could have turned to anyone and asked for help, or just someone to talk to and have them listen. Even Jay would have taken the situation seriously, he wasn't always so immature. Cole had to give him some credit. "I just… Found something that made me forget about my problems. At Nightowls, I have, like, a life." He paused, considering how that sounded, "Not that I don't have one at the Monastery, with you guys, but--"
"It's something normal." Lloyd said. Hit the nail on the head.
Yes.
Cole laughed, and nodded, "Yeah. I've never had that. My dad's a famous singer, I was expected to follow in his footsteps in some way, I went to Marty's and then I ran away, then I became a Ninja." his life, summed up. In a way, everyone's lives paralleled that in some way. Particularly the one he was talking to in that moment.
Feeling as though they had to follow in their father's footsteps only to realise that they had their own lives to live, even if it was vastly different from what had been envisioned for them.
"You were really good, though."
Cole laughs.
"You were, though. You seemed so… Relaxed."
Cole draped one arm over Lloyd's shoulder and pulled him into a sideways hug, which dissolved into him ruffling the younger ninja's hair to within an inch of its life. "Do I not normally look relaxed?"
"No," Lloyd managed out in the midst of batting at Cole's hand and arm until he was released, at which point he moved over to the safety of the other side of the path. Not that Cole couldn't reach him from where he was situated, "recently you've looked tired." He sighed, then his voice dipped in volume, and he just sounded that bit more worried, "We've all noticed, you know? We knew something was bothering you." Lloyd admitted slowly, then "We just… Wanted to wait for you to bring it up."
At that point, Cole realised that him bringing the issue up would have probably never happened by his own choice. He'd planned to, that first night. Then he just hadn't.
They eventually made it into the woodland, sunlight moving through the gaps in the canopy crafted by crown shyness, leaves dusting the road.
"How're the nightmares now?" Lloyd's voice was loud amongst silence.
Cole ran a hand through his hair, "Honestly, better." He admitted, then paused, "Actually, I haven't had one recently, I didn't realise that."
Lloyd smiled, "Because you've been distracted by sneaking away and having fun."
"I mean, yeah, technically I have." He smiled, "I've been spending days training and nights dancing, truly I am living a double life."
They both shared a laugh.
"I mean, you're basically a dance vigilante with that mask."
Cole gave Lloyd a deadpan expression, "Never say those words together again."
Lloyd smirked, "Ninja by day,"
"Lloyd--"
"Dancer by night."
"I swear to the First--"
Lloyd quickly moved forwards and plucked Cole's mask from his belt, then pulled it on himself. There was a bit of adjusting, and the elastic was a little too large, but he got it comfortably sat on his nose at least.
In the light of day, it was a funny sight. Lloyd, entirely dressed in green with a bright orange mask on that was definitely not as impressive as it was in the dark.
"This is uncomfortable." He said after a moment.
Cole just nodded, "It hurts the ears."
Lloyd took it off and stared at it, "It hurts the nose too. I don't know how you wear this and dance, you could have put some cushioning in it."
"I don't notice it when I'm dancing."
"A dragon would have been cooler, and it would have made sense."
Cole took the mask out of Lloyd's hands and held it to his chest, "Wow, I know when my talents aren't appreciated." He smirked, "Besides, it's sort of a joke. Deception, no one knows who I am underneath--"
"And no one knows what you do when you sneak out."
He just blanked that quip, "And wearing the face of a species that was nearly responsible for my death is sorta cathartic. I wear it and I have fun."
"You looked like you were loving it."
Cole grinned, "Yeah. I never thought I'd dance again, to be honest. Not like that."
They finally reached the stairs up to the Monastery and the sun was a lot higher than he would have liked. If it was early, they could sneak in and everyone would be none the wiser. Any time after six was when their absence would be noticed.
So reaching the top of the stairs would end in an interrogation and questioning, most likely. Cole hoped not.
Lloyd started on the stairs first, but as far as Cole was concerned they were always the worst part of the night. It was easier to go down them.
"So, planning on sneaking out again tonight?" the younger ninja asked as they began the climb.
"I don't know, maybe?" He'd probably give it a rest for a day or so. His sleep was nowhere close to being fixed, but he knew that if he managed to stay awake for the rest of the day, there was no way he could pull another all-nighter. He did it once, and regretted his decision immensely.
Also, he knew what Lloyd was actually asking about, "To be honest, I'll probably sleep tonight and go tomorrow. Why, you want to tag along again?"
The silence that followed was an answer in itself, and Cole just laughed, "You're sleeping tonight too. If Sensei Wu doesn't have my neck for you being up most of the night, then I know Kai will."
"Why would they blame you?"
"Because I'm the one in charge." Cole spread his heads as if it was obvious.
"And it's not like they would know I've been awake all night."
"You're starting to look like you've been dragged through the Boiling Sea backwards and then faced off against Sensei Wu's chicken. You look tired."
"Touché."
As they neared the top of the stairs, Cole began fiddling with the mask of the strap. He had all his old clothes in a bag over his shoulder but it was already pretty full to begin with, and he didn't have the heart to try and push the mask in too.
Which left him resorting to holding it subtly behind his back, using the bagginess of the back of his hoodie to shield it from view as they stepped through the gates and into the monastery.
Into the middle of morning training. They were so going to get found out, Cole was so going to get busted for what he'd been doing. Lloyd was going to slip up, it was obvious.
Even as Kai walked over, sword sheathed over his back and spiked hair drooping from exertion, his cut eyebrow was raised and his gaze far too analytical.
He had been doing so well, too. He could already feel his heart rate picking up, but externally he forced himself to keep his cool, "Hey, sorry we’re late."
"You guys didn't even leave a note.” Was the immediate response, and it was tense, “It's one thing Cole not being here and not telling us, but both of you?" Kai questioned, and the speed of which his hands were moving was an indication of emotion that he was trying to keep in check.
Cole winced lightly, "Yeah, sorry. I didn't think, my bad. We were just--"
Lloyd quickly stepped forwards and gave a slight smile, which seemed to quickly sway Kai's mood in a second. Big brother instincts, they could dial back just as fast as they surfaced.
"We just went on a walk, spoke a little." He looked back at Cole and grinned. "I should have written a note but I didn't. We sort of… Just needed to get out for a bit."
He was covering, Cole realised. He'd probably been thinking of an excuse for the whole walk. Something he'd forgotten to even do.
He had to force himself to not look impressed as the words rolled easily from Lloyd's lips. Even he believed them, and he knew the truth.
Kai seemed to cool down, and looked at Cole, "Are you okay?"
He let out a breath, and nodded, "I am now. The walk was good. I'm all good."
"Good." Kai nodded, then added, "You know we're all here to talk to if you need it."
Cole just gave a light laugh and nodded, carefully keeping the mask situated behind his back, "Yeah. Yeah, I know. Thanks, you guys. That means a load."
He looked at Lloyd.
"Thank you."

Prompt: Junkrat finds out Symmetra likes fireworks
(Sorry this took me so long! I had to swish around a few ideas! I hope you enjoy this!)
It was a cold evening. Satya sat on the ledge of the window, inside of the Gibraltar Base’s lonely and dark living room area. At least it served as a ‘living room’ when it wasn’t an old storage room.
Somewhere far off of the coast, a celebration was taking place, and fireworks were being set off. She held a mug of tea in her hands and took gentle sips as she watched them from far off.
Muffled steps, well, steps and some odd metal ‘clinks’, indicated someone was coming. She turned her attention to the door, and in clambered Junkrat. He was holding a bottle of water and a small notepad in one hand, and a music player in the other hand.
“Oh! Didn’t think I’d be ‘spectin’ company!” He said with a smile. “Neither did I,” she replied, not necessarily angry that her solitude was being interrupted, but more disappointed that now her motives would be questioned. Junkrat was always curious and he never usually intended to irritate her, but sometimes she really hated having to answer so many simple things, just to satiate his curiosity.
“What’re you up too?” he asked, as he set his things down upon the sofa. She raised the mug to her lips, cleared her mind as the tea warmed her, and let out a sigh, “I am observing some sort of celebration. It would seem that there is need for some rather lovely fireworks.” This peeked his attention. “Fireworks? I wanna see!” He excitedly moved over close to the window, catching a sight of one red burst that had set off. He giggled to himself, “They need some more! I’d give ‘em some to make their party a REAL blast!” Satya smirked, “I’m sure they’ve got it handled.” He turned to look at her, “I didn’t know you liked fireworks. I always took it that they were a bit too….I dunno…uh…not your thing?” She looked out at two small bursts of green and yellow, “I do not mind them. I know I come off as someone who does not enjoy much, but fireworks are definitely ‘my thing’. I know sometimes the noise from their explosions are rather loud, but it’s not something I can’t tolerate.”
To Satya’s surprise, they watched the end of the celebration in silence. Junkrat turned to his things on the couch after they confirmed that it was the end. She pushed off from the window’s ledge and decided to leave the room. Before she had time to escape the threshold, Junkrat called out to her. “Oi! Which colours do you think are the best?” She turned to face him, an eyebrow raised, “Do you mean from the fireworks?” He lay on the couch, the notepad open and upright on his stomach, held by his metal hand, and a pen in his flesh hand. “Nah, I mean like in general? My favourite colours are green and purple! Sometimes red’s good.” She stared at him for a moment and then folded her arms, carefully balancing the empty mug in her hand, “Well, I am quite partial to blue, but I enjoy all colours really. White and gold are nice. I do have to say that I am surprised that you enjoy purple.” He tilted his head to see her better from the notepad, “Yeah? Why’s that?” She dropped her arms and looked off, “It is just that it is-” ‘such a calm colour,’ is what she wanted to say, but she thought that saying that would possibly anger him, she didn’t know him that well yet. “It is..well, a cool colour compared to the colours you normally wear.” He chuckled as he scratched something onto his notepad, “Ha! Roadie says that too! He thinks it’s too ‘calm’ a colour for me to like.” At this Satya snickered, enjoying that the man’s own bodyguard had a similar thought to her own.
They bid each other a good evening, albeit she knew he probably wasn’t going to sleep for quite a while for he was known throughout the base as the resident Nightowl, next to D. Va and Mercy.
Some time had passed since this encounter. A mission or two had kept them from seeing each other for long periods of time.
One evening, in that very same living room, Satya gazed out of the window. She held her arms, nails digging into the soft knitting of her long sleeved blouse, wishing she could see something comforting like those fireworks again. The missions had given her quite a bit of stress and she was grateful for the break, but something to take her mind off of things would be much more enjoyable.
Then the familiar steps came into earshot. “There you are! Been trying t’find ya!” Junkrat hobbled into the room. She looked to him and took a few steps forward, “You were? What is it? Am I missing a meeting?” He shook his head and let out a small laugh, “No! But I wanted to show you somethin! We can see it here if y’like!” She looked around the room, not seeing anything out of the ordinary, all except for a detonator in his hand. Once she noticed it, she put up her hands, “Please Junkrat, I am not in any mood to see some sort of landmine demonstration.” “Pssssh no! Nothing like that! Trust me! Here! Stand right in front of the window and watch!” He moved over to the right and motioned to where she was standing moments ago. Hesitantly, she walked back to her spot and peered out of the window. He looked to her and the outside excitedly, “Y’ready?” She let out a long sigh and folded her arms again, “I suppose so.” He let out a laugh and pressed the trigger.
A loud whistle set off, followed by a familiar loud popping. Beautiful streams of gold and blue bursts forth in the evening sky. Satya gasped and dropped her hands. Another set of whistles and pops went off, revealing more colors, different sizes, and even different shapes. She didn’t know at the time, but a smile had formed upon her face. And she also didn’t know the look and smile the man next to her wore. He broke the silence after another pair of white and red fireworks went off, “So I can assume y’like it?” She stared out the window as she responded, “Oh, it is perfect.”
The private show caused a little stir from the rest of the base. Ana Amari was coming to check the living room area, only to enter the doorway from the left to see the two. As quietly as she came in, she left just as quietly to report that the fireworks was nothing to worry about. (But Junkrat would get an earful from Morrison in the morning).
As the fireworks came to a finale, Satya breathed in and took a seat on the sofa. She sighed and closed her eyes, “I truly needed that.” Junkrat came over and sat on the opposite end of the couch. She opened her eyes and looked to him, “Thank you for that. I was just thinking before you came in how I’d love to see fireworks again.” He played with the detonator in his hand, “Yeah? Well I’m glad I had them ready for you! Been meaning t’show you them, but we had to go on all those missions. Was hard settin’ all this up in what little time there was between ‘em.” She jerked her head, “You have been setting these up for almost a month?” He had his arm over the top of the couch and pulled it off to rest his elbows on his knees, “Well…yeah. I mean, I had some leftover from when I was in China one time, but I made some more! I love fireworks m’self and it’s hard to find other people who like ‘em too! So when you were here that one time, I figured I could show you! Plus, seeing how happy they made you, guess I should make more, yeah?” She laughed in her throat, “If you would like to! But this, it was sweet of you, thank you.” She turned her attention away, not noticing the slight trace of pink that started to show up on the man’s face. She sighed once more and stood, “Well, now I must think of a way to thank you properly. hmmm….I think there is a place that has that drink you like somewhere off of the coast.” He straightened up, “Wuh? I mean…y’don’t have to…” She stood up straight, “I insist. You went out of your way to do this, I would like to repay you. Let me know when you would like to go and I will work it into my schedule.” Sitting there with his mouth agape, he tried to find his words, “I-uh-well-uh-sure…sure thing?” She smiled and turned away. As she left the room, she said, “Good. It is a date then.” His eyes bulged, “WHAT?” It came out more of a squeak than his regular voice. “Good night Junkrat!” she called out. She walked away to her room, leaving a very panicked, flushed red, Junkrat on the living room couch.

omg parents meme for aurora and walden pls
who’s the one to wake up the kids:
Walden... Uh, hello! Aurora’s classes START at midnight. She is not going to wake up early enough to get other people awake. Walden does it because he’s already awake. Also like, they’re not going to be raising lazy kids, so once they reach a certain age you bet your ass their kids will be getting up on their own.
who makes the breakfast:
Neither...  Aurora sadly never got a knack for cooking and well, Walden can survive on his own and that’s about it. I don’t think Aurora lets them get a chef or anything, not with Walden’s money habits, so I imagine theres a lot of cereal going around the breakfast table.
who’s the one to cry for everything:
Aurora... But she does it very secretly or quietly at least. Having a child seems to have triggered something in her brain, but she doesn’t want anyone else to know that. Also Walden totally cried when the kid was born, but that can be their little secret.
who’s the more discipline parent and who’s the more lenient one:
TBH... They’re actually very balanced. Both a little disciplined and both lenient when it comes to different things. Somehow it works? I mean, their kids probably thing they’re both hard-asses, but they’re really not too strict or too lenient with their kids. They’re parents.
who helps with the potions homework:
Aurora... She’s a professor! She’s just the obvious choice for homework help. Plus, she likes to tease Walden and remind him that she’s the smarter Ravenclaw. ‘Don’t go to your father for help, he has no idea what he’s talking about.’
who does baby talk:
Walden… Aurora would NEVER. Besides, Walden is way more enchanted by his kids than he would ever let on. Especially at the younger ages, they have him wrapped around his finger.
who wakes up for midnight feedings:
Aurora... She’s already awake being the nightowl that she is. She’s nice enough to let Walden sleep while she deals with the feeding and the burping and the rocking and all of that fun stuff. Every now and then she’ll wake Walden up and ask him to do it, especially if he doesn’t work the next day, and by this point she knows how to be convincing.
who’s the one who always worries:
Aurora... I think she brushed up on some medical spells when she found out she was pregnant. In addition to that, she always has a first aid kit at hand. She just worries. Like, they first time her child is on a toy broom, she’s probably watching like a hawk and biting her nails into nothing and Walden has to hold her hand to stop that terrible habit. She just can’t lose anymore family.
who picks up the kids early from school for some fun:
Walden... Again, Aurora would NEVER. School is so important to her and I almost feel like Walden taking kids out of school is like payback when they’re fighting. Like, it’s so not okay to use their children as pawns, but their relationship was never the healthiest. Still, he makes a good day out of it. He and the kids have so much fun and it’s some of their most treasured moments.
who’s the competitive parent:
Aurora... She was never really into Quidditch until her kids started playing. Then she got really into it. Provided the best brooms and equipment so they could have the best chance and is always there to cheer them on. The other Professors HATE when her kids are playing because she’s annoyingly loud.
who kisses the ouches:
Both... Aurora doesn’t see the point, so the kids started going to Walden for kisses and when that happened it was game over, so now they both kiss the ouchies. Double the kisses for double the healing power as they like to say.
who’s the sucker for the puppy eyes:
Walden... Honestly, it’s not so much him giving into the puppy eyes, even though that does happen sometimes, but it’s a lot of ‘oh my gosh stop looking at me like that!’
who makes the “dad jokes”:
Aurora… When she’s intoxicated, Aurora has some of the best puns and dad jokes. It’s really cringe-worthy, but the kinds think she’s hilarious and Walden is just trying to reign her back-in, but still about once a month Aurora has her mommy juice and becomes a stand up comedian.
who embarrassed their kid for fun:
Walden... He’s a devious little bastard and is very subtle about embarrassing his kids. It’s not the usual embarrassing dad stuff, but it’s small things. Aurora’s probably called him evil at least once in his fatherhood.
who’s the over protective one:
Walden... Surprisingly, he’s super protective, especially if they have a daughter. Plus, he’s already master the ‘dad-stare’ and will use that on any friend or significant other. ‘Oh you’re going to the Yule ball? Hands above the waist! But not too above! Got it you little bastard?” -dad stare- And stuff like that. No one is going to hurt his offspring, even if they are only halfbloods.
who’s the “take a sweater!” parent:
Aurora... She’s really good at telling her children what to do. Take a sweater is just the beginning of her bossy orders, but every knows just to say ‘yes ma’am’ and do as they’re told, cause if mom isn’t happy then no one is happy.

Guess i’ll put the date here
11/13/19
It’s been a while since i’ve written here.
Been in my head too much the last few days, and I just can’t bear it anymore. In person I try not say much but I usually just blow up and say everything on my mind. As far as current events go, i’m not ready to talk about those. I guess i’ll talk about the past.
I didn’t always live in Amurica. I was born in a small country. The nearest hospital from my hometown was a two hour drive away and the people of my town would only have tractors or motorcycles. No buses would pass through our town either. Most of the people before my generation would just have their kids in a barn or in their homes.
My Mom had to walk, nine months pregnant, to the nearest bus stop... which was a two day walk. I was born at three in the morning(which probably explains why i’m a nightowl). I don’t remember much, but what I was told was that my Dad came from three countries over to see me come in to this world.
My parents were only married for three years when they had me. My sister was born two years before me. We all lived in a garage sized hole in the wall. Our neighbors had a fancy old house and they let us stay in their shed thing. My grandparents and uncles immigrated to America so we then moved to their house. My first memories come from there.
It was a strange house, mostly made of cement. It had a garage, a little underground bar/wineary. Stairs that led to three doors. On the left it was a kitchen, bathroom, dining room and a balcony. On the top right it was a staircase that led to two bedrooms and a porch like room with big open windows. The bottom right door led to a hallway and a master bedroom.
Most of my time was spent in the left door area. I would drag my butt and hop around on it. Like a rabbit but with my butt. I’d crawl in to furniture and was always on the move. My cheeks were always a shade of rose and I was a jolly chubby little thing. My dad says that was the time where he loved me the most, probably the only time.
We didn’t have much, I had a little accordian and a single drum pad. I also had a Pink Panther doll, which I later brought to Amurica when I was around 13 years old. I’m sure one of my friends stole it or my mom threw it out cause “I was too old to have stuffed animals” My mom would sowe our clothing and make sweaters for us. My dad had been away working in another country, so he wasn’t around much.
My great grandma was around a lot and she had a doggy called Bocha-bocha. My great grandpa died around that time, my dad looked up to him heavily. In my hometown a lot of the people inhereted land from their families and my great grandpa had a lot of land. Most of the women would stay home and raise the children and the men would leave bright and early to tend to the land. I visited it later on when we went back 8 years after coming here, and it was amazing. I could feel him there, as my dad told me about him as we explored that area. Since my dad was away and most of my family had already moved here, my great grandpa was the only male figure around. We’d visit him in the cemetery a lot, but I don’t remember much of actually being with him.
I remember bathing with my sister in the tub, which is something we did until I was about 7.... I remember a lot of television. I’d watch Power Rangers, and I remember the main ranger being orange, but that could just have been the tv quality. Rupert was also a show that was on a lot. One time I saw something milatary related and I had a broom over my shoulder marching around the kitchen table and I tripped and the broom handle hit me in the face and I fell over. I got yelled at and smacked for being careless.
We then took a twenty-four bus ride to the country where my Dad was working. I remember those carmalized nuts that they usually sell in those Nyc trollies. Nuts4Nuts I think they are called now. We went with my family. My one cousin, who was always and until recently has been a big influence on my life. They showed up when I was a toddler, and he was a big bully. I was sleeping on the couch, and he threw me off so he can sit on it. My sister jumped on his back and beat him silly. My sister and I have always had a deep connection, we were always a team, at least for a little while. When we got to my dad, we all went sight seeing. I remember water falls and massive water fountains. Petting zoos and a carnival. They got us these little bow and arrows, those little zapper guns.... we were having the time of our lives with them.
They went back to Amurica and we went back and forth from my home country to the country where my dad worked till I was 5. Switzerland was where my dad was working. The house in Switzerland was owned by my father’s employers.... it connected to the factory with a large field of grass and was based on a hill. We had a big tree with a swing. My dad built us a sand box to play in. There was a butcher house connected to the house and I was always shit scared of it. He had a garden, and the bathroom was outside connected to the house but you still had to walk out of the house to use it. There was a second floor, and that’s where we lived when I turned 5. I only remember the curtains on the windows being red. I still had a crib when we lived downstairs. I remember watching the simpsons, ET, and Kiki’s Delivery Service when we lived there. We spent most of our time outside. I had family there too. But i’d spend most of my time with this little indian girl. She’d come from her parents and we’d all play together. She seemed to come from a poor family too.
My first video game experience was one of my Dad’s friends daughter had a Gameboy! I remember playing Super Mario Land and Bomberman. They had a fancy little apartment. But we were only there that one time and all I ever wanted to do was play that Game Boy! One of my dad’s coworkers would babysit me some times and he’d take me to junk yards. I remember them joking about catching a rat and asking if I wanted to eat some. And of course I said sure! “Don’t tell anyone about this” I remember him having a lot of porn everywhere too. And when they “boys” would drink and play cards, all the cards were of nude women.
One of the times we went back to Portugal we had some German friends of my family come through. One of the girls was a chubby little curly haired blonde girl with bright blue eyes. We stole a bottle of wine and ran off to a bench to hold hands and drink the wine under the moonlight. I’m sure I was influenced by something on television or I heard it from someone. I was only three years old at that time.
I had a younger cousin, who’s father was also in Switzerland. I would always think about her. We were also inseperable. Everytime someone would buy me candy, i’d always say that they had to get some for her too.
When I turned 5 in the summer we were planning on coming back to Portugal for school. I had stayed only a month. But I had been hit with a ruler in my butt cause I was never following the rules. I wanted to go out and play soccer and with the girls. One time, I was going home from school and this big truck was coming after me. So I ran as fast as I could to my Aunt’s arms. My mom’s eldest sister. She had those long fake nails, and she stabbed me right through behind my ear and the nail came off. I still have a scar back there.
After that month we just picked up and left. We went on a plane ride and we ended up here. I asked my mom if we were ever going back home and she said we here only there for a month. 25 years later, i’m still here.
And that’s my first 5 years of life.
